Abstract

Bread products are a useful source of nutrients as a food source. Bread is made with flour as the main raw material which has hazards and risks to health depending on the duration and concentration of exposure and its microbial in it. Health complaints that are often experienced by baker workers are asthma, sensitization, conjunctivitis and skin problems. Literature study was carried out in this study using the PRISMA method on 9 relevant articles. In Ethiopia, bakery workers had higher health complaints compared to the control group. Milling mill workers had chronic symptoms such as 58.3%. In Italy, exposure to breadcrumb dust exceeds the threshold value and results in nasal inflammation and allergies. In Thailand there is evidence to support that flour dust can cause asthma. In France, flour dust may cause head and neck squamous cell cancer. In Egypt, exposure to flour dust increases the risk of workers' respiratory symptoms and disorders. The studies that have been carried out confirm that flour dust and its microbes can cause health problems for workers in the flour industry. Control of health impacts can be carried out by implementing controls starting from elimination/substitution, engineering, administration and use of personal protective equipment, especially those that protect respiratory function. Abstract

Introduction: Bullying does not only occur in the school environment. It can also happen at the workplace. There have been several definitions on bullying in the psychological literature but, in general, bullying is described as aggressive behavior by a person or group of people who feel more powerful, with the aim of hurting, humiliating, or isolating victims who feel helpless (Salmivalli, March–April 2010) (Gredler, 2003) Bullying can affect employee's satisfaction with life, which negatively relates to job satisfaction and mental health status of workers (Gabriele , et al., 2015). Work-related losses due to work accidents caused by fatigue triggered by workplace bullying will also increase if the psychosocial hazards caused by bullying are not managed properly and correctly (Young-Ran & Jeong-Won , 2016) (Rohit, et al., 2009) (Ma, et al., 2010). Research related to workplace bullying is still difficult to find in Indonesia, even the existing reports on this topic are barely enough to explain how this phenomenon is handled this country. Bullying has been widely researched, but the majority of the studies are performed in school settings or adolescent settings. There has not been any in-depth research on bullying that has been conducted comprehensively in work settings (Silviandari & Helmi, 2018). This study aims to determine and examine the incidence of workplace bullying in the energy sector or the power generation industry by involving seven power plants throughout Indonesia. Method: This was a cross-sectional study involving 219 workers in the power plant industry who were above 17 years of age and with a work experience of at least 6 months. These workers participated in this study by filling out the Negative Acts Questionnaire-Revised (NAQ-R). Results: The results of the analysis showed that there was no comparison of bullying incidents among the seven power plants (F = 0.71, p = 0.135) and that the bullying level in these 7 power plants was low (mean= 26.7), with the highest mean was found in Southeast Sulawesi (mean=27.9). Conclusion: This shows that the incidence of bullying in the seven power plants is in the low category, with the highest tendency of bullying seen in the power plant in Southeast Sulawesi.

Abstract

AbstractWorkers who are working in the health care sector have to deal with a work condition that is high-risk for bullying from various parties that come from, among others, the expectation of excellent performance. This study aimed to assess the association between Workplace Bullying, Psychological Distress, and Satisfaction with Life among workers in health care sector.  This is a cross-sectional study on 310 respondents consisting of workers who work on various health care services. Data were collected using a randomly distributed questionnaire and processed using a frequency distribution table. The association between variables were then analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results of this study showed associations between Workplace Bullying, Psychological Distress, and Satisfaction with Life. The majority of workers in the health care sector did not experience bullying and stress. For the satisfaction with life in this sector, the study showed a high satisfaction level. This study concludes that there is an association between bullying and stress level among workers in health care sector. A higher bullying and stress level will trigger dissatisfaction with life. Despite the low bullying incidence in this sector, management still has to be aware and perform prompt actions to identify and prevent negative actions. This is important to prevent bullying by implementing an appropriate anti-bullying program in the workplace, that the stress level will not increase and the satisfaction of the workers is maintained. Keywords: bullying, health care sector, level of distress, and satisfaction with life AbstrakPekerja sektor Pelayanan Kesehatan  merupakan pekerja yang harus menghadapi situasi kerja yang sangat berisiko terjadinya kejadian bullying dari berbagai pihak dan menuntut perfoma yang tinggi. Abstract

