Abstract

Increasing competition among competitors demands the automotive component painting industry to improve product quality, visual impairment dominates painting process product. High defects lead to quality degradation, set KPI targets have not been achieved, 1-year average defects are 5.4% from 4.2% targets. To improve the quality and to analyze product non-compliance, DMAIC and FMEA approaches are used. The use of Six Sigma can analyze defects in production. A number of improvements have been made to ensure that the objectives are met, from the analysis it was found that the highest percentage of defects in Line 1 was 6.86% and type of spot/dirty was 36.3%, DPMO value 7619 and sigma value 3.9. The analysis with FMEA based on the highest 8 RPN values is the priority of improvement, the main factor influencing spot /dirty from the machine. Regular maintenance and cleaning need to be emphasized, easily contaminated chemicals require special handling, alterations of hanger design by adding dishes should be done to prevent dirt from falling into product.

Abstract

The automotive industry is a mainstay because it has a contribution to the national economy. To maintain existence and survive in the midst of intense competition, every industry must be able to continuously improve the quality and performance company in general. Plastic injection manufacturing companies for automotive components are experiencing a decline in machine performance. Machine performance is related to losses that occur in the company. To find out the cause of a decline in machine performance, research is carried out by identifying processes, outputs, losses that occur and taking other actions if needed. Results of OEE calculation analysis, machine 7 has the lowest performance of a total of 8 machines. Low OEE value is influenced by availability, performance, and quality, of three components, the lowest average availability value is only 90%, machine 7 OEE is 81%. Factors affecting OEE are low because the value of availability is low. After analyzing with fishbone diagram, the cause of low availability is due to machine and method factors. Improvement to machine 7 using the SMED method showed a decrease in setup time by 36%, while improvements were made by changing setup flow, replacing machine components, and purging process. Impact of improvements increased availability by 96%, performance, and quality by 99%, while machine efficiency/OEE increased by 93,98%.

Abstract

The layout of factory facilities is one of the things that must be evaluated along with technological developments, increasing demand and the need for production which is increasing so that performance efficiency can be achieved. PT XYZ is a company engaged in the field of packaging with requests for tens of tons per day, this results in the need for a large factory area and the arrangement of facilities must be adjusted to the sequence of operations from raw materials to finished goods so that it will speed up the work process and be more efficient in movement of goods. On the other hand, the problem that arises is that all material handling work and WIP material handling (work in process) are carried out by several workers, so it is necessary to study the effectiveness and speed of the material handling process carried out in the production process at the company. For this reason, it is necessary to evaluate the layout of the facility to minimize material handling costs. The method used in research to fix this layout problem is the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method. Improving the layout of this company can also increase the efficiency and productivity of workers so that the time needed to carry out production is shorter.

Abstract

A manufacturing company is a company that carries out a production process to produce a product. The company was founded with the purpose of making a profit or profit, to achieve profit, need to take steps to maximize equipment/machinery so that efficiency increases, quality improvement so that it has a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Product quality and engine efficiency/OEE have a relationship, if product quality is low, it results in low OEE. To determine the performance of a machine in an injection company, it is necessary to measure the OEE value. The results of the analysis show that OEE has not yet reached the target. The most influential factors are the low availability value due to dandori process, material change, mould repair, and damage to the robot that requires long repair time. Improvements were made not only on availability, but to maintain and improve, improvements were made to the OEE component, namely the performance and Quality ratio. The improvement results show a reduction in availability time, a decrease in silver defects in the quality ratio and an increase in performance with improved cycle time. Abstract

PT. Show laser adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang jasa Laser Marking, Spray Coating, Pad Printing. Berdasarkan rumusan masalah diatas, maka tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa cacat painting yang dialami PT. Show laser dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu merupakan penelitian yang mendeskripsikan karakteristik masalah kualitas yang berkaitan dengan karakteristik dari obyek yang diteliti. Masalah yang sering terjadi saat proses painting part pada Lini Spray, muncul beberapa jenis defect yang cukup tinggi pada produk Lower Case. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas, peneliti menggunakan metode six sigma yang terdiri dari lima tahapan DMAIC. Persentase jenis cacat Over Painting sebesar 44% . DPMO selama Tahun 2021 adalah 22867. Sigma rata-rata 3,00, nilai sigma tersebut mencapai level rata-rata industri manufaktur di Indonesia. Hasil FMEA (Failure mode effect analysis) tempat dudukan/ jig part tidak presisi sehingga mudah bergoyang saat proses pengecatan RPN 294.

Abstract

Bawang goreng merupakan produk olahan bawang merah yang digoreng hingga renyah dan digunakan sebagai pelengkap atau topping makanan. Produk ini memiliki nilai jual tinggi dan menjadi salah satu andalan UMKM karena bahan bakunya melimpah di pasar lokal, mendukung sektor pertanian, serta memberikan kontribusi signifikan pada pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah. Permintaan bawang goreng stabil karena produk ini meningkatkan cita rasa dan cocok untuk berbagai jenis makanan. UMKM dapat memulai usaha bawang goreng dengan modal kecil dan mengembangkan inovasi melalui variasi rasa, kemasan menarik, hingga produk organik untuk meningkatkan daya tarik konsumen, termasuk potensi ekspor. Namun, UMKM bawang goreng menghadapi tantangan dalam kualitas bahan baku yang dipengaruhi musim, teknik produksi, hingga pengemasan. Masalah seperti bawang goreng berminyak, mudah tengik, atau kualitas yang tidak konsisten dapat mengurangi daya saing produk. Pengembangan produk berbasis kebutuhan konsumen (customer needs) menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan daya tarik. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, UMKM diberi arahan untuk memahami suara konsumen (voice of customer) dengan observasi, wawancara, dan umpan balik. Pendekatan Quality Function Deployment (QFD) digunakan untuk memastikan produk memenuhi kebutuhan pasar. Pengarahan ini membantu UMKM menciptakan produk berkualitas, diminati konsumen, dan berdaya saing tinggi di pasar.
