Abstract

This study aims to compare three digital marketing platforms, namely Facebook Ads, Tiktok, and Google Display Network. The three platforms are product marketing media to increase brand awareness. The method used in this research is a literature review from various scientific sources and advertising experience with the three platforms. The aspects compared are strategy, target, cost, and content. This research shows that each platform has advantages depending on the purpose and form of advertising. Facebook Ads are effective for increasing brand awareness according to the adult target market with simple content in the form of images and persuasive text. Facebook advertising costs are low but less effective for advertising in the form of videos. While Tiktok is suitable for enhancing brands with a target market of teenagers, the content needs to be more creative and innovative so that it attracts the attention of the young and teen audience. While the Google Display Network is more effective for enhancing brand awareness with a more mature concept with a broad target market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that influence the intention of students to use e-government. The study used a survey method with 102 students as respondents from various study departments at Universitas Sebelas Maret, Indonesia, in 2021. The analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the test R-square, path coefficients, outer loading, cross-loading, average variance extracted (AVE), Cronbach's alpha, and composite reliability. The results showed that students' desire to use or access e-government was positively and significantly influenced by students' trust in the government. Students trust to government is influenced by factors perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and security risk. The limitation of this research is that there is no analysis of the mediation test and moderation test.

Abstract

This paper attempts to elaborate on the impact of the Single Draft of CoC in resolving the South China Sea (SCS) dispute. This paper uses the concept of International Dispute Settlement Procedures (IDSPs), where the parties try to resolve problems based on international law. This paper argues that countries in the region have been trying to have CoC mechanisms since the 1990s. Although in 2018, the ASEAN countries and China agreed on a Single Draft of CoC in the SCS, however the settlement of the SCS dispute is far from over. The CoC Single Draft is only a collection of ASEAN and China proposals. The Single Draft weaknesses in terms of legal status are they do not clearly state the obligations of each country to add or withdraw their respective proposals.

Abstract

This article analyzes Indonesia's Global Maritime Fulcrum (GMF) strategy from 2014 to 2024, tracing its transformation from a domestic development initiative to a refined diplomatic tool for managing great power rivalry in the Indo-Pacific. This research utilizes a qualitative case study technique with process tracing to examine official documents, diplomatic exchanges, and quantitative measurements, framed by middle power theory and maritime strategy concepts. The findings indicate that Indonesia's GMF strategy evolved through three distinct phases, achieving significant milestones such as a 234% enhancement in maritime surveillance coverage, the establishment of 89 bilateral maritime cooperation agreements, and effective mediation in regional maritime disputes with an 83% success rate. These results markedly surpassed earlier academic forecasts, demonstrating Indonesia's adept utilization of its geographic advantages and diplomatic skills to establish regional leadership despite the limitations of its middle power status. Despite the GMF's effectiveness being constrained by intensifying great power rivalry and internal limitations, Indonesia has adeptly established itself as a crucial player in Indo-Pacific maritime governance through the integration of institutional development, diplomatic efforts, and operational collaboration, providing significant insights into middle power conduct in intricate regional security contexts.

This study aims to analyze digital political campaigns using Facebook Ads. Political campaigns in this digital era are carried out through social media to attract the engagement of prospective voters. This research uses a case study of the Facebook ads campaign of one of the winning pairs for the regional head election in Bantul, Indonesia. Facebook as a social media for campaigning. The results of this study indicate that the Facebook Ads campaign successfully reached the target audience. The total reach during the 30 days ad serving period was 646,142. This figure is categorized as high because when compared to the number of voters registered in the final voter list for the Bantul election (704,688), this figure has reached most of the targeted voters. Similar to reach, Facebook Ads campaign impression data also fluctuated during the ad serving period. The total number of impressions during 30 days of ad serving was 669,149. Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia’s foreign policy has long carried a language of solidarity, especially toward oppressed Muslim communities such as the Palestinians and the Rohingya. While existing scholarship tends to explain Indonesia’s foreign policy through normative, religious, or strategic orientations, it has largely neglected the role of emotions in shaping foreign policy orientation. The article employs a post-positivist analytical lens—Affective Foreign Policy Analysis—to examine Indonesia's emotions in two case studies: the Palestinian Case and the Rohingya Crisis. The emotions considered are solidarity, compassion, pride, and ambivalence. In the Palestinian case, Indonesia has consistently taken a firm stance, drawing on its own parallelism and the emotional resonance of Islamic solidarity. In contrast, Indonesia has displayed a more ambivalent stand over the Rohingya crisis: strong affective mobilization at the societal level and yet restrained and selective humanitarianism at the state level, limited by sovereignty concerns and Indonesia’s non-signatory status to the 1951 Refugee Convention. Through comparative case studies analysis, the article argues that emotions sustain Indonesia’s foreign policy discourse while exposing gaps between solidarity and strategy within institutional constraints. The article concludes that understanding Global South foreign policy requires taking the role of emotions seriously as central mediators between ideals and interests. Keywords: Indonesia’s foreign policy, Palestine, Rohingya, Affective solidarity, Strategic ambivalence. Kata-kata Kunci: Kebijakan luar negeri Indonesia, Palestina, Rohingya, Solidaritas afektif, Ambivalensi strategis.

Abstract

This study aims to identify community participation in developing a tourist village and implement tourism development in Ketenger Village through community-based tourism (CBT). Ketenger Village is a tourist village having various destinations and tourist areas so that the potential for village development can still be developed. The data in this study were collected through field observations, interviews, and focus group discussions with related parties. Data were analyzed using qualitative methods. The study results indicated that the participation or involvement of the Ketenger Village community in several CBT standards had been partly met, while others need to be improved. Despite having Pokdarwis (Tourism-aware Group), the village government was still the main motor of tourism. Therefore, some of the main development opportunities for Ketenger Village that can be done are improving the quality of community management (in planning, implementation, and evaluation), improving the quality of human resources, encouraging host and tourist interaction, and maximizing marketing through social media (not only depending on newspaper journalists). Keywords: community-based tourism, community participation, Ketenger Village, tourism.
