Abstract

Abstrak Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya tambahan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam bidang sastra di sekolah. Pembelajaran sastra,seperti menulis karya sastra memerlukan latihan agar siswa terbiasa menulis. Dalam hal ini dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa pembinaan menulis karya sastra (puisi) secara daring. Kegiatan pengabdian secara daring dipilih karena situasi pandemi yang tidak memungkinkan untuk tatap muka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMK Kartini Batam dilaksanakan pelatihan menulis karya sastra (puisi). Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan terbimbing sebanyak 4 tahap. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil tes menulis puisi siswa SMK Kartini Batam. Berdasarkan hasil tes menulis puisi, kemampuan menulis puisi siswa SMK Kartini Batam sebelum pelatihan berada pada kualifikasi cukup (C) dengan rata-rata 63,81. Selanjutnya, kemampuan menulis puisi siswa SMK Kartini Batam setelah pelatihan berada pada kualifikasi baik (B) dengan rata-rata kemampuan 78,63. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa dengan adanya pelatihan.

Abstract

Dharmasraya Regency is known for its multicultural society. The presence of transmigration communities to the area has made Dharmasraya a region with a very rich cultural diversity. There are two large groups that live side by side while maintaining their respective cultures, namely the Minangkabau people as natives and the Javanese as immigrants. The diversity of cultures that exist in Dharmasraya also affects the folklore that develops in the area, one of which is people's belief. This study uses a qualitative approach. so the purpose of this study specifically wants to show the trust of the transmigration community in Dharmasraya which is a multicultural society in relation to the social identity of the community towards a new identity. The results showed that in the folklore of the transmigration community there was a shift from the area of origin. If in the area of origin, folklore is magical and mystical, when mixed with a new society, folklore also changes its function into a new identity for the transmigration community which is the result of mixing indigenous peoples and transmigration communities.

Abstract

Abstract: The Community System in Rini Intama's Kanaya Poetry Collection. This study aims to describe the form of local wisdom (elements of the social system) in the collection of Kanaya poems by Rini Intama. This type of research is qualitative research.  The method used in this study is the conten analysis method (content analysis). The data in this study is in the form of words, sentences, and discourses related to local wisdom forms in the collection of Kanaya poems by Rini Intama. The source of data in this study is a collection of Kanaya poems by Rini Intama. The results showed that there is a cultural element of the social system contained in the form of rituals, a royal system that tells that there is a form of government. In Kanaya's collection of poems, the poet also explains how a woman's struggle in maintaining and caring for a tradition through puppetry and customs that have existed from the beginning of the formation of the Sundanese land.   As well as reiterating to the community in order to preserve the conceptions of ancestral culture through arrays and stanzas in each poem.

Abstract

One viral topic among Indonesian social media users in 2021 is the controversy regarding the removal of a mural in the public sphere by Authorities in many Provinces. This mural phenomenon is inversely proportional to the current condition where information and communication technology has developed rapidly as to why traditional methods of criticism such as murals reappear in today's modern era. In contrast, modern society prefers to use digital tools such as smart gadgets. This article explains the logical correlation of mural re-existence as a critical medium in the digital era. This research was designed as a descriptive qualitative study, and this research data was taken from pictures of viral deleted murals on social media. The analysis reveals that the re-existence of the mural as a critical medium in public spaces is due to the many cases of police reports related to the UU ITE. Besides, murals are more persuasive and direct, as means murals cause certain effects for the observer.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the novel of many social conflicts that occur in the community contained in the Blue Labyrinth, Langit Merah Saga is one of the novels that describe. This study aims to describe the social conflict in the novel Labirin Lazuardi Langit Merah Saga by Gola Gong. This type of research is qualitative research because the research data is in the form of text or words using descriptive analysis methods. The data of this research are in the form of words, sentence quotes and discourses about social conflict contained in the novel Labirin Lazuardi Langit Merah. Data was collected through the following steps: reading, marking and recording data, taking an inventory of all data related to social conflict. After that the data were analyzed and concluded the research results. The results of this study indicate that the social conflicts found are, First, personal conflicts or conflicts that occur between two individuals, such as conflicts between Blue and Cak Leman, Blue with Buto, Blue with Leo, Paijo with Butu, and Leo with Latief. Second, between the social classes, namely the conflict between the ruling class and the small people, the government class or state apparatus and the small people, the difference between the rich and the poor. Third, political conflict shows the interests of the apparatus in displacing the small people, the interests of the rulers and the interests of the government that do not side with the small people.

Abstract

Minangkabau traditional poems contain various traditional topics that are important to explore further. This study aims to describe the knowledge system in Minangkabau Traditional Poetry with the Semiotics Riffaterre approach. This type of research is qualitative descriptive, with the subject of the research being Minangkabau traditional poetry. The object of research in this study is that there are material objects and formal objects. The material object is the Minangkabau traditional poem, and the formal object is the significance of cultural values according to the Semiotic view of Riffaterre. The data collection techniques used are listening, reading, and recording techniques. The data analysis technique uses Michael Riffaterre's Semiotic theory. The results of the study show that 28 Minangkabau traditional poems contain a knowledge system as part of the cultural aspects of the Minangkabau people. The knowledge system presented in Minangkabau traditional poems is generally knowledge of Minangkabau customs, namely about ninik mamak, division of territory, to the concept of customs used in daily life. This research has implications for efforts to preserve Minangkabau cultural heritage and can be used for the development of learning materials about the Minangkabau knowledge system and customs in educational institutions.
