Abstract

Background: Schools currently need more interactive and effective learning methods to improve student learning outcomes. Problem Based Learning (PBL) was chosen as an approach because this method encourages students to think critically and solve problems, which is expected to improve their understanding and learning outcomes. Purpose: The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through module development and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of using the module. Method: This study uses the R & D (Research & Development) approach. The development includes an initial trial of 3 validators, that are field trials are limited to 15 students and 2 teachers and the operational field trialas many as 23 students. The nstruments that used are questionnaire, observation, interview, and test. The operational field trial uses the design of one group pre-test and post-test. The learning outcomes data with a paired t-test sample are used to determine the differences in learning outcomes while the increase in learning outcomes is calculated through normalized n-gain. Findings: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded as follows: 1) the science module oriented Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the material nature of objects to improve student learning outcomes refers to Borg & Gall which is modified into nine stages namely research and information collection, planning, initial product design, initial trials, initial product revisions, limited field trials, second product revisions, operational field trials, third product revisions. 2) The feasibility modules oriented on PBL is based on the assessment of material experts, learning experts, media experts, practitioners of education in general obtain very good classification. 3) Development science modules oriented on PBL in material properties of objects can improve student learning outcomes indicated by an average increase of 0.54 calculated through n-gain.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of boarding school management and its implications as an effort to improve the quality of Islamic school and their relevance to Islamic education goals. The research method used is field research with qualitative research. Data collection technique use observation, documentation and in-depth interviews while testing the validity of the data uses source triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Islamic boarding school model with the addition of a special program in the form of tahfidzul Qur'an and its implication is a real effort by schools in improving Islamic schools. It has significant relevance to the goals of Islamic education conceptually and the values ​​of Islamic education in Islamic school in fulfilling aspects of student management developed from the goals of national education.

Abstract

Purpose − The aim of the study was to determine the contribution of educator competencies to academic service quality, to know the contribution of pedagogic competence to academic service quality, to know the personality competency contribution to service quality, to know the contribution of professional competence to academic service quality, and to contribute social competence to academic service quality in MAN Kulon Progo Regency. Method − This type of research is quantitative research. The variables of this study are pedagogical, personality, social, professional, and academic service quality competencies. The population in this study were 134 teachers. The sample of this study was 100 respondents, taken proportionally random sampling with an error rate of 5%. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The analysis uses multiple linear regression. Findings − Conclusion of the study: teacher competence contributes positively to academic service quality, meaning that the higher the competency of the teacher, the higher the quality of academic services. Pedagogic competence contributes positively to the quality of academic services, meaning that the higher the pedagogical competence, the higher the quality of academic services. Personality competencies contribute positively to academic service quality, meaning that the higher the personality competency, the higher the quality of academic services. Professional competence contributes positively to academic service quality, meaning that the higher the professional competence, the higher the quality of service for the academy. Social competence contributes positively to academic service quality, meaning that the higher the social competence, the higher the quality of academic services.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of principal supervision, work discipline, and work environment on the performance of vocational high school teachers in the Wadaslintang sub-district of Wonosobo district both simultaneously and partially . Method − T This research uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 88 teachers. Data collection using survey techniques, with a questionnaire as the research instrument. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis Findings − The results showed that: (1) There is a positive and significant effect of principal supervision, work discipline, and work environment together on the performance of vocational high school teachers in the Wadaslintang sub-district of Wonosobo Regency. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of principal supervision on the performance of vocational school teachers in the Wadaslintang sub-district of Wonosobo Regency. (3) There is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on teacher performance at SMKs in Wadaslintang Sub-district, Wonosobo Regency. (4) There is a positive and significant effect of the work environment on the performance of teachers at SMKs in Wadaslintang Sub-district, Wonosobo Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of caharacter education curricullum in the context of achieving quality education which includes implementation strategies, the relationship of character education with the quality of education and the role of pricipals and the teachers in student character building in Primary school Satu Atap Pakis Magelang. This research was a descriptive qualitative study. Data sources were obtained from in-depth interviews with 4 informants and 5 additional informants. Source of supporting data obtained from observation and documentation. Data collection techniques by interviewing, observing and documenting. Data from interviews, observations and documentation were analyzed descriptively. The data analysis technique in this study used by reducing data, displaying data and verifying research data. As for the test of the validity of the data of this study, namely the extension of observation, increasing perseverance, triangulation and member check.The results of the study indicated that the character education implementation strategy includes the integration of building character values in all subjects and teaching and learning activities both intra-extracurricular, character education through routine habituation, stakeholder involvement and the existence of building character values ( religious values, honesty, love for peace, hard work, creative, respect for achievement, communicative, fond of reading, environmental care, discipline, tolerance, responsibility, democratic, independent, national spirit, self-confidence and social care) in school. There was a close relationship between character education and quality of education as evidenced by the achievements obtained by students both academically and non-academically. The role of principals and teachers includes policy makers, motivators, and role models. There needs to be an increase in stakeholder involvement and communication in building character education values. In addition, there is need to improve the quality of the implementation of integration of activities in character education at SMPN 4 satu atap Pakis Magelang.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore teacher professionalism in improving the quality of students' reading and memorization. Teacher professionalism in learning includes pedagogical competence, mastery of effective learning methods, and skills in creating an effective and supportive learning atmosphere. This research identifies the challenges teachers face in teaching the Koran. Through a literature review approach, this research seeks to explore the relationship between teacher professionalism and student learning outcomes. The results of the study show that teachers who have high expertise in their field, and are able to develop approaches that suit the needs of differentiated students, can significantly improve the quality of students' reading and memorization. However, several challenges that teachers often face, such as lack of training competency, limited time and facilities, hinder the teacher's role. This research tries to provide this picture as well as provide recommendations for strengthening teacher professionalism through continuous training and strengthening policies that support more professional and effective teaching of the Koran.

