Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan di MTs Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi terdapat sebuah permasalahan yaitu kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dikarenakan guru belum menerapkan model pembelajaran yang inovasi, dan guru belum pernah menggunakan model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif desain penelitian quasi experimental design dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Objek penelitian MTs Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi, populasi siswa kelas VIII dengan 32 siswa. Diperoleh data menggunakan soal tes, hasil analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, dimana diperoleh sig.(2-tailed) 0,0340,05 maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Maka, sebaiknya dalam proses pembelajaran pendidik menyampaikan materi pelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran jurisprudential inquiry, dilakukan agar kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran mengalami perubahan yang positif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Kahoot-based educational game learning media on students' critical thinking skills in Civics Subjects in Class X Hospitality SMK Negeri 6 Jambi City. This research is motivated by educational problems, especially in technology and one of the low critical thinking skills of students with a proportion of 33%. The research method used the Pre-Experimental design with the One Group Pretest Posttest design. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 6 Jambi City for the 2022/2023 academic year. The population in this study were all class X students of the Department of Hospitality SMK Negeri 6 Jambi City. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. Retrieval of research data using a test. The data in this study were obtained from the pretest and posttest of the experimental class. The data was tested by t test using SPSS 22 Software. The results showed that there was an effect of the use of Kahoot-Based Game Learning Media on students' critical thinking skills in Civics Subjects in Class X Hospitality SMK Negeri 6 Jambi City. Judging from the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the average posttest score was 69.6% while the average pretest score was 36%. After testing the hypothesis using the Sample t Test, the characteristics are -10.213> 2.045, so there is an increase in the average pretest and posttest scores. As well as on the test, the sign value (2-tailed) on critical thinking skills is 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of using Kahoot-based educational game learning media on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine customary law (nikah sumbang) in a moral perspective in Kerinci Regency. In 2019-2022, there were 21 perpetrators of violations of customary law of discordant marriage committed by the community. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques in this study are through observation, interviews, and documentation. With data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of this discordant marriage was no different from marriage in general, it's just that for this discordant marriage there was an admonition made by the upstream of the balang sent by Ninik Mamak to the person who performed the discordant marriage. Then there are sanctions from customary law applied to people who perform discordant marriages. The fine is also intended so that people who have performed discordant marriages do not become a byword for the community. The customary law of discordant marriage in a moral perspective can be said not to affect morals, one of the intentions and objectives of discordant marriage is to strengthen the tribe or strengthen the family that has long been far away so that after the marriage becomes close again.

Abstract

The development of globalization in the previously traditional economic sector has shifted towards digitalization, affecting the high use of the Shopee application by Jambi University PPKn students. This phenomenon has resulted in consumptive behavior that is not in harmony with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to determine the impact of the intensity of using the Shopee application on student consumptive behavior, by considering the Pancasila perspective. A quantitative approach was used in this study through survey methods, involving 39 respondents. Data analysis using SPSS Version 26 shows that the intensity of using the Shopee application significantly affects the consumptive behavior of Jambi University PPKn students, with a p-value of < alpha (0.000 < 0.05). The effect reached 54.3%, while other influencing factors were not studied in this study.

