Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between lactation period and milk dairy cattle production with the material used is Fries Holland (PFH) dairy cows as many as 20 heads which are lactation both 12 heads, third lactation 3 heads, and fourth lactation 5 heads. The research method is field survey with the data obtained is to follow and record the amount of milk in milking process every lactation period. With the observed variables is the amount of milk production each lactation period, age, environment, feeding and disease prevention, then the existing data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis with SPSS program statistic version 17.0. Results of this study the average production of milk dairy cows is highest in the second lactation and decreased in the third and fourth lactation sequentially ie 11.26 liters/head/day, 10.00 liters/head/day and 8.88 liters/head/day. Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to know the effect of green concentrate use with the proportion of 10 - 30% of different leaf powder to feed intake level, and digestibility of etawa goat. Implementation of research in Klampok Village Singosari Subdistrict and proksimat analysis done in laboratory of Nutrition dan Feed Animal, Brawijaya University. The research material consisted of 16 male goats etawa rich makers, average body weight of 26.68 ± 9.01 kg.The materials used are bran, milled corn, soybean meal, coconut meal, mineral and molasses of Gliricidia sepium leaf powder, Calliandra calothyrsus, Leucaena leucocephala, Artocarpus heterophillus. Abstract

Dalam rangka mensukseskan salah satu tujuan nasional melalui peningkatan produksi terutama komoditas kopi, maka para penyuluh lapang bertugas membina, memberikan informasi, edukasi dan merubah sikap perilaku petani guna memperoleh produksi yang optimal. UMKM Kopi Pilozz dibentuk dalam rangka pemberdayaan para petani kopi dan mengangkat produk kopi lokal Karangploso. Melalui pembinaan, edukasi dan contoh sistem budidaya yang lebih baik, diharapkan para petani bisa merasakan nikmatnya berusahatani kopi  karena meningkatnya produksi dan pendapatan dari komoditas kopi. Berbagai permasalahan teknis berkaitan dengan ketersediaan peralatan, berhasil diselesaikan oleh Tim PKM melalui program bantuan peralatan yaitu Grinder (Milling Kopi Premium), Timbangan Digital Elektronik dan Seperangkat Mesin Roasting Kopi dengan kapasitas lebih besar dan dilengkapi pengatur suhu. Bantuan alat yang diberikan kepada mitra mampu memperbaiki proses dan kualitas produk kopi Pilozz. Dukungan sarana promosi berupa website Kopi Pilozz, video promosi dan publikasi pada media massa online mampu memperluas jangkauan pemasaran produk, melengkapi upaya pemasaran secara konvensional yang telah banyak ditempuh oleh mitra. Dengan demikian dalam jangka panjang dapat meningkatkan omzet penjualan dan meningkatkan pendapatan mitra secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The study was conducted for 21 days from August 28, 2017 to October 3, 2017, at the UB Animal Husbandry Nutrition and Food Laboratory, Malang. The study aims to determine the use of 4 types of additives on the quality of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), crude fiber (CF) mini elephant grass silage (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott). The material used is mini elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) which is harvested at the age of 31 days. Fresh grass is aerated for approximately 12 hours, then chopped 2-5 cm in size. The study used 4 treatments and 5 replications based on a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The duration of the ensilase process is 21 days. The length of treatment that was tried was P1 (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + rice bran), P2 (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + ?ampok maize?), P3 (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + ?onggok?), P4 (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott + mollases). The use of 4 types of additives produces the same response on silage DM with DM content ranging from 17.44-20.34%, CP content ranging from 7.59-11.28%, CF content ranging from 24.50-28.56%, The highest content of 11.28% CP silage obtained from the use of ?ampok maize?. It is recommended, making Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott silage using ?ampok maize? additives as much as 10% of fresh weight. Penelitian dilakukan selama 21 hari mulai tanggal 28 Agustus 2017- 3 Oktober 2017, di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui penggunaan 4 jenis aditif terhadap kualitas bahan kering (BK), protein kasar (PK), serat kasar (SK) silase rumput gajah mini (pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott). Materi yang digunakan yaitu rumput gajah mini (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) yang dipanen pada umur 31 hari. Rumput segar dianginkan selama kurang lebih 12 jam, kemudian dicacah ukuran 2-5 cm. Penelitian mengunakan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Lama proses ensilase adalah 21 hari. Perlakuan yang dicobakan yaitu P1 (Rumput Gajah mini + Dedak padi), P2 (Rumput Gajah mini + Ampok jagung), P3 (Rumput Gajah mini + Onggok), P4 (Rumput Gajah mini + Molases). Penggunaan 4 jenis aditif menghasilkan respon yang sama pada BK silase dengan kandungan BK berkisar 17,44-20,34%, kandungan SK silase berkisar 24,50-28,56%, kandungan PK silase berkisar 7,59-11,28%. Kandungan PK silase tertinggi 11,28% diperoleh dari penggunaan ampok jagung. Disarankan, pembuatan silase rumput gajah mini (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) menggunakan bahan aditif ampok jagung sebanyak 10 % dari berat segar.

