Abstract

Extracurricular arts programs are an integral part of instilling character qualities in students. This research aimed to map out the constraints to extracurricular arts in elementary schools in Indonesia. To achieve the goal, this research looks at government initiatives aimed at enhancing the standard of arts extracurricular activities in elementary schools across the Country, which were carried out from 2013 to 2019. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a participatory observation approach. They were collecting data using participatory methods, observation, and guided discussion. This study’s results indicate that schools’ various obstacles in implementing extracurricular programs, ranging from the availability of competent teachers in the arts, funding constraints for trainers, and the existence of regional autonomy. This constraint mapping is very useful for designing policies and extracurricular programs that are appropriate for schools.

Abstract

Seni tradisi Janger merupakan salah satu teater rakyat Banyuwangi yang unik. Musik, kostum, dan gerak tari menunjukkan gaya Bali, dialog bahasa Jawa, dan syair tembang berbahasa Using. Seni Janger yang berdiri sejak 1918 dirancang untuk memberikan hiburan kepada masyarakat hingga saat ini telah mengalami modifikasi dan masih diminati oleh masyarakat pendukungnya. Dengan menggunakan metode etnografi, penelitian diawali dengan menghimpun data dari sumber pustaka dan dilengkapi dengan data lapangan yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, obserbasi, dan partisipasi. Analisis data dilakukan sejak tahap penyediaan data. Interpretasi data dilakukan dengan memperhitungkan hubungan antardata secara keseluruhan untuk mendapatkan simpulan yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Janger terus mengalami modifikasi dan mengakomodasi kebutuhan masyarakat penikmat yang direpresentasikan dengan banyaknya selingan tari dan tembang daerah. Arah perkembangan lakon mulai dari bersumber pada sejarah Majapahit, cerita rakyat, sejarah Nusantara, dan sejarah nasional. Perkembangan lakon dipicu oleh tuntutan pasar khususnya penanggap Janger. Produk industri kreatif berbasis Janger berupa inovasi dan kreasi secara internal dengan melakukan pembaharuan. Kreasi eksternal dilakukan dengan menciptakan produk industri kreatif. Salah satu kreasi berupa industri cetak yang ditulis oleh Aekanu Hariyono. Cara tersebut berpotensi dikembangkan untuk penulisan cerita rakyat dan berbagai lakon Janger. Abstract

Improving students’ interest in music subject through practical learning in junior high schoolThis research aims to investigate problems and ways to increase students’ interest in music learning with practical learning methods. This study uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative (mixed) methods. Data were collected by means of questionnaires, observations and interviews. They were then analyzed by calculating the presentation of the success of the actions in this study. Indicator analysis consists of several aspects, including affective data (attitudes) obtained from observations, cognitive (knowledge) obtained from the students’ assessment, and the questionnaire analysis of the research sample. Researchers took a research sample at one of the schools in Jakarta. Then the researchers randomly selected 15 students from different classes in the school as research participants. The results showed that practical learning could increase students’ interest by 87% in category A with a very satisfying indexation when compared to the previous method applied by most teachers, the classical learning method.Keywords: practice learning, students’ interest, music learning, music educationMeningkatkan minat belajar musik siswa melalui pembelajaran praktek di SMPPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji masalah dan berupaya untuk meningkatkan minat belajar musik siswa dengan metode pembelajaran praktek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif (campuran). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner, observasi, dan wawancara. Pengumpulan data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan menghitung penyajian keberhasilan tindakan dalam penelitian ini. Analisis indikator terdiri dari aspek data afektif (sikap) yang diperoleh dari observasi dan aspek kognitif (pengetahuan) yang diperoleh dari penilaian siswa, serta hasil analisis angket sampel penelitian. Peneliti mengambil sampel penelitian di salah satu sekolah di Jakarta. Kemudian peneliti memilih secara acak 15 siswa dari kelas yang berbeda di sekolah tersebut sebagai objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran praktik dapat meningkatkan minat siswa sebesar 87% pada kategori A dengan indeksasi yang sangat memuaskan dibandingkan metode sebelumnya yang diterapkan oleh sebagian besar guru, yaitu metode pembelajaran klasikal.Kata kunci: pembelajaran praktek, minat siswa, pembelajaran musik, pendidikan musik

