Abstract

Data analysis is the process of processing data with the aim of finding useful information that can be used as a basis for making decisions to solve a problem. This analysis process includes activities of grouping data based on its characteristics, performing data cleaning, transforming data, creating data models to find important information from the data. Do not forget that data that has gone through this process must be presented in an attractive and easy-to-understand form by others in the form of output tables, graphs or plots. The ability to analyze data is one of the skills that must be possessed by students of the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAI Tasikmalaya. Students are facilitated by learning data analysis with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) software in statistics courses. This study aims to analyze students' abilities in conducting SPSS-assisted research data analysis. This research was conducted on Tarbiyah Faculty IAI Tasikmalaya students who contracted a statistics course. The sample is determined by purposive sampling. Data was collected during January 2023. Student ability data was collected through assignment results. The level of ability is determined based on the degree of mastery with a range of 0 – 100 and grades A – E. This value is interpreted into 5 categories. Other data collected is student responses to their learning experiences. Data analysis used descriptive statistics to determine the degree of mastery, average and proportion. The findings from this study were that students were able to perform SPSS-assisted research data analysis in the good category. These findings indicate that students are ready to complete their thesis from the aspect of data analysis.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students' mathematical problem solving in learning mathematics. To improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills, researchers implemented the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) carried out in five steps, namely Review (Apperception), Development (Development), Cooperative working (group work), Seatwork (independent work), Assignment (Assignment). The purpose of this research is to (1) explain the implementation of learning by applying the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) model. (2) explaining the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities by applying the Missouri Mathematics Project model. The model used is quantitative using quasi-experimental methods and samples consisting of two classes as an experimental class and a control class with test research instruments (pretest and post-test) and observation of the learning process. This research was conducted at SDN Rawa, Sukahening District, Tasikmalaya Regency. Based on the results of observations, it shows that the process of learning mathematics by applying the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) model has changed. This can be seen from the significantly different student learning outcomes after being analyzed using SPSS 29 with the Mann-Whitney U-Test, the test results show Sig = 0.000 < = 0.05 then Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class using the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model is better than conventional learning.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan analisis data mahasiswa Institut Agama Islam Tasikmalaya berbantuan statistics. Populasi terjangkaunya seluruh mahasiswa IAI Tasikmalaya. Sampel ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Kategori kemampuan tingkat tinggi yang di asesmen meliputi analisis data statistik parametrik dan  statistik non-parametrik menggunakan instrument penugasan sesuai dengan rencana pembelajaran semester (RPS) statistic pendidikan. Deskripsi hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) mahasiswa mampu melakukan analisis data penelitian berbantuan statistics dengan rataan skor 765,78  (kategori baik); (2) mahasiwa menunjukan sikap yang positif terhadap mata pelajaran statistic pendidikan dan model blended learning.

Abstract

The use of learning media, especially Audio Visual Media, is still very low in Mathematics learning. In the learning process carried out, teachers predominantly use the lecture method without using learning media. This causes the learning outcomes obtained by students to not be optimal. From these problems, teachers need to make efforts so that student learning outcomes can reach the KKM. One effort that can be made is to use Audio Visual Media which can help present facts or concepts in a real way, so that students will more easily understand the learning provided well. This research aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on Mathematics learning outcomes in Building Space material in class VI MI Persis Gandok. This research uses a pre-experimental design method, one group pretest - posttest design. The sampling technique that will be used by researchers is Purposive Sampling with a sample size of 26 class VI B students. The research instrument is an essay description test with 20 questions which are analyzed by two Mathematics Experts. After being tested and analyzed by experts, the research instrument used was 10 essay questions which were used as test questions. The research results showed that the average Pre-test score was 73.58 and the Posttest score was 85.65, with a significance value in the Pre-test of 0.308 and the Posttest of 0.372. This means that the Sig. > 0.05 and the data can be said to be normally distributed with a Sig value. overall the homogeneity test is 0.201 > 0.05. Hypothesis testing with the t-test obtained a Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.000 where the Sig value. smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that there is an influence of the use of Audio Visual media on Mathematics learning outcomes in Building Space material in Class VI MI Persis Gandok.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the use of audio-visual media on mathematics learning outcomes in spatial construction material in class VI MI Persis Gandok, Tasikmalaya City. This research is a pre-experimental design type One group Pretest – Posttest design research. The research was carried out at MI Perisis Gandok, Tasikmalaya City, academic year 2023/2024. The population of this research is all MI students in West Java, while the target population is MI Persis Gandok students, in Tasikmalaya City. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique. From the affordable population, one class was selected as the research sample, namely class VI-B. The research instrument was a description test which had previously been analyzed by two mathematicians. Analysis of the research results was carried out using SPSS Ver.25 software. Data processing for testing the influence of the use of audio-visual media on mathematics learning outcomes in spatial building material was carried out using the t-test at a significance level of 5% (ά=0.05). The research results showed that the average pre-test score was 73.58 the post-test score was 85.65 and the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 then Ha is accepted (H0 is rejected). This means that there is an influence of the use of audio-visual media on Mathematics learning outcomes in spatial construction material in Class VI MI Persis Gandok, Tasikmalaya City.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at MI Cipicung in mathematics, particularly in the topic of collecting and interpreting data. This issue is believed to stem from conventional teaching methods that lack visual representation, resulting in less engaging learning experiences and difficulty in understanding abstract concepts. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of graphic-based learning using diagrams and images on improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a One-Group Pre-test Post-test model. The study involved 22 sixth-grade students from MI Cipicung. Data collection instruments included pre-tests and post-tests, observation sheets, and interviews. The pre-test results showed an average score of 5.41, which increased to 7.91 in the post-test. A paired sample t-test analysis revealed a tvalue of 9.574, which was greater than the ttable value of 2.080, and a p-value of 4.13 × 10⁻⁹ < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference in students' performance before and after the intervention. The findings indicate that graphic-based media is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes. It helps students better visualize data, boosts learning motivation and engagement, and makes the learning process more interactive and enjoyable. Thus, the use of graphic media offers a promising alternative strategy to improve mathematics education in primary schools.