Abstract

Penelitian menguji respon penggunaan campuran tepung daun gamal, lamtoro dan sengon (1:1:1) dalam pakan konsentrat (kandungan protein 16%) dibandingkan pakan konsentrat komersial (P0). Konsentrat perlakuan menggunakan sebanyak 10% (P1), 20% (P2) dan 30% campuran tepung daun (P3). Ujicoba secara in-vivo dilakukan pada 16 ekor kambing Peranakan Etawa jantan muda umur 10-12 bulan dengan rataan bobot badan (BB) 20,7±2,8kg.Pakan basal yang diberikan sesuai dengan pemberian di peternak. Respon konsumsi pakan pada semua perlakuan tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Konsumsi pakan basal berkisar 2,1 - 2,3% dari BB kambing. Tambahan pemberian pakan konsentrat sebanyak 1% BB menghasilkan pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Penggunaan campuran tepung daun sebanyak 10% dalam pakan konsentrat menghasilkan rataan pertambahan bobot badan harian tertinggi (105,9±9,0g/ekor/hari) dan konversi pakan terrendah (6,56±0,9).

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Dusun Prodosumbul, Desa Klampok, Kecamatan Singosari Kabupaten Malang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menginventarisasi jenis pakan, konsumsi pakan dan produktivitas kambing PE ditingkat peternak. Penelitian ini melibatkan peternak kambing PE sebagai responden sebanyak 91 orang, berdasarkan kriteria jumlah kepemilikan ternak kambing >3 ekor, pengalaman beternak > 5 tahun. Pemilihan responden melibatkan peran kelompok tani yaitu Gapoktan Arjuna Sejahtera. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus. Pengamatan in vivo dilakukan pada 20 ekor kambing PE jantan muda dengan rataan bobot awal 16,71±1,76 kg. Data dianalisis melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, tabulasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil inventarisasi didapatkan 27 jenis hijauan pakan ternak kambing, terdiri dari 22 macam daun tanaman dan 5 macam hijauan rumput (81,48% daun tanaman : 18,52% hijauan rumput). Pakan hijauan yang sering diberikan pada ternak kambing adalah rumput lapang, pucuk tebu, daun sengon, daun pahitan dan rumput gajah (responden pengguna >40%). Rataan konsumsi hijauan pakan 7,06 kg/ekor/hari dengan konsumsi bahan kering 526,07±88,15 g/ekor/hari, konsumsi bahan organik 511,89±80,32 g/ekor/hari, konsumsi protein kasar 61,58±16,21 g/ekor/hari, konsumsi serat kasar 101,18±29,68 g/ekor/hari dan konsumsi lemak kasar 17,50±13,75 g/ekor/hari.  Pertambahan bobot badan harian 65,9±11,7 g/ekor/hari, konversi pakan 7,53±2,85. Terdapat 13 jenis daun tanaman yang memiliki kandungan protein kasar (PK) lebih dari 18% yaitu Paracerianthes falcataria, Calliandra calothyrsus, Lecaena leucocephala, Artrocarpus heterophyllus Lamk, Calliandra haemochephala, Gliricidia sepium, Colocasia esculenta, Eritrina lithosperma, Sauropus adrogynus, Agratum conyzoides, Ceiba petandra, Manihot utilissima, Centrosema pubescens merupakan pakan potensial sebagai sumber protein untuk pakan ternak kambing PE.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the in vitro ruminal fermentability of supplementation of Gliricidia sepium, Moringa oleifera, Lamk (MOL), Ceiba pentandra and Paraserianthes falcataria leaf meal in concentrate feed to be tested on sheep. This research with the experimental methods was arranged in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 3 groups. The treatment feed tested consisted of concentrate without leaves and concentrate with leaf meal supplementation. Crude protein content (CP) concentrates were prepared 16%, 18% and 20%. Supplementation uses a mixture of Gliricidia sepium, MOL, Ceiba pentandra and Paraserianthes falcataria leaf meal in concentrate feed (1: 1: 1: 1) as much as 10%, 20% and 30%. The measured variables were  degradation of dry matter (DDM) and degradation of organic matter (DOM), gas production rate, microbial biomass and NH3 concentration. The use of mixed leaf meal in concentrate feed resulted in in vitro DDM as well as concentrate feed without leaf meal supplementation. Supplementation of leaf meal in concentrate feed as much as 30% with CP 20% resulted in a decrease in the value of fermentability. The supplementation of leaf meal in concentrate feed as much as 20% in concentrate feed with CP 18% produced the best fermentability value. Suggested for in-vivo trials on sheep using 18% protein concentrate feed by utilizing Gliricidia sepium, MOL, Ceiba pentandra and Paraserianthes falcataria leaf meal in concentrate feed as cheap protein sources.

