Abstract

Soil macrofauna is part of soil biodiversity that plays a roleimportant in improving the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil. Soil macrofauna has an important role in the decomposition of soil organic matter in providing nutrients. Macrofauna will break up the dead vegetable substances, then the material will be excreted in the form of feces.This study aims to determine the diversity of soil macrofauna types in organic potato cultivation land in Candikuning Village, Tabanan Regency. Data were collected by direct observation method using quadratic tools. Data in the form of soil macrofauna diversity were analyzed using the Shannon Wienner diversity index. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the diversity index value (H ') was 3.103, belonging to the high diversity criteria (H'> 3). The results showed that the organic farming system can maintain the stability of the soil ecosystem due to the use of organic fertilizers and biopesticides in agricultural management. The results of this study can also be used as a source of learning biology in the application of the 2013 curriculum in class 10th of Senior High School, on the subject matter of Biodiversity and Animalia Kingdom.

Abstract

Terumbu karang adalah salah satu ekosistem penting bagi keberlanjutan kawasan pesisir dan lautan serta mempunyai banyak fungsi ekologis. Ekosistem tersebut sangat sensitif terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Kebijakan pembatasan aktivitas manusia selama masa pandemi Covid-19 dan berkurangnya berbagai kegiatan ekonomi termasuk beberapa sektor industri memberikan potensi pemulihan ekosistem terumbu karang. Fenomena tersebut merupakan dampak positif pandemi Covid-19 terhadap lingkungan. Pemulihan ekosistem terumbu karang akan terjadi bila tekanan akibat aktivitas manusia dibatasi.

Abstract

Anemia pada ibu hamil dapat meningkatkan resiko kelahiran prematur, kematian ibu dan anak, serta penyakit infeksi lainnya. Pengetahuan mengenai anemia khususnya pada saat kehamilan sangatlah penting bagi ibu hamil untuk menjaga tumbuh kembang janin selama dalam kandungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi ibu hamil tentang penyakit anemia di UPTD Puskesmas Dawan I Kabupaten Klungkung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, data persepsi ibu hamil dikumpulkan berdasarkan umur ibu hamil, umur kehamilan, tingkat pendidikan, tingkat pendapatan keluarga, dan tingkat pengetahuannya terhadap anemia. Data tersebut dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi ibu hamil terhadap penyakit anemia di UPTD Puskesmas Dawan I Kabupaten Klungkung tergolong cukup baik.

Abstract

Hama adalah  Organime Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT) yang secara alamiah memiliki musuh alaminya  dan merupakan bagian dari keanekaragaman hayati, saling mempengaruhi menuju keseimbangan. Hama  merusak dan mengganggu tanaman pada bagian akar, batang, daun, bunga, dan buah, misalnya pada tanaman padi.  Kerusakan tersebut menyebabkan tanaman padi tidak dapat tumbuh dengan baik sehingga terjadi penurunan hasil panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis hama tanaman padi di area persawahan Subak Kedua Desa Peguyangan Kangin Kecamatan Denpasar Utara Kota Denpasar sebagai Sumber Pembelajaran Biologi.  Data dikumpulkan dengan alat kudrat ukuran 1x1 meter, sedangkan pengamatan hama burung dilakukan dengan metode titik pengamatan (point count). Data dianalisis dengan indeks keanekaragaman dari  Shannon-Wiener. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa indeks keanekaragaman (Hi) hama tanaman padi di area persawahan Subak Kedua yaitu 2,574. Berdasarkan  kriteria 1<Hi<3, maka  tergolong keragaman sedang. Hama yang dominan yaitu hama keong mas dengan jumlah 262 (14,88%). Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran biologi pada kelas X SMA/MA pada materi pokok keanekaragaman hayati dan ekosistem.

Abstract

This study was conducted on the people of Sanur Kaja Village who still use medicinal plants as treatment. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the types of plants and to find out how the people of Sanur Kaja Village process them as traditional medicinal plants and to find out how the people of Sanur Kaja Village process them as traditional medicine. The research used in this study was the Random Sampling method, in determining respondents using the Slovin formula. In this study, interviews were conducted with 50 people in Sanur Kaja Village. The data taken included: types of plants used as medicine, parts used and how to use them. Data analysis in this study was in the form of qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, 15 types of plants were found that could be used as medicine with the dominant plants used as medicine being turmeric, betel, ginger, temulawak and mengkudu. The parts of the plant used as medicine by the people of Sanur Kaja Village are leaves, stems, fruits, rhizomes and tubers. The way of processing plants used as medicine by the people of Sanur Kaja Village is by boiling, burning, chewing, crushing, grating, pounding, heating. Ethnobotany studies in Sanur Kaja Village are the first step to provide traditional knowledge to the village community about plants that are useful as medicine so that they can be passed on to the next generation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the self regulated learning model on emotional intelligence and biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar. The population in this study were all class X MIA students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar consisting of 7 classes. Sampling used a random sampling technique, where class X MIA 7 was the experimental class and class X MIA 5 was the control class. Emotional intelligence data and student learning outcomes data were obtained using an essay test method and analyzed using a t-test. Based on the analysis of the hypothesis testing of emotional intelligence data and student learning outcomes data with a t-test, a significance figure of 0.00 was obtained with a significance level of 5%. This shows that the examiner's significance figure <the set significance figure (0.00 <0.05) so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the self regulated learning model affects emotional intelligence and biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar.

Abstract

. Hindu religious ceremonies in Bali always use upakara or banten as a means of getting closer to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Plants are one of the ceremonial equipment in the form of leaves, fruit, and flowers. The use of fruit, especially local fruit, has an important meaning in making upakara. Among the various types of fruit, some of them can be found easily, but some are rarely found so they are considered rare. Based on these facts, various efforts are needed to preserve it. Preserving local fruit can be done by: limiting imported fruit and preferring to consume local fruit to prevent extinction; cultivating or multiplying local fruit plants; not cutting down local fruit trees carelessly; applying the principles of logging and planting; and maintaining plants and care for them properly. Another effort is local wisdom which is spread through myths and folklore. The use of plant species, including fruit, in ceremonies provides a mandate or message of responsibility for preserving plants so that the ceremony can continue.

Abstract

Penggunaan fungisida sintetis sebagai agen antijamur telah banyak dilakukan, namun residunya dapat menimbulkan resistensi pada lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan antifungi berbasis bahan alam yang aman dan efektif menjadi solusi yang yang ramah lingkungan. Daun cengkeh diketahui mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti eugenol, flavonoid, dan tanin yang memiliki aktivitas antimikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak etanol daun cengkeh dalam menghambat pertumbuhan A. niger. Metode yang digunakan eksperimen dengan rancangan posttest only control group design. Uji aktivitas antijamur dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram pada media Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak sebesar 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, dan 30%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan konsentrasi ekstrak berbanding lurus dengan luas zona hambat yang terbentuk. Zona hambat terluas ditemukan pada konsentrasi 30% dengan diameter rata- rata 15,0 mm (sangat kuat). Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun cengkeh memiliki potensi sebagai bahan aktif dalam formulasi biofungisida nabati, yang aman dan ramah lingkungan.