Abstract

Background research is based on the importance of the ability to think creatively participants in ppy-study, so it is done. Research is aimed at seeing an increased creative thinking ability in the use of e-book based canva for zero-one class x-1 man 1 muaro jambi. The study USES research and development using the ADDIE model research methods with canva based e-book learning media performed inside the classroom using the smartphone of each protege. Research conducted at man 1 muaro jambi. Research deduced the development of cana-based media learn-based e-book learning met valid, practical, and effective criteria. Valid criteria are validated by experts in materials, media, and language. Results of material validation with an 88% percentage, media validation with a 95% percentage, and language validation with a 70% percentage. Angket practically an educator with a 100% value and protege figure at an 89%. Effective criteria are seen the learner's observation sheets and the test results learn. The results of a 94% learner's observation sheet and the results of the learning results taken were obtained and the scores of each learner increased from the previous test scores. The entire protege also scored above a moderate minimum.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menyasar satuan pendidikan sekolah dasar dengan tujuan menumbuhkan rasa cinta pada lingkungan sejak dini bagi para peserta didik. Kegiatan dilakukan selama kurang lebih empat bulan penugasan tim Kampus Mengajar. Tahapan kegiatan dimulai dengan penyusunan program, forum komunikasi, dan implementasi aksi nyata. Kegiatan dipilih berlandaskan ecological citizenship dengan tujuan menginternalisasikan kepekaan terhadap permasalahan lingkungan dan mampu mengambil peran dalam upaya penanggulangannya. Kegiatan yang dilakukan diantaranya adalah perilaku bijak sampah, pengelolaan sampah, dan menciptakan lingkungan hijau. Ketiga hal tersebut dilaksanakan sebagai upaya pembiasaan kepada para siswa untuk memiliki rasa peduli dan kepekaan terhadap permasalahan lingkungan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar mereka. Kegiatan ini juga didampingi oleh seluruh tim kampus mengajar dan pihak sekolah untuk bersama-sama saling bersinergi bahu membahu membimbing dan memberikan contoh secara langsung sehingga mampu menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap lingkungan pada peserta didik dan mampu mengimplementasikannya secara mandiri.

Abstract

This research aims to identify both the similarities and significant differences in student perspectives regarding civic engagement and its role in promoting gender equality in higher education at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon and Jambi University. Additionally, the study aims to understand the implications of these perspectives for advancing gender equality at both institutions. The research uses qualitative methods to explore student views on gender equality and its connection to civic engagement through data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that civic engagement can serve as an effective mechanism for enhancing gender equality in various higher education contexts. Students from both universities express an awareness of their critical roles in addressing gender equality issues, although their approaches differ due to religious and secular influences. These insights can guide universities in developing policies that better cater to student needs and foster gender equality through civic engagement. Moreover, the research suggests that a favourable student perspective on civic engagement related to gender equality may act as a catalyst for transformative change across campuses. Despite differing approaches, civic engagement at both institutions has the potential to raise awareness, shape more inclusive policies, and empower students to become advocates for gender equality within their campuses and communities. These results emphasize the necessity for institutional support and the creation of forums where students can express and explore their views on gender equality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan supaya Mengetahui hasil analisis keadaban warga negara digital pada pengguna media sosial siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 16 Kota Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keadaban warga negara digital pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 16 Kota Jambi masih perlu ditingkatkan, khususnya dalam pemahaman tentang etika dan tanggung jawab di dunia digital. Penting bagi sekolah dan orang tua untuk bekerja sama dalam memberikan Pendidikan literasi digital yang komprehensif, guna membentuk generasi yang lebih bertanggung jawab, kritis, dan bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial.

Abstract

This article examines the level of legal awareness among residents of Budiman Village, Jambi City, regarding the dissemination of hoax news on social media. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The analysis process involved data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings reveal that public legal awareness in Budiman Village remains generally low and unevenly distributed. Many residents lack understanding of legal regulations prohibiting the spread of misinformation under Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law. Moreover, awareness of the legal consequences for those who disseminate hoaxes is still limited. While some members of the community express moral support for law enforcement efforts, proactive measures to prevent the spread of hoaxes remain scarce. This situation is attributed to insufficient legal outreach, limited access to accurate information, and a lack of public comprehension about digital legal responsibilities. The study underscores the urgent need for continuous and widespread legal education initiatives to foster a more active, responsible, and law-conscious digital society.

Abstract

This study aims to strengthen green nationalism as a form of disaster mitigation effort in Tantan Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. Through a participatory and educational approach, the program integrates patriotic values with ecological awareness rooted in local wisdom. The methods employed include public outreach, environmental training, and community mentoring in the sustainable management of natural resources. The results of the activities indicate an increased public understanding of the importance of environmental conservation as part of national responsibility. Furthermore, a shared commitment has been established to face disaster risks through reforestation initiatives, the management of critical lands, and the strengthening of disaster-resilient village institutions. In conclusion, green nationalism can serve as a strategic approach that merges nationalistic spirit with environmental concern to foster more resilient and sustainable rural communities.
