Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang konsep manajemen pengetahuan yang diimplementasikan pada kepemimpinan di lembaga publik yang bergerak di bidang informasi dan pelayanan masyarakat. Konsep interaksi antara manajemen pengetahuan dalam penentuan gaya dan tipe kepemimpinan dalam sebuah lembaga organisasi menjadi fokus utama dalam tulisan ini. Fakta-fakta sosial dalam proses penunjukan kepemimpinan pada lembaga organisasi juga dibahas didalamnya. Tulisan ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk memaparkan konsep-konsep manajemen pengetahuan, kepemimpinan, dan hubungan antar keduanya, serta refleksinya dalam organisasi publik di bidang informasi dan teknologi yang ada. Permasalahan kepemimpinan dalam setiap lembaga telah berulang kali menjadi sorotan publik terlebih bagi lembaga yang kesehariannya memberikan layanan pada masyarakat saat ini, dampaknya telah dirasakan betul oleh masyarakat luas terutama anggota organisasi yang terlibat langsung didalmnya.

Abstract

Evaluasi keterpakaian koleksi merupakan kegiatan menilai penggunaan koleksi yang terdapat pada perpustakaan serta telah dikembangkan sesuai dengan tujuan dan standar yang berlaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat keterpakaian koleksi Perpustakaan Universitas Widyagama Malang menggunakan analisis sitiran pada Skripsi Jurusan Agribisnis Universitas Widyagama Malang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis sitiran. Populasi penelitian ini adalah skripsi Jurusan Agribisnis tahun 2017-2021 dengan jumlah 28 skripsi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini dengan cara menganalisis jenis dokumen yang sering disitir, peringkat judul dan pengarang yang sering disitir, paro hidup dan keusangan buku yang disitir, bahasa buku sitiran, dan evaluasi ketersediaan buku sitiran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, mahasiswa Jurusan Agribisnis Tahun 2017-2021 cenderung menggunakan referensi yang berasal dari buku. Buku yang paling banyak disitir adalah buku pengantar dan metode penelitian. Buku yang disitir mahasiswa sebanyak 51% atau setelah telah dianggap usang. Bahasa pengantar buku yang disitir dominan berbahasa Indonesia. Tingkat keterpakaian koleksi yang tersedia di Perpustakaan Universitas Widyagama Malang pun masih tergolong rendah, hanya sebesar 18% buku yang disitir tersedia di perpustakaan. Kata Kunci: analisis sitiran; keterpakaian koleksi perpustakaan; skripsi mahasiswa

Abstract

Background of the study: Information management in an organization or institution, especially for institutions related to public information needs, has an important role. Purpose: This study provides an overview and view of how the information management process is carried out in several public institutions, how it is currently developing, and what factors affect the implementation of information management in each public institution. Method: The method used in compiling this paper is a qualitative descriptive research. Using an interview and literature study with several literatures related to the information management framework implemented in several countries and institutions that the author has carried out himself. Findings: The results of this study provide an understanding of the situation and conditions in each institution in managing its information, so that it can be a view for other institutions in designing and managing information in their own environment. Abstract

Introduction. This study aims to explore the role of higher education policy in planning information governance at the Islamic university, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. Data Collection Methods. The datacollection technique involved was depth interviews with LPM expert staff, the head of the general division of the faculty, public relations, and an archivist. In addition, to conduct the interviews, reference materials were collected to compile previous studies. Data Analysis. The data analysis technique encompassed data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Results and Discussion. There is an important role of higher education policy in the process of information management at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. This formulation refers to principles of information governance, which include definition of each party's role, the development of policies and implementation strategies in the governance process, monitoring and auditing of processes and stages of the governance process, information organization processes, and classification. Information, stakeholder participation, and the long-term viability of information governance processes are all important considerations. Conclusion. Information governance should conducted by the policies established by the relevant educational institution. If the information creation, processing, and governance divisions work properly, locating and acquiring information for institutional reasons should be a breeze.

Abstract

Background of the study: The existence of information management unit is important for the continuity of information life cycle. However, in reality, not all institutions have this unit. This research was conducted to provide an overview of information management at universities that do not yet have a special information management unit. Purpose: This research aims to provide a design information management that can be applied, especially at the UIN Malang or other public universities; especially those that have similar conditions with this university. Method: This study utilized a qualitative method and a case study approach. Through in-depth interviews with parties who understand the flow of the university's work. In addition, observations were conducted at other institutions with comparable structures to develop a workable information management design for this institution. Findings: An information management design at Universitas Islam Negeri Malang can be implemented with policies and division of work in certain units owned by this university. Conclusion: A workflow, especially for information management, must be implemented with commitment from all units involved, so that the absence of a related unit does not become a barrier to information management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pengguna di Perpustakaan Pusat Institut Teknologi Nasional (ITN) Malang berdasakan dimensi LibQUAL+TM yang terdiri dari Affect of Service, Library as Place, dan Information Access. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 97 responden yaitu pengguna yang mengunjungi atau berkunjung ke Perpustakaan Pusat Institut Teknologi Nasional (ITN) Malang pada bulan September 2022 hingga Februari 2023. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi kepustakaan dan kuesioner. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistik versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada dimensi affect of service pengguna merasa cukup puas dengan nilai adequancy gap 0,02, dan kualitas layanan dimensi affect of service dinilai baik dengan nilai superiorty gap -0,03. Pada dimensi library as place pengguna merasa cukup puas dengan nilai adequancy gap 0,14, dan kualitas layanan dimensi library as place dinilai baik dengan nilai superiorty gap -0,04. Pada dimensi information access pengguna merasa belum puas dengan nilai adequancy gap -0,12, dan kualitas layanan dimensi information access dinilai baik dengan nilai superiorty gap -0,27. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kualitas layanan pengguna Perpustakaan Pusat Institut Teknologi Nasional (ITN) Malang pada setiap dimensi dinilai baik atau masuk ke dalan zona toleransi, namun belum memenuhi harapan ideal yang diinginkan oleh pengguna.

