Abstract

The film Tuan X is a fictional film with the theme of psychology. This film is very closely related to one's personal life. Films that tell about the condition of someone who is experiencing severe frustration so that his psychological was disturbed and it made him did things that are not normal. The production of Tuan X film is based on the concepts of directing, videography, editing, and sound that have been set before. From the film that was successfully created, it appears that gestures can be used to show a psychological picture of a character. The right gestures can be supported by repetition of movements so that it strengthens a character of the figure, so that the intensity of the tension / thriller of the story in reaching a climax is in accordance to the genre raised. In addition, the gesturessucceeded in becoming a signifier of the psychological reality of the character.

Abstract

Dalam era digital, video promosi menjadi alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan apresiasi terhadap budaya. Video promosi memungkinkan penyampaian pesan yang kuat mengenai pentingnya pelestarian budaya dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Workshop ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kreativitas serta keterampilan teknis siswa dalam teknologi video, khususnya dalam produksi video promosi. Bentuk workshop meliputi keterampilan kreatif, teknis, dan analitis, termasuk pembuatan konten visual, pengeditan, pencahayaan, serta penggunaan alat digital. Metode yang digunakan mencakup ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, serta praktik langsung dalam pembuatan video promosi di lokasi-lokasi bersejarah di Kota Sawah Lunto. Hasilnya, siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri, berpikir kritis, dan kreatif dalam merespons lingkungan sekitar. Workshop ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga membentuk pola pikir inovatif dan sikap profesional dalam memproduksi konten promosi budaya yang berkualitas.

Abstract

This study discusses the process of ecranizing the novel into a film form Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan directed by Harris Nizam. The purpose of this study is to describe the changes and find out the motives for the differences between the novel and the film after the ecranization process takes place based on the aspects of additions, subtractions, and deletions. The method used in this study is a qualitative method which is presented descriptively using George Bluestone's ecranization theory approach to present data accompanied by a description of the research results.The results of identifying the story elements of novels and films are used as comparative data on the changes that occur from the ecranization of novels to films. Each element of the story is related to one another. Changes in one element of the story from the ecranization of the novel to the film cause changes in other story elements. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the ecranization of the novel Surat Kecil Untuk Tuhan has undergone several changes, including shrinking, adding and varying changes. These changes occur in the elements of the theme, story characters, setting, and plot. The most significant change is the shrinking of the plot, this occurs because the ecranization film is actually a summary of the story from the novel.