Abstract

GPSDI merupakan singkatan dari Gereja Pantekosta Serikat di Indonesia. GPSDI Sukorejo merupakan salah satu gereja yang ada di Jawa Tengah dan letaknya berada di desa. Gereja tersebut merupakan gereja yang masih berkembang, sehingga masih memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk memajukan gereja tersebut. Gereja tersebut memiliki jumlah jemaat yang terdiri atas sepuluh kepala keluarga. Terdapat kendala yang dimiliki oleh gereja tersebut dimana minat remaja dalam pelayanan musik masih kurang. Kurangnya minat tersebut karena tidak adanya kemampuan dalam bermain musik yang dimiliki remaja di gereja tersebut. Metode Pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam program pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada dasarnya dilakukan melalui program pelatihan musik yang diperuntukan bagi remaja di GPSDI Sukorejo, Kecamatan Tegowanu, Kabupaten Grobogan, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan selama enam bulan dengan empat kali jumlah pertemuan dengan menyesuaikan situasi pandemi covid 19 yang sedang terjadi. Pelatihan musik yang dilakukan melibatkan remaja yang ada di GPSDI Sukorejo untuk dilatih bermain alat musik dan bernyanyi. Tim pengabdian terjun langsung dan berinteraksi dengan mitra dalam kegiatan pelatihan yang diadakan. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan terbukti dapat meningkatkan minat remaja dan membekali keterampilan dalam bermain musik.

Abstract

The ongoing pandemic conditions until now, causing the learning process to be done online. Online learning seems boring because the online learning methods and media that are applied are less creative and varied. Teachers' incompetence in using technology is one of the causes of boring learning, so schools and teachers are trying to find the right method or media to make learning more interesting. The purpose of this study is to describe the TikTok application as music learning media from SMAN 1 Muara Enim, South of Sumatra. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research method. This research was conducted in Perumahan Bumi Eraska Blok E7 no 12. The researcher got the data from observation of the learning outcomes of students and teacher of SMAN 1 Muara Enim South Sumatra, through Youtube and the TikTok application. The time of this research was conducted from March to June. Data collected were the result of interviews, literature, observation, and documentation. The result of this research indicates that the TikTok application can be used as a music learning medium. In utilizing the TikTok application there  must be appropriate steps and methods to achieve learning objectives. there are positive effects in the use of the TikTok application at SMAN 1 Muara Enim, namely can make students get more confidence in the music subject, familiarizing students with the use of technology 4.0 especially in the music subject, increasing student interaction during distance learning, making it easier for teachers and students with its features to make music learning videos, make students more interactive, and as a promotional tool for the school.

Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran harus mampu beradaptasi dengan situasi yang sedang terjadi. Kondisi saat ini menuntut adanya perubahan model pembelajaran dari konvensional ke modern. Penyesuaian yang cepat akan membantu dalam menciptakan model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini mengkaji model pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang dapat diterapkan pada mata kuliah teori musik. Flipped classroom salah satu model pembelajaran yang sesuai digunakan dalam pembelajaran musik saat ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji, menjelaskan, dan mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Flipped classroom pada mata kuliah teori musik di Program Studi Pendidikan Musik Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi, angket, studi dokumenter, dan wawancara. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkuliahan teori musik yang dilakukan melalui model Flipped classroom  dengan menggunakan platform google classroom, whatsapp, dan zoom dapat mempermudah proses perkuliahan saat terjadi pandemi. Selain itu kemampuan siswa cenderung meningkat dibandingkan model pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan secara konvensional di kelas. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan nilai akhir mahasiswa pada mata kuliah teori musik.AbstractLearning must be able to adapt to the situation that is happening. The current condition demands a change in the learning model from conventional to modern. Quick adjustments will help in creating a more effective and efficient learning model. This study examines a technology-based learning model that can be applied to music theory courses. The flipped classroom is one of the appropriate learning models used in learning music today. Therefore, this study aims to examine, explain, and describe the application of the flipped classroom learning model in music theory courses in the Music Education Study Program of Jakarta State University. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are through observation, questionnaires, documentary studies, and interviews. The data collected is then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that music theory lectures conducted through the flipped classroom model using the google classroom, WhatsApp, and zoom platforms could facilitate the lecture process during a pandemic. Besides, students' abilities tend to increase compared to learning models that are carried out conventionally in class. This is evidenced by the final score of students in music theory courses.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Cisaat, Subang, Jawa Barat memiliki potensi alam yang cukup untuk menjadikannya tujuan wisata yang menarik. Dukungan terhadap konsep desa wisata perlu ditingkatkan melalui partisipasi masyarakat dalam bidang seni, sehingga Desa Cisaat dapat menampilkan daya tarik alam dan seni yang menggugah rasa indah. Dalam menghadirkan aspek seni di Desa Cisaat, diperlukan keahlian dari penduduk setempat. Kekayaan seni yang ada di Desa Cisaat saat ini masih memerlukan upaya pengembangan, mengingat potensinya yang sangat besar. Komunitas di desa ini memiliki populasi yang signifikan dari kalangan anak-anak dan remaja, yang secara potensial bisa berperan penting dalam mengembangkan Desa Cisaat menjadi destinasi wisata yang unggul. Tantangan yang dihadapi di sini adalah keterbatasan jumlah individu yang memiliki pengalaman dan pengetahuan di bidang musik. Pembelajaran seni di Desa Cisaat masih bersifat tradisional, dengan pengetahuan seni yang diwariskan dari generasi tua hanya kepada anggota keluarga. Banyak di antara generasi muda yang belum memiliki kemampuan bermain musik, mereka hanya menjadi penonton pasif dan tidak terlibat dalam aktivitas seni yang ada di desa ini. Melalui program pengabdian, masyarakat diberi pelatihan dalam keterampilan musik, yang pada gilirannya akan membuka peluang bagi pengembangan komunitas dalam bidang seni dan pariwisata. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam memperkaya sektor budaya dan seni di Desa Cisaat, serta berkontribusi terhadap perkembangan desa sebagai destinasi wisata yang menarik