Abstract

Tradisi intelektual para ulama telah menghasilkan beragam kajian dalam bidang keislaman. Kajian karya ulama ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif sehingga dapat menggali fenomena lebih luas dan mendalam sesuai dengan kondisi lapangan ketika melakukan observasi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara pada informan terkait.  Observasi akan dilakukan selama 6 (enam) bulan dengan menelusuri keberadaan karya tulis ulama yang ada di pondok-pondok pesantren baik di Kabupaten maupun Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninventarisasi karya hasil pemikiran para ulama di wiayah Malang. Penelitian ini berhasil menginventarisasi 34 karya ulama dengan beragam bidang kajian atau subjek keilmuan meliputi hadis, sekte dan aliran agama Islam, fikih, doa dan wirid, tasawuf, aqidah, akhlaq, tata bahasa, dan tauhid. Pondok pesantren yang ada di seluruh wilayah Malang merupakan target utama lokasi yang dikunjungi. Peninggalan karya para ulama tentunya menjadi warisan ilmu pengetahuan, sejarah dan budaya yang perlu dilestarikan agar nilai informasi yang telah dihasilkan tidak lekang oleh waktu.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of school library staff in Ngajum District, Malang Regency. The approach employed Participatory Action Research (PAR) through a workshop model consisting of interactive lectures, group discussions, hands-on practice, and follow-up monitoring. The workshop covered three main aspects: institutional and infrastructural foundations, library services and human resources, and collection management with the use of information technology through the Integrated Library System (SLiMS). A total of 32 participants, mostly teachers assigned as part-time library managers, joined the program. Evaluation results indicated a high level of participant satisfaction, with a grand mean score above 3.5, where the staff service indicator achieved the highest rating. The program proved effective in strengthening participants’ understanding, practical skills in library management, and readiness to utilize technology to support the school library’s role as a modern and sustainable learning resource center.

Abstract

Macro appraisal is one approach in determining the value of archives, which is closely related to the use value and future depreciation of archives. This research was conducted to identify archives using a macro assessment based on analysis of the implementation of organizational functions to identify then the values to produce a list of vital records within the PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operation Area 7 Madiun. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews in the archives section and units at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operation Area 7 Madiun. Apart from that, searching documents related to the implementation of main tasks and functions of each archive creation unit is also part of this research method. Data analysis was carried out using the macro archive assessment method, namely analyzing the main tasks and functions of each archive creator's unit and continuing with legal and risk analysis. The results show that from 18 archive creation units produced a total of 195 records, with 112 of them based on the analysis results identified as vital records. These results can be input for relevant agencies to carry out special maintenance and treatment, especially as vital records.

Abstract

The UNMER Malang Digital Library application was released in December 2023 through a cooperation agreement with PT. Woolu Aksara Maya. A socialization event related to the use of the application was held once during the release of the application, which was only attended by representatives of several students from Universitas Merdeka Malang, so that information related to the use of the application was not received equally by all students. This resulted in a low number of app downloads, users, and accesses. Additionally, students faced challenges in determining keywords to search for e-books. This study aims to measure the level of digital literacy among students at Universitas Merdeka Malang in using the UNMER Malang Digital Library app. The population for this study consisted of 491 users of the UNMER Malang Digital Library application. A sample was then selected using non-probability sampling with the Slovin formula, resulting in 83 respondents. The method used was descriptive quantitative, meaning that the percentage of each research indicator was calculated and then analyzeddescriptively. The results of this study indicate that the level of digital literacy among students at Universitas Merdeka Malang in using the UNMER Malang Digital Library application falls within the high category, with a grand mean score of 3.64 when measured across the 10 indicators used. These indicators include accessing, understanding, analyzing, verifying, evaluating, distributing, producing, participating, and collaborating. This means that, fundamentally, students at Universitas Merdeka Malang already possess good accessing skills for the application. They are also able to filter the information they need, ensure the accuracy of the information obtained, and organize it into another form accurately, clearly, and easily understood. The ability to collaborate with others in sharing information is also possessed by students at Universitas Merdeka Malang.
