Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the Analysis TumbaoRhythm PatternonConga in Necesitas Tu. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out from October 2020 to June 2021. The results of the study can be concluded that the most popular Basic of Latin Cuban is the tumbao pattern. The tumbao pattern is the basic pattern for playing conga in salsa music. In the song Necesitas Tu there are two types of variations of the tumbao pattern, namely: variation I and variation II. It can be concluded that the song Necesitas Tu by Blue Mambo has 9 (nine) parts, namely: intro, main theme, development section, interlude, solo, intro, main theme, development section, and coda. The section that has more than one variation of the tumbao rhythm pattern is the development section. Overall there are 4 (four) techniques used in the tumbao pattern such as heel, fingertip/toe, slap, and open tone. The implication of the results of this study is to explore conga instruments that are of interest in developing percussion skills. Music education institutions are to provide adequate facilities so that students are more active in exploring conga instruments, so that students are motivated to improve their abilities or skills in processing Latin percussion instruments as well as Indonesian ethnic percussion.

Abstract

To maintain the Tarawangsa Art, real effort and appreciation must be made by the community, especially the younger generation, the government and also schools to inherit and preserve Tarawangsa Art so that this art will not become extinct and remain a cultural identity of Indonesia. One effort that can be done is through the regeneration of Tarawangsa Artists towards the young generation. The younger generation has a very important role in the preservation of Tarawangsa Art. The type of research method used in this study is qualitative ethnographic approach. Data collection was carried out using observations, in-depth interviews, literature studies and documentation. In the process of analyzing the data obtained there are several stages including data reduction, data presentation, and inference (verification). The results of research and data analysis in this study concluded that the process of inheritance of tarawangsa artistry carried out by Mr. Pupung applied a learning by doing approach, meaning that they learned the material provided through direct practical activities. In addition, there are 6 stages of learning in the process of inheritance carried out by Mr. Pupung, namely juntrung, ngararaba, nyoba-nyoba, mitemeyan, ngaderes, and hatam. The process of inheritance carried out by Mr. Pupung is by seeing and hearing, not using number notation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the organology of handpan musical instruments made by Daniv Veryana in terms of the manufacturing process. This research focuses on Organology as seen from its physical classification, namely, the first criteria of raw materials / basic materials. Second, the shape and size. Third instrument, parts. Fourth, the manufacturing process. Fifth, the tuning or tuning process. This research uses qualitative methods and descriptive type. Researchers in this case made observations through a video of the manufacturing process sent directly by the resource person Daniv Veryana, in order to open the Handpan manufacturing process, as well as through literature studies and utilization studies in order to obtain optimal data by making a complete application and eliminating the findings. The results obtained are showing the process of making an accepted handpan musical instrument: Steel plate is intact, according to size, ring clamp, making the main dome, forming molds for dimpel / mortar and molding ding, hardening steel, tuning or tuning process. then the tools used in the process of making handpanit: hammer, large, hammer, medium, hammer, small all wrapped in plastic and rubber, drums, rings, ding molds, dimpel / dimple molds, ear muffs, steel scissors, tongs, stoves roses, 3kg gas, and canned welding gas. Abstract

The research method used is determine the organology of Grand Angklung musical instrument in Padasuka, Bandung. Organology which includes physical aspects, namely the basic materials of instruments, shapes, dimensions of construction, methods of manufacture and non-physical aspects, namely functions in music, history, and its distribution. The object of this research is the Grand Angklung musical instrument in Padasuka, Bandung. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this study describe 1) organology which includes physical aspects, (a) the basic materials of the instrument using bamboo and iron, (b) the shape of the long angklung grand instrument with a range of notes like a piano, (c) the size of the grand angklung construction has a length of approx. 3.30 meters with a height of 90 cm, (d) how to make it using electric welding to assemble the frame. 2) organology which includes non-physical aspects, (a) the function of music to accompany a song by having a wider range of tones than other instruments, (b) history before the creation of this instrument, namely the hanging angklung which had problems playing certain songs and the shape of the grand angklung is inspired by YouTube, (c) the spread of this instrument by performing external or internal performances and the studio where it is made is well known to foreign countries. Grand angklung is an innovation in creative angklung creations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the management of COLSTRA (Modern Music and Traditional Collaboration) extracurricular at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Jakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Collecting data by interview, literature study, and documentation. This research was conducted from September 2022 to December 2022 at MAN 4 Jakarta. Data validation uses triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the COLSTRA extracurricular has managed well by paying attention to management functions including planning, organizing, actuating, and controling. Planning carried out by COLSTRA extracurricular includes recruiting members and trainers, planning extracurricular organizational structures, making activity plans that contain work programs, submitting inventories, and designing extracurricular budget costs, and scheduling training in a structured manner. Organizing carried out by the COLSTRA extracurricular is to distribute tasks to divisions in the organizational structure according to authority and responsibility. Basic leadership training is also carried out so that new members and new management can practice their leadership attitudes. COLSTRA extracurricular implementation conforms to plans that have been prepared. Actuating is carried out by utilizing existing facilities and infrastructure and budget costs that have been planned. Controling is carried out by the COLSTRA extracurricular, namely the extracurricular coordinator monitors the sustainability of the extracurricular and conducts training evaluations, organizational evaluations, and final evaluations for extracurricular members. Supervision of extracurricular activities is carried out by looking at COLSTRA's achievements and participation in various activities. Controlling and evaluation activities are carried out so that the extracurricular continues to develop well.
