Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to analyze students ability to solve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problems in physics, especially in simple harmonic motion in SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. The methods used in this research was descriptive method with qualitative approach. The subjects in this research is 60 students of class XI MIPA. The data-collecting instruments in this research was ten essay problems, consists of  analyze, evaluate, and create step of thinking. According to the data result of this research, it is concluded that the students ability to analyze problems 43,13%, while the average of stdents evaluate ability are 41% and students create ability are 12.67%. The result of mann-whitney were asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) score of 0,075 (>0,05), so H0 are accepted and H1 are denied. It means that there aren't significant difference between the average of the result of students problem solving abilities of male and female students. Those results show that students abilities of solving high order thinking problems still categorised as low. Therefore, the remediation of  learning activities in class still needed in order to increase students high order thinking skill in SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. Keyword: Analysis, Higher Order Thinking Skills, Simple harmonic motion

Abstract

AbstractIn this study, the effect of conceptual change text (CCT) with PhET simulation to remediate students? misconceptions of fluid dynamic at SMA was investigated. Quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design was used which involved 62 eleventh grade students. This study was made of into two groups. Experimental group (N=29) were given CCT with PhET simulation, whereas the control group (N=33) were given re-test. Nine open-ended multiple-choice questions concerning fluid dynamic were used as data collection tool. The results showed experimental group?s average of decreasing students? misconceptions (59,58%) were higher than control group (15,57%), and caused differences between both of groups that were proved by two-sample proportions test, Zscore (2,08) > Ztable (1,96). In the other hand, decreasing quantity of that misconception (DQM) value showed CCT with PhET simulation more effective than re-test to remediate students? misconceptions about fluid dynamic. It determined that CCT with PhET simulation could be alternative to remediate students? misconceptions. Keyword: Remediate, Misconception, CCT, PhET Simulation, Fluid Dynamic

Abstract

The aim of this research is to characterize impedance, capasitance and relative permitivity of the characteristics of electric thin film ZnS and ZnS:Mn. This research was started from making thin film with different deposition speed and with thermal co-evaporation method in vakum tubes.  The estimation is the characteristics of thin film ZnS impedance and ZnS:Mn was done outside this vacum with various frequency between thousaund to million hertzs, with different deposition speed and the same thickness. Defining impedance of ZnS thin film wich the most optimal frequency would influence capasitance and relative permittivity of the thin film on the characteristics of the electricity. Besides, capasitance and resitance values of ZnS:Mn thin film would change if given different Mn portion on that thin film. From the result of the research, it could be identified as follows. On the area of the thousand to ten thousand Hertz, it was know is that relative permitivity/constante static dielectrics K(0) ZnS:Mn thin film was not the frequency function that it could be regarded as constant like K(o) = 10. The price of capasitance ZnS:Mn was increasing with less Mn amount in that thin film. The price of ZnS:Mn electric resitance is reduced with less Mn amount on  that thin film. Key words: Impedance, thin film ZnS:Mn, co-evaporation.
