Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of community policing in drug abuse prevention in Cikaret Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document study. The study findings indicate that community policing has been implemented by the Narcotics Investigation Unit through the Drug-Free Village Program. The program generally succeeded in reducing the intensity of drug abuse cases. This was driven by the establishment of partnerships between the police, the community, and stakeholders. The partnership between the police and the community is reflected in the empowerment of the community to become members of Drug-Free Village task force. There are obstacles in the implementation of the program, including the lack of community participation, limited budget to support positive activities, the lack of police approach with the surrounding community, and the low intensity of patrols by the police. Therefore, to streamline community policing, the synergy between the police, community, and stakeholders needs to be strengthened.

Abstract

This study examines the primary motivations of authors in creating erotic slash fanfiction using Thai boys-in-love actors on the app X. Adopting a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, and interpreted through the lens of Symbolic Interactionism Theory and Labeling Theory, this study highlights how authors understand and interact with this phenomenon. The findings indicate that authors perceive their work as a form of self-expression, art, and entertainment, despite being aware of the potential for labeling as pornography or violating legal norms. Their primary motivation stems from the fulfillment of personal imagination and self-satisfaction, which is significantly strengthened by the validation and support of a supportive online community. This community also plays a crucial role in shaping unwritten norms and providing psychological buffers against potential external negative views. Authors demonstrate various strategic responses, including the use of disclaimers and a realistic acceptance of societal perceptions. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a nuanced understanding of online subcultural practices, fostering digital literacy, and suggesting a wise and adaptive approach to content regulation in the digital age. This study also provides insights into how authors of erotic fanfiction on online platforms like X interact with popular cultural values and gender identity. The authors in this study are not only connected to their communities but also engaged in a broader process of identity construction through the characters they create. The Thai boy-love actor, a frequent inspiration in their work, serves as a symbol that reinforces the representation of non-heteronormative relationships, providing space for a more free and inclusive exploration of sexual identity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai tawuran antar kelompok warga yang belakangan ini marak terjadi sebagai salah satu penyebab munculnya keresahan di masyarakat yang mengganggu kemanan dan ketertiban masyarakat adalah salah satu masalah krusial yang harus ditangani bersama. Polisi, sebagai aparat hukum, memang memiliki tanggung-jawab atas masalah ini. Akan tetapi bila dibandingkan dengan anggota masyarakat yang terlibat tawuran tidak sebanding dengan anggota personel polisi yang mengamankan. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu solusi yang saling menguntungkan. Penelitian ini membahas Implementasi Community Policing dalam pencegahan tawuran warga di wilayah hukum Polsek Kebon Jeruk Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami makna dari suatu ranah permasalahan khususnya untuk menggambarkan kinerja Bhabinkamtibmas dalam menerapkan Pemolisian masyarakat bekerjasama dengan Polsek Kebon Jeruk dan masyarakat sekitar. mempraktikkan program Pemolisian masyarakat untuk mencegah tawuran. Polisi beserta masyarakat berupaya menjalin kerjasama dalam mendukung program deteksi dini pencegahan tawuran. Abstract

The focus of this research is to identify the factors that make investors victims of fraud in the context of NFT investments. The theoretical foundation used in this study is the Lifestyle Exposure Theory, which helps in understanding how investors' lifestyles influence their risk of being scammed. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method through interviews to gain an in-depth understanding of fraudulent patterns in NFT projects. Data analysis is conducted using a descriptive approach to thoroughly illustrate and explain the phenomenon, providing insights into the factors that make investors vulnerable to fraud in the context of NFT investments. Lack of self-control and minimal verification of information make investors more susceptible to fraudulent schemes. The habitual factors identified above demonstrate their role as victims in fraud schemes, a concept known as Participating Victims.

