Abstract

Research was conducted on the detection of batik wastewater in the batik industry of Pekalongan, which generates liquid waste containing synthetic dyes, heavy metals, and hazardous compounds that can potentially pollute the environment if not properly treated. This study aims to develop a simple detection method based on digital image analysis to identify the color characteristics of batik wastewater. Data were obtained by sampling liquid waste from several affected rivers, which were then analyzed using a digital camera and image processing software to determine the intensity values of the red, green, and blue (RGB) channels. The results show that variations in waste concentration significantly influence the distribution of RGB values, enabling faster, cheaper, and more practical identification of pollution patterns compared to conventional laboratory methods. These findings are expected to serve as the foundation for developing a digital technology-based batik wastewater quality monitoring system as part of efforts to mitigate environmental pollution in Pekalongan.   Keywords - Batik wastewater, Digital image analysis, RGB intensity, Environmental pollution, Image processing

Abstract

The development of E-Commerce in this digital era is increasingly rapid, thus affecting the use of goods delivery services. The problem that often occurs in the delivery process is that the recipient of the goods is traveling. This automatic Smart box system is designed to receive packages automatically remotely using the internet of things via the Telegram application. The system uses an ultrasonic sensor to send notifications to the Telegram bot if a package arrives by reading a distance value between 10 cm. This system also utilizes a servo motor as an actuator that can be controlled to open and close the package box. Meanwhile, to find out if the package has been placed in the package box, a load cell sensor is used to send the package weight value. This system uses an ESP32 microcontroller as the system control center and WiFi network. The system is also equipped with ESP32-CAM which is used as a security tool when goods arrive. The test results show that the tool can work well and all components can run according to their function, and connect to the Telegram bot. However, problems that are sometimes encountered are problems that may occur in the system, namely internet network problems that affect sending messages to the Telegram bot.

Abstract

The micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) industry plays a crucial role in supporting the Indonesian economy, yet faces challenges in production efficiency and cost management. This study presents the design and development of an IoT-based automated screen-printing system that integrates edge-based image classification using a CNN model with microcontroller-driven print actuation, specifically tailored for MSME-scale garment production. The system employs an ESP32/Raspberry Pi as the edge device, enabling local inference without cloud dependency, and utilizes MQTT protocol for IoT connectivity. Quantitative evaluation across 50 test cycles demonstrated a 96% printer success rate, a 60% reduction in production time from 45 to 18 minutes per 10 shirts, a 90% reduction in labor from 10 operators to 1, and an approximately 50% reduction in per-unit production cost from Rp65,000–80,000 to Rp30,000–40,000 per shirt. IoT connectivity testing over 48 continuous hours recorded an average MQTT latency of 120 ms and a system uptime of 98.5%, confirming the reliability of the communication layer for sustained production operations. Grounded in Industry 5.0 principles, this research advances human-machine collaboration in small-scale manufacturing contexts. The proposed system offers a cost-effective, remotely controlled, and semi-autonomous production solution, representing a novel contribution to the field of IoT-based garment manufacturing in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

The industrial sector is an essential component of the economic structure. A large number of current enterprises degrade air quality in the environment as a result of chemical exposure. As a result, an air quality detection system was designed with the purpose of monitoring air pollutant levels, temperature, and humidity. The system is immediately integrated with smartphones via the Internet of Things. Carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) levels are measured using a MQ-135 sensor. Temperature and humidity are measured using DHT-11 sensors. The complete system is controlled by a NodeMCU ESP8266 connected to an Arduino. Data was collected from two industries using an IoT-based system for a continuous 24-hour cycle over seven days to capture real-time daily fluctuation trends. The continuous 7-day monitoring reveals a clear daily fluctuation trend synchronized with factory shifts, peaking between 12:00 and 14:00 WIB. Dutatex exhibits a higher pollutant load (peak CO2: 820–850 ppm; CO: 8–9 ppm) than Bimatex (peak CO2: 620–650 ppm; CO: 5–6 ppm), while both facilities successfully maintain peak temperatures below 33.0°C. These empirical results demonstrate that continuous 24-hour data acquisition provides a highly accurate and comprehensive assessment for monitoring industrial air quality and occupational health.   Keywords - Air Quality, NodeMCU ESP8266, IoT, MQ-135, Arduino.

Abstract

Gravity measurements in the Dieng geothermal area at regional and wide scales are still limited. GGMplus data provides large-scale gravity information that can be used for subsurface mapping more efficiently and at lower cost while maintaining optimal results. The GGMplus gravity acceleration data is processed into complete Bouguer anomalies, then separated using upward continuation to obtain regional and local anomalies. Both anomalies are further analyzed using the first horizontal derivative (FHD) and second horizontal derivative (SHD). The results are then used for 3D modeling using Grablox and Bloxer software. The Bouguer anomaly distribution ranges from approximately ‒70 to ‒230 mGal, with high anomalies located in the northeast of the study area, corresponding to geothermal manifestations in Dieng. FHD analysis indicates a regional anomaly source located 6.8 km northeast, interpreted as a magmatic zone. Local anomalies reveal an intrusion body about 2 km in size at a distance of 4 km in Mount Prau, interpreted as a heat source. The 3D model shows high-density values of 2.87 g/cm³ for regional anomalies and 2.8–2.9 g/cm³ for local anomalies, associated with ancient volcanic rocks and diorite intrusions acting as a heat source in the Sikidang–Merdada geothermal system.