One challenge in managing fire hazards in an urban setting is how to optimize the fire service route, increase the response time, and increase service coverage. Recently, this challenge is becoming imminent due to road traffic congestion and insufficient road widths that are common in populated cities in the Southeast Asia regions. One of the urban fire hotspots in populated Jakarta City is Pekojan Urban Village, Tambora Subdistrict. This subdistrict is served by Angke Fire Station located in Pekojan’s southwestern parts. Then this research aims to evaluate and compare optimized routes for fire vehicle dispatched from Angke Fire Station to serve 12 neighborhood units (in Bahasa is RW) in Pekojan. The method used the route optimization and network analysis tools in Geographic Information System (GIS) and its related geospatial data including neighborhood units, road networks, traffic congestion, and fire station locations. Geospatial network analysis of data by GIS has an advantage as a method to design and analyze the routing strategy and determine the most optimized route for fire vehicles. Based on the results and with the fire vehicle speed of 40 km/h, the average optimized route distances to travel from the fire station to RWs were 1.092 km (95%CI: 0.888-1.3 km) with an average response time of 1.638 minutes (95%CI: 0.869-2.41 min.). According to the GIS, model, response time of 1 minute only covers 22.77% of Pekojan areas. By increasing response time to 2 minutes, then fire vehicle can cover 98.9% of Pekojan area (AIC= 0.06). Despite the fact that the fire vehicle routes and response times can be optimized, those routes are challenged by the road traffic congestion. This congestion limits the speeds of fire vehicles to less than 20 km/h, as observed in 11.59% of the optimized routes. The service coverages of fire vehicles was also limited due to the narrow street.

NDVI, suitability, and carrying capacity of Dieng Plateau Forests to sustain Dieng Kulon Village tourism. Biodiversitas 24: 282-289. Village tourism is a form of tourism that can support the conservation of an ecosystem. On the Dieng Plateau, Dieng Kulon is one of the tourism villages located in Banjarnegara district, Central Java, Indonesia. Despite the rapid growth of tourism in Dieng and its potential environmental consequences, information on tourism carrying capacity in Dieng is still limited. Here, this study aims to measure the suitability and carrying capacity of Dieng Kulon Village. The suitability for tourism is measured based on the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). Equation was used to calculate the carrying capacity. According to the findings, forest areas with a size of 23.9% and high NDVI values ranging from 0.87 to 0.91 were deemed very suitable for birdwatching and hiking activities. Agricultural land made up nearly half of the village (57.1%) with high NDVI values (ranging from 0.36-0.86) was deemed ideal for sightseeing activities. In comparison to other types of land, agricultural land had the highest carrying capacity, followed by forest land. Agricultural land can support 84.8-155.2 people per day for sightseeing activities. Forest areas are suitable for hiking and birdwatching activities. At least 51.6 to 334.9 people per day are allowed for hiking activities. Birdwatching in the forest is limited to 3.1-19.9 people per day. To conclude, carrying capacity information is very important for managing village tourism in a sustainable manner.

Abstract. Lestari F, Tua IN, Muzanni A, Nugroho DF, Wibowo AA, Wartono T, Widanarko B, Saepullah A, Modjo R, Farida M, Erwandi D, Aryani DD, Kadir A, Widiatmoko AI, Hendra, Herwanto ZJ, Tejamaya M, Hamid RA, Fatmah, Gunawan EL, Setyowati DL, Hafids MF, Yuliani R. 2023. Carbon sink and greenhouse gas emission of dryland vegetation cover in tourism villages in Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 24: 1998-2005. Due to its natural features and scenery, the dryland ecosystem has recently become a tourist destination. One of the growing dryland ecosystems for village tourism is Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Those tourism villages have the potential to promote carbon sequestration through the preservation of natural resources and, at the same time, can release Green-House Gases (GHG). Despite growing research on carbon stock, there is little information on the carbon budget of a dryland tourism village, which includes the values of carbon stock sequestered from the atmosphere and greenhouse gas emissions. This research aimed to measure the carbon stock and GHG emissions in three villages containing paddy fields, savanna, and forest covers. The measured gases, including CO2, CH4, and N2O, were collected using the gas chamber method and analyzed using gas chromatography. The result shows that forest land covers have the highest carbon stock, with average values of 97.44 Mg ha-1 within the 57.34-117.5 Mg ha-1. A low average carbon stock of 17.39 Mg ha-1 was observed in paddy fields. The GHG was in the order of CO2 > CH4 > N2O. The paddy field has higher GHG than other land covers, with average CO2, CH4, and N2O values of 292.45 ppm, 1.35 ppm, and 1.09 ppm. While CO2, CH4, and N2O values for the forest were 281.05 ppm, 1.30 ppm, 1.05 ppm, 272.83 ppm, 1.26 ppm, and 1.02 ppm for savanna covers.
