Abstract

This research is an engineering research that aims to: 1) Know the party dress design using the pinisi tower idea as the source motif, 2) Know the process of making party dress techniques, 3) Know the steps in the process of making Sashiko Technique Motifs with the pinisi tower idea source 4) Know the opinion of the panelists about the result of the party dress using the motif of the Finish Tower idea. The data collection instruments used were Focus Group Discussion (FGD), observation and documentation. The results showed that: 1) The party dress design with the pinisi tower motif uses the H silhouette of the overalls and has a prinses line on the front where the line reaches the bottom, on the right side there is a pinisi tower motif as well as on the chest and upper back with embroidery using the Sashiko technique, has smooth sleeves, shanghai collar and back zipper, 2) The technique for making party dresses begins with designing, making patterns, designing materials, cutting, sewing clothes, embroidering motifs to the finishing stage 3). Making the Sashiko technique for party attire using the pinisi tower idea source motif, carried out by preparing tools and materials to make embroidery with the shasiko technique using embroidery thread that matches the pinisi tower motif color 4) Panelist opinion on the results of the party dress using the Sashiko embroidery technique and motifs Pinisi tower ideas are in the very good category with an average score of 92,5%.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and comprehend the procedures involved in the development of a Project Based Learning-based Textile Crafts learning module. It also aims to analyze the feasibility of the learning module in the Textile Crafts course to enhance student learning outcomes. The development procedure follows the ADDIE model, which consists of five main steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research results indicate that: (1) the developed learning module for the Textile Crafts course is categorized as valid, and (2) the students response to the learning module yields positive feedback. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed Project Based Learning-based Textile Crafts module is suitable for use as teaching material in the Textile Crafts course at the Department of Home Economics Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pelatihan Pembuatan taplak meja dari Kain Perca pada ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Desa Bonde Utara Kecamatan Pamboang Kabupaten Mejene perlu dilakukan untuk memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada mitra sasaran tentang pentingnya Pembuatan taplak meja dari Kain Perca pada ibu-ibu rumah tangga untuk manfaat jangka panjang sehingga mitra sasaran dapat menjadikan Pembuatan taplak meja dari Kain Perca pada ibu-ibu rumah tangga ini sebagai alternatif peluang usaha karena memiliki banyak peminat dari berbagai kalangan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam kegiatan PKM ini berfokus untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra, sebagai berikut: (1) mitra sasaran kurang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan taplak meja dari kain perca, (2) mitra sasaran kurang mengenal alat dan bahan yang digunakan pembuatan taplak meja dari kain perca. Solusi yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat yaitu melakukan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan yaitu: “Pelatihan pembuatan taplak meja dari kain perca” sasaran kegiatan ini adalah ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Desa Bonde Utara Kecamatan Pamboang Kabupaten Mejene Sulawesi Barat.