Abstract

Guru sebagai peneliti melakukan penelitian ini dengan dasar nilai siswa yang masih rendah. Guru juga melakukan evaluasi dan pada kegiatan pembelajaran memang masih didominasi oleh guru. Selain itu, siswa juga belum sepenuhnya dilibtkan dalam latihan pengembangan hasil karya pada mata pelajaran IPA. Siswa juga kebingungan dalam memahami materi organ pencernaan manusia. Pada penelitian tindakan kali ini guru menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) dengan Media Kartu Pintar pada siswa. Diharapkan dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran PBL ini dengan media kartu pintar maka nilai siswa dapat meningkat. Subjek penelitian yakni siswa kelas V SDN Sidomukti I Kecamatan Kraksaan Kabupaten Probolinggo. Hasil peneltian diketahui jika penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatf dengan model PBL ini dapat meningkatkan nilai ketuntasan siswa kelas V SDN Sidomukti I pada mata pelajaran IPA materi organ pencernaan manusia dan juga hewan. Siswa juga sangat antusias dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil ini dapat dilihat dari tren kenaikan ketuntasan siswa mulai dari siklus I hingga siklus III. Nilai ketuntasan siswa siklus I sebesar 55,56%, siklus II naik menjadi 81,58% dan pada siklus III 96,30% nilai ketuntasan siswanya. Dilihat dari skor keterampilan guru dalam mengajar pada siklus I 88 (Baik), siklus II 93 (sangat baik), dan siklus III 97 (sangat baik). Hal ini juga ditunjang dengan aktivitas siswa yang mana skor siklus I sebesar 82 (Baik), siklus II 90 (Baik), dan siklus III 97 (sangat baik).

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian pengembangan ini adalah (1) menghasilkan instrumen sikap ngandel yang baku, (2) mengetahui indikator sikap ngandel, (3)  mengetahui kecenderungan sikap ngandel siswa, pada mata pelajaran fisika.Tahap-tahappengembangan: 1) Validasi expert judgement, 2) Revisi ke 1, 3) Uji keterbacaan, 4) Revisi ke 2, 5) Uji Validitas Isi, 6) Revisi ke 3, 7) instrumen final,8) Implementasi instrument.  Subjek penelitian sebanyak 155 siswa SMP Negeri 3 Prambanan.Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Tersusun instrument  untuk sikap “Ngandel”, yang valid dan reliabel. (2) Instrumen final memiliki 6 indikator yang terdiri atas  24 butir (3) Kecenderungan sikap ngandel  pada pelajaran fisika  siswa SMP Negeri 3 Prambanan dalam kategori sangat tinggi (ST).

Abstract

Multicultural education is an important investment for the future. By providing inclusive education and respecting differences, we can create a generation that is more tolerant, open and ready to face global challenges. This article attempts to explain the meaning of multicultural education by Abdurrahman Wahid, Nurcholis Madjid and Ahmad Syafi'i Ma'arif by comparing and analyzing the relevance of the concept of the three ideas in education in Indonesia. Analysis This research is included in the descriptive analytic category where researchers compose descriptions and analyzes using discourse analysis to avoid overlapping data. Thus, the data analysis technique used is the descriptive analysis method. The aim of this research is firstly, Islamic education must be able to produce a young generation who is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has strong character and noble morals. Second, these three figures have provided a very valuable legacy of thought for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. The concept of multicultural Islamic education that they promote is very relevant to the challenges of the modern era, where society lives in diversity. The three ideas presented have very high relevance in the context of education in Indonesia. The multicultural Islamic education they promote can be a solution to overcome various social problems faced by the Indonesian people, such as radicalism, intolerance and division. Examples include elementary schools studying various types of traditional food from various regions in Indonesia, making handicrafts typical of various tribes, and holding exhibitions of students' work. Middle School holds debates on social issues relevant to diversity, such as discrimination, tolerance, and human rights. Universities hold international seminars by inviting speakers from various countries to share experiences and knowledge.
