Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the physiological ripen time of mengkudu seed based on penology study. The study was conducted in the Green House and Experimental Farm of Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). Penological observation was done since the beginning of flowering until the fruit formation was completed and mature. The experiment conducted used three trees, in each tree three branches with all their blossoming flowers were labeled for observation.  Therefore, there were 3 x 3 = 9 branches including their flowers were observed for the flower transformations and development, fruit formation and fruit maturity stages. There were three stages found for the mengkudu fruit to reach maturity.  Such stages were stage M-1 (perfectly           fruit formation), stage M-2 (morphological mature), and stage M-3 (physiological mature). Based on visual observation, the exocarp changes were followed by mesocarp (fruit meat) and endocarp            (seed skin) transformations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa LKPD berbasis Learning Cycle 7E pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia yang bersifat valid, praktis dan efektif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru biologi dan peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 di SMAN 7 Pinrang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data kevalidan diperoleh melalui lembar validasi instrumen penelitian pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia, data kepraktisan diperoleh melalui angket respon guru dan angket respon peserta didik, dan data keefektifan diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar peserta didik. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata total kevalidan pengembangan produk berada pada kategori sangat valid (4,54). Hasil respon memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan karena rata-rata respon peserta didik terhadap pengembangan produk berada pada kategori sangat parktis (88,39%) dan rata rata nilai respon guru terhadap pengembangan produk berada pada kategori sangat praktis (81,33%). Pengembangan produk memenuhi kriteria keefektifan karena jumlah peserta didik yang memperoleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,68 yang berada pada kategori sedang dan untuk persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik berada pada kategori sangat efektif (86,20%). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Learning Cycle 7E yang dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif serta dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This Research and Development (R and D) concerns on Alternative learning media development regarding comic book biologyfor Human Digestive system subject. The R and D’s model used Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE). Validity test obtained from two expert validators and Practicality test obtained from the using of media by teacher and students. The Develop stage of this study conducted by validating comic book for further be implemented on SMP Negeri 1 Tinggimoncong, Class of VIIIA. The number of subjects comprised of 32 students. Data collected from interview, observation and questionnaire. The result of validity test showed the average of media feasibility percentage is  92%. While the subject matter feasibility gained 87%. Both of these result showed very decent category which was meant that the media is feasible to be used. The average of teacher and students respond gained 85% and 87% respectively toward positive respond. From the point of feasibility which had been evaluated by validity and practical test, this study can be conclude that comic book is valid and practice learning media to be implemented in learning process.

Abstract

The 21st century learning paradigm requires teachers to be able to integrate using technology, information, and communication (ICT) in learning. Technological, Pedagogical, Content, and Knowledge (TPACK) is a framework in designing new learning models by integrating technology in teaching. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the research design of The One Group Pretest-posttest which aims to test the effectiveness of an integrated blended learning environment in the Bloom-Redekker_Guerra mapping model in empowering self-regulated learning of students. The study was conducted in the XI MIA 1 class of Gowa 10 Senior High Schools totaling 36 students in the odd semester of the academic year 208/2019. Self-regulated lerning (metacognitive skills) of students is measured using an essay test that is integrated with the achievement test. Data were analyzed using descriptive techniques. The results showed that the integrated blended learning environment of the Bloom-Rederker-Guerra (B – R – G) mapping model was effective in empowering the self-regulate learning of students. Therefore, the integration of ICT in learning is seen as important to do so that the learning independence of students can be trained.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of mind mapping on improving students' creative thinking abilities. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this article collects and analyzes relevant research results to provide a comprehensive picture of this topic. The results of the study show that mind mapping helps students organize information visually, which makes it easier for them to see relationships between concepts more clearly and holistically. The use of mind mapping has also been proven to stimulate students' creativity by encouraging them to think divergently and produce various new ideas. Additionally, mind mapping facilitates collaboration among students, allowing them to share ideas and work together on group projects, which is important for the development of creative thinking skills. By helping students see the relationships between concepts more clearly and holistically, mind mapping has proven to be effective in improving creative thinking abilities. Therefore, it is recommended that the integration of mind mapping in the learning process be implemented more widely in the educational curriculum. Teacher training regarding mind mapping techniques is also an important factor in ensuring effective and optimal implementation and improving students' creative thinking abilities. Thus, mind mapping not only functions as a learning tool but also as an effective method for developing students' overall creative potential.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are skills that develop an idea or ideas based on existing problems or solve problems from various points of view. The results of the 2015 GCI survey show that the creative thinking ability of Indonesian people is still low, ranking 86th in the creative class 93 countries. This research aims to determine the creative thinking abilities of high school students regarding environmental pollution material in terms of gender differences. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were class XI students of SMA Negeri 4 Sidrap for the 2023–2024 academic year, with a sample of 30 students. The sample was determined by random sampling. Data collection techniques use tests. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical processing. The results of the research show that the percentage score of students' creative thinking ability on the indicators of fluency is 65.52%, originality is 71.97%, flexibility is 69.97%, and elaboration is 73.64%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterampilan kolaborasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek Penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2024/2025 sebanyak 138 orang, terdiri dari 20 Laki-laki dan 118 Perempuan. Sampel dipilih secara accidental sampling dengan 12 orang laki-laki dan 85 orang perempuan. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert 1-4. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa Hasil uji-t Untuk uji one-tail, nilai p-value 0.0963>0.05, yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan antara kedua variabel. Untuk uji two-tail, nilai p-value 0.1926>0.05, sehingga perbedaan rata-rata antar kelompok juga tidak signifikan secara statistik.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the effect of discovery learning model assisted by liveworksheets on the independence of biology learning of high school class XI students. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 14 Makassar. The research sample was selected randomly (random sampling) so that two classes were obtained, namely class XI MIPA 6 as an experimental class that used the discovery learning model assisted by liveworksheets and class XI MIPA 1 as a control class with 33 students each. Data collection was carried out by giving a questionnaire of learning independence as many as 30 statement items with four answer choices. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average value of the posttest in the experimental class was 86.09 higher than the average value of the control posttest which was 73.48. This study used covariate analysis (Anacova). Based on the results of inferential analysis obtained sig 0.001 smaller than 0.05. It can be concluded that the discovery learning model assisted by liveworksheets has an effect on the learning independence of biology students in class XI SMA.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru Biologi di SMA Negeri 3 Bulukumba dalam merancang dan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis Citizen Science menggunakan teknologi akuaponik dan aeroponik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan serta observasi keterampilan praktik guru. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan guru rata-rata sebesar 58,6%, dari 25%-40% sebelum pelatihan menjadi 85%-94% setelah pelatihan. Keterampilan praktik guru juga meningkat signifikan sebesar 61,2%, dengan penguasaan keterampilan merakit sistem akuaponik dan aeroponik meningkat dari 15% menjadi 85%, serta kemampuan merancang RPP berbasis proyek lingkungan dari 25% menjadi 88%. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi teknis guru, tetapi juga memperkuat keterampilan abad 21 seperti berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan literasi digital yang relevan dengan era Society 5.0. Dengan demikian, program ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat pembelajaran kontekstual di wilayah pesisir sekaligus mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal melalui teknologi berkelanjutan