Abstract

Petik Laut Muncar is a village ritual for fishing communities in the Muncar Beach area. Bersih Desa represents gratitude for the fish-catch and safety that have been obtained during the past years by expecting for future catches and safety. This article aimed to explain marine rituals’ potential, namely Petik Laut as a basis for developing ecotourism and literary tourism. The research used the ethnographic method which began with providing library data by reading the library sources, such as books, articles, proceedings, and news about the potential of Petik Laut Muncar. The data obtained from the library sources were complemented by field data obtained through observation, participation, and in-depth interviews with selected informants, namely the head of the Muncar fishermen association, person-in-charge of Muncar fish market, businessmen for processing fish and other marine biotas, and local government in the Muncar’s Fishermen Beach area. Data analysis was carried out continuously since the data provision stage. Data interpretation is carried out semiotics by placing each event as a cultural sign that is interrelated as a whole. The potential for ecotourism on Muncar Fisherman Beach is mangrove forest, coral reef cultivation, and pearl shell cultivation. The potential for literary tourism at Muncar Fishermen Beach is the life story of Buyut Sayid Yusuf as a pioneer of the Muncar fishing village who was buried in Sembulungan Beach. The legend of Ulupang-pang Beach relating to the historical background of the struggle of the Using Banyuwangi people against the Dutch. and local government in the Muncar Fishermen Beach area. Data analysis was carried out continuously since the data provision stage. Data interpretation was carried out semiotically by placing each event as a cultural sign that was mutually related as a unity. The potential for ecotourism on Muncar’s fisherman was mangrove forest, coral reef, and pearl oyster cultivation. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the management of COLSTRA (Modern Music and Traditional Collaboration) extracurricular at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Jakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Collecting data by interview, literature study, and documentation. This research was conducted from September 2022 to December 2022 at MAN 4 Jakarta. Data validation uses triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the COLSTRA extracurricular has managed well by paying attention to management functions including planning, organizing, actuating, and controling. Planning carried out by COLSTRA extracurricular includes recruiting members and trainers, planning extracurricular organizational structures, making activity plans that contain work programs, submitting inventories, and designing extracurricular budget costs, and scheduling training in a structured manner. Organizing carried out by the COLSTRA extracurricular is to distribute tasks to divisions in the organizational structure according to authority and responsibility. Basic leadership training is also carried out so that new members and new management can practice their leadership attitudes. COLSTRA extracurricular implementation conforms to plans that have been prepared. Actuating is carried out by utilizing existing facilities and infrastructure and budget costs that have been planned. Controling is carried out by the COLSTRA extracurricular, namely the extracurricular coordinator monitors the sustainability of the extracurricular and conducts training evaluations, organizational evaluations, and final evaluations for extracurricular members. Supervision of extracurricular activities is carried out by looking at COLSTRA's achievements and participation in various activities. Controlling and evaluation activities are carried out so that the extracurricular continues to develop well.