Abstract

Tingkat kriminalitas terkait pencurian kendaraan bermotor di Indonesia pada tahun 2019, sebagaimana dilaporkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), mencapai 23.476 kasus. Peningkatan ini sejalan dengan semakin beratnya beban ekonomi serta tingginya tingkat pengangguran. Pelaku tindak pidana tersebut sering kali terlibat dalam permasalahan modernisasi di mana mereka tidak mampu berkompetisi dalam dunia kerja, dipengaruhi oleh faktor ekonomi dan kurangnya profesionalisme. Meskipun tersedia banyak lapangan pekerjaan, mereka tidak memiliki keterampilan profesional yang memadai, sementara di sisi lain mereka memerlukan penghidupan dan pemenuhan kebutuhan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendorong seseorang melakukan pencurian kendaraan bermotor serta upaya penanggulangannya. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, penelitian ini mengajukan beberapa pertanyaan mengenai faktor-faktor penyebab tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor dan langkah-langkah apa saja yang dapat dilakukan untuk menekan tindak pidana tersebut di Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan. Untuk mengkaji permasalahan ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, dokumentasi lapangan, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebab-sebab terjadinya tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor berasal dari faktor internal dan eksternal. Upaya penanggulangan terhadap tindak pidana ini dilakukan melalui penerapan manajemen dalam kegiatan penyidikan yang dilaksanakan oleh kepolisian, serta penerapan upaya preventif dan represif sebagaimana diatur dalam Pasal 362 KUHP. Kesimpulannya, tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor mungkin akan terus terjadi, namun dengan berbagai upaya pencegahan yang efektif, frekuensinya dapat ditekan atau dikurangi.

Abstract

Studi ini berfokus pada teori Pencegahan Kejahatan Situasional (Stuational Crime Prevention) untuk menyelidiki kejadian pencurian motor di wilayah Kampung Baru, Jakarta Selatan. Pencurian kendaraan bermotor adalah masalah besar yang membahayakan keamanan dan kemakmuran masyarakat. Studi ini melihat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejahatan ini dan metode pencegahan yang efektif. Ini dilakukan melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Untuk memberikan gambaran lengkap tentang kondisi ini, wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan betapa pentingnya kerja sama antara penegak hukum dan masyarakat untuk menerapkan strategi pencegahan, seperti pengawasan yang lebih baik, area parkir yang lebih aman, dan pendidikan masyarakat tentang keamanan kendaraan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu membuat kebijakan publik yang lebih baik untuk mengurangi jumlah pencurian motor di Indonesia.

Abstract

Rapid urbanization in the Jabodetabek region has triggered significant security challenges, particularly concerning the increasing incidence of property-related crimes. One affected area is Bojong Gede District, Bogor Regency, which has experienced rapid residential development. This study focuses on Puri Bojong Lestari 2 Housing Complex, which, despite its physical and demographic growth, continues to face serious challenges in environmental security due to its open layout, weak security systems, and numerous unmonitored access roads. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the development of risk management as a crime prevention strategy, grounded in the theory of Situational Crime Prevention (SCP). Data findings indicate persistent weaknesses in the implementation of security systems, including inadequate surveillance, insufficient physical security infrastructure, and low levels of community social participation. The integration of risk management with Situational Crime Prevention (SCP) is believed to enable the development of a more adaptive and effective crime prevention system, encompassing the five key techniques outlined in SCP theory. This study provides practical recommendations for housing managers and policymakers to establish a systematic community security framework.

Abstract

Klaten has the nickname of the city of a thousand umbul, with good water quality making Klaten a place for AMDK companies to operate. This research aims to describe the latent impact of groundwater exploitation carried out by PT X based on the perspective of green criminology. Green criminology highlights various phenomena that have an impact on the environment and the interests of the wider community. With the rise of AMDK (Bottled Drinking Water) companies in the Klaten Regency area, it certainly has a lot of impact on the environment and the surrounding community. Various protests have been filed by the community in the hope that the community's interest in water for their agricultural land can be considered. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews with all parties involved, observation, and literature study. The data collected will be studied using the perspective of green criminology. The results of this research are expected to provide a new understanding for the wider community about how the impact caused by excessive exploitation of groundwater. It is also expected that the community can take part in the process of conserving groundwater so that the amount of groundwater supply.
