Abstract

Tasiwalie Village is one of the coastal villages located in Suppa districtc which is named Lowita Beach. This beach has been very crowded since 2015, both local and foreign visitors. However, all activities on the beach stopped due to Covid-19 in 2019. PKM activity was carried out to diversify milkfish ice cream as an increase in income for housewives (IRT) in Tasiwalie village, Suppa district. The purpose of this activity is to provide training to IRTs in opening up insight into home industry entrepreneurship through processed milkfish products into milkfish ice cream. Implementation of activities October 29, 2022. The method of implementation includes socialization which aims to provide an overview of the benefits of fish consumption and various ways of processing fishery products. The PKM team itself provided tools and materials for activities by empowering milkfish from ponds in Tasiwalie village itself. Furthermore, we provide training in the form of hands-on practice on how to make milkfish ice cream. As a result of this PKM activity, the IRT and local residents know the benefits of consuming fish and various processed fishery products. During the practice process, it went well and the IRTs easily understood the ingredients and steps in the process of making milkfish ice cream. The practice results are packed with a quantity of 80 cups of ice cream. An IRT can start a business from the IRT itself or submit a proposal for village assistance. This activity can hone the spirit of creativity in entrepreneurship to increase household income. It can be the first step in cultivating a new spirit after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Plastic bottle waste is the result of waste in the form of bottles made of plastic or glass resulting from a production process both industrial and domestic. The existence of this waste is considered to have no economic value and selling value, but to reduce the abundance of plastic waste, especially plastic bottles, there must be innovation that has the purpose of utilization. The concept of using plastic bottle waste as a medium for maintaining ornamental fish is called Aquascape. This activity was carried out in November 2022. One of the methods carried out was by introducing students to recycling plastic bottles and types of ornamental fish. It is hoped that this dedication will reduce the capacity of plastic waste which can reduce the quality of health and the beauty of the environment. The results of collecting used bottles will later be created into an aquascape.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIkan Kakap Putih (Later calcarifer) merupakan salah satu organisme budidaya laut unggulan di Indonesia yang memiliki pertumbuhan relatif cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis bakteri pada ikan kakap yang dibudidaya dengan sistem keramba jaring apung (KJA). Pemeliharaan ikan dalam jumlah besar dengan kepadatan tinggi berpotensi mengakibatkan lingkungan yang kurang kondusif dari sisa-sisa pakan sehingga menyebabkan timbulnya penyakit. Penyakit ini terjadi dari interaksi yang tidak serasi antara tiga komponen utama budidaya, yaitu lingkungan, organisme yang dibudidaya, dan organisme penyebab penyakit. Kondisi lingkungan yang sering berubah-ubah menyebabkan ikan stres pada saat pemeliharaan sehingga dapat memicu timbulnya penyakit dan dapat mengakibatkan kematian ikan. Selain menurunnya parameter kualitas air, pemicu lain yang menyebabkan serangan infeksi adalah terlukanya ikan ketika dipelihara di dalam keramba jaring apung (KJA) dan penggunaan net yang kotor menyebabkan tertinggalnya bakteri yang dapat menyerang ikan pada siklus berikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi keberadaan dan jenis bakteri pada ikan kakap putih yang dibudidayan dengan sistem keramba jaring apung (KJA). Penelitian ini dirancang dengan metode sampling dengan mengambil ikan di kja kemudian menumbuhkan dan mengidentifikasi bakteri dari saluran pencernaan ikan kakap Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dan di deskripsikan sesuai dengan golongan bakteri. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan tiga jenis bakteri yakni Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus arlette, dan Staphylococcus haemolyticus. Beberapa jenis bakteri yang didapatkan ada yang bersifat gram positif dan pathogen.Kata Kunci: Bakteri, Ikan Kakap Putih, Keramba Jaring Apung, Penyakit, PrebiotikABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the type of bacteria in Asian seabass cultured with floating net cages (KJA) system. Rearing fish in large numbers at high densities can result in an environment that is not conducive for leftover feed to cause disease. This disease occurs from an incompatible interaction between the three main components of cultivation the environment, biota, and disease-causing organisms. Therefore, environmental conditions that often change cause stress in fish during rearing, leading to disease and death in fish. In addition to decreasing water quality parameters, another trigger that causes the infection is an injury to fish when kept in floating net cages (KJA) and the use of dirty nets causing bacteria to be left behind which can attack fish in the next cycle. Related to this, this research will identify the presence and types of bacteria in barramundi cultured using a floating net cages (KJA) system. This study was designed using a sampling method by taking fish at KJA and then growing and identifying bacteria from the digestive tract of Asian seabass. The data obtained was then analyzed and described according to the group of bacteria. This study found three types of bacteria: Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus arlette, and Staphylococcus haemolyticus. Some types of bacteria found are gram-positive and pathogenic.Keywords: asian seabass, bacteria, disease floating net cage, prebiotic

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in November 2022. The target are students at Aisyiyah Kindergarten Jampue Branch who are classified as Early Childhood Children. The method used is sharing and practice introducing morphology and anatomy of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio). The activity was carried out in several stages, namely: the initial stage in form of obtaining permits from the school, then the implementation stage by interacting with students to introduce fish morphology, and practice introducing fish anatomy by directly fish surgery. This service activity succeeded in increasing understanding and enthusiasm of Aisyiyah Kindergarten students, Jampue Branch, to learn more about the morphology and anatomy of fish. Apart from that, this activity provides information to students about the benefits of fish as food with the various advantages that fish has.

Abstract

One the campus placement schools teaching class VII 2024 is UPT SD Negeri 182 Pinrang, located at jln.H. Kanebo No.1 Ujung Lero, Suppa sub-district, Pinrang district, South Sulawesi. Lero village is in the coastal area and is known as a maritime community whose source of income or livelihood is the majority of the population as fisherman and their income comes from the sea. As om of the school located at the tip of lero, the aim of this service is to increase students marine literacy who are expected to be able to understand and evaluate every from of activity or activity in the fisheries sektor by teaching basic concepts through curricular activities, namely local fisheries content. The learning media used are learning videos and the implementation of pre-test and post-tests to determine the level of students understanding of the learning outcomes. Based on the results of the pre-test and post- test, about fisheries mulok has increased their knowledge and understanding of marine literacy.

Abstract

Ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan perikanan air tawar yang telah massif dibudidayakan. Peningkatan produksi komoditi ini telah banyak dilakukan melaui budidaya secara intensif, namun dihadapkan pada berbagai permasalahan yaitu serangan patogen yang dapat menyebabkan kematian organisme budidaya. Solusi dari permasalahan ini dapat ditanggulangi dengan pemberian imunostimulan yang bersumber dari bahan herbal ekstrak Aloe vera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh ekstrak lidah buaya yang dicampurkan ke dalam pakan komersial pada sintasan dan persentase hematokrit ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Pemeliharaan ikan selama penelitian berlangsung selama 15 hari yang dilakukan pada akuarium bervolume 40 liter. Penelitian didesain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu perbedaan dosis ekstrak Aloe vera dengan 3 ulangan, dosis yang digunakan adalah 0, 5, 10 dan 15 g/kg pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan ekstrak Aloe vera ke dalam pakan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) pada sintasan dan persentase hematokrit ikan nila. Namun secara deskriptif ekstrak Aloe vera pada dosis 10 g/kg pakan menunjukkan sintasan dan persentase hematokrit tertinggi ikan nila.