Abstract

The in-vivo experimental study on rabbit animals  mixed of Moringa oleifera, Lamk(MOL), Gliricidia sepium, Paraserianthes falcataria and Ceiba pentandra leaf meal(1: 1: 1: 1 ratio) of 10%, 20% and 30% in concentrate feed (= green concentrate).The research was conducted at "Mandiri" Breeders Association, Kagrengan NgijoKarangploso. The research aimed to evaluate the use of green concentrate withforage of cabbage leaves on feed intake, digestibility, digestible intake and averagedaily gain (ADG) of rabbit. The method used was the experimental method, arrangedin Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 4 groups. The treatmentsapplied were P0 (basal diet+concentrate 18% crude protein/CP, without leaf meal),P1 (basal diet+green concentrate 18%CP with 10% mixed leaf meal), P2 (basaldiet+green concentrate 18%CP with 20% mixed leaf meal), P3 (basal diet+greenconcentrate 18%CP with 30% mixed leaf meal). The measured variables were feedintake, digestibility, digestible intake and average daily gain of rabbit.The resultsshowed that the use of 10 to 30% mixed leaf meal in green concentrate of rabbitsprovide to produce ADG higher than concentrate without leaf meal. During the study,rabbit’s body weight increased to 1.8-2.3 kg head-1. Supplementation of mixed leafmeal up to 30% on green concentrate can produce feed intake of 4-5% dry matter(DM) from  body weight, and ADG up to 19.83 ± 7.21 g head-1day-1

Abstract

This research was conducted at Field Laboratory of BPT-HMT Singosari Malang. The objectives of current research were to identifity respond, onset and duration of female Etawah crossbreed goat estrus in estrus phase. Eight female Etawah crossbreed goats with live weight of 32.5  2.5 kg were used in this research which feed with 3 kg King Grass and 1 kg concentrate in a day during the research. In order to estrus synchronization, intravagina Controlled Internal Drug Release (CIDR) was implanted in female Etawah crossbreed, then injecting with PGF2. Method used in current research was experimental with purposive sampling. Parameters used in this research were : 1) respond estrus, 2) onset estrus, 3) duration estrus. The results on estrus synchronization used implanted of intravagina Controlled Internal Drug Release (CIDR) showed that respond, onset and duration of female Etawah crossbreed estrus gave a respond estrus of 100% with normal estrus cycle
