Abstract

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious problem in human development in Indonesia as it affects the quality of human resources, cognitive development, and children’s productivity in the future. The Family Assistance Program for stunting prevention, initiated by BKKBN and the Ministry of Health, positions community cadres as the frontline actors in prevention efforts. This study aims to analyze the competencies and performance of family assistance cadres as well as the strategic human resource management (HRM) factors that influence their effectiveness. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach in Dakopemean Subdistrict, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results show that cadre competencies include knowledge of nutrition and child growth, communication skills, and the use of reporting technology. Major challenges identified were limited training, inadequate ICT facilities, and inconsistent incentives. The effectiveness of assistance increased when supported by strategic HRM elements such as continuous training, feedback-based supervision, fair incentives, and non-material recognition. In conclusion, enhancing cadre competencies and implementing HRM policies aligned with program objectives are key to the success of stunting prevention at the family level.

Abstract

The aims of this research are a) To increase student learning activities in learning theme 6 caring for animals and plants, sub theme 6 learning 4 class 2 SDN Merjosari 04 Malang City and b) To improve student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were all 2nd grade students totaling 28 children. Teaching media that can support the ongoing learning activities are interactive multimedia CD. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of one meeting. The cycle consists of four stages of research, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The implementation of this research is successful if at least 75% of students get a score of 70. The results of the implementation of this research are: (1) The average score of student learning activities in the first cycle is 6.0 in the medium category, and the average score student activity in the second cycle is 10.9 with a high category. while (2) the mastery of student learning outcomes classically in the implementation of the first cycle, namely 78.57% of students who scored above 70 and in the implementation of the second cycle 96.43% of students scored above 70.

Abstract

Urine glucose is one of the important parameters in early screening for glucose metabolism disorders. The presence of glucose in urine occurs when blood glucose levels exceed the renal threshold, causing it to be excreted in the urine. Adolescents with long-term smoking habits may develop insulin resistance, which increases the risk of glucosuria. This study aimed to describe the results of urine glucose examinations among active-smoking adolescents with delayed testing at 2, 4, and 6 hours at a storage temperature of 2–8°C in Private College X. This research employed a descriptive observational design. The samples consisted of 30 active-smoking adolescents whose urine specimens were examined using the dipstick method. The results showed that all urine samples were negative for glucose, even after a delay of up to 6 hours. No indicator color changes were observed on the test strips during the storage period. These findings may be related to stable glucose metabolism and an intact renal reabsorption threshold in adolescents.
