Abstract

Artikel ini mengungkap tawaran Al-Qur’an dalam merespon konflik antara kelompok manusia dengan menjadikan kasus konflik di Indonesia sebagai titik berangkat. Semua itu menggambarkan konflik akan selalu ada sepanjang perjalanan kehidupan manusia karena berbanding lurus dengan keinginan masing-masing individu, kelompok atau bangsa. Sebagai makhluk sosial maka akan selalu ada gesekan antar sesama yang tidak jarang karena satu hal dan lainnya menimbulkan konflik. Al-Qur’an sebagai kitab suci yang memiliki jargon s}a>lih li kulli zam?n wa mak?n, menyimpun tawaran tersendiri untuk menjadi problem solving atas setiap konflik yang terjadi. Artikel ini menggunakan metode tafsir tematik-deskriptif sehingga dengan melihat ayat-ayat tentang konflik secara global bukan parsial. Artikel ini juga mendukung pendapat Lewis A. Coser (1913-2003 M) tentang struktural fungsional, yang melihat kehidupan manusia dari dua sisi, yaitu sisi konflik yang didukung oleh Ralf Dahrendorf 1929-2009 M. Sisi kedua, manusia cenderung dalam kondisi tentang, damai, dan tentram. Dari berbagai ayat yang penulis inventarisir, setidaknya ada beberapa tawaran Al-Qur’an yang dibahas dalam tulisan ini yaitu pertama: membangun dan membuka ruang untuk komunikasi. Kedua: menjalin persaudaraan. Ketiga: melakukan klarifikasi (tabayyun) dalam setiap masalah. Keempat: menahan diri dan menghargai pihak lain. Kelima: tidak memaksakan kehendak. Keenam: perang, jika tidak ada jalan lain dalam menyelesaikan masalah dan merupakan pilihan terakhir. Jika perang telah menjadi pilihan satu-satunya, maka perang yang dilakukan harus berlandaskan fi sabilillah, yakni dalam rangka membela diri, juga untuk menegakkan kebenaran dan keadilan, dengan etika-etika perang yang wajib dipenuhi.

Abstract

Hermeneutics as a new approach in the world of interpretation has received various responses from Muslims. However, hemeneutics is still considered not well-established enough to be used as an approach to the interpretation of the Koran because it was not originally intended for the Koran. In addition, the Koran cannot be equated with other textswhich are the result of human hands while the Koran comes from Allah SWT, according to Islamic beliefs. This paper will review the epistemology of hermeneutics by looking at the views of its figures such as Friedrich Schleiermacher, Wilhelm Dilthey, Martin Heiddegger, Paul Ricoeur, Hans-Georg Gadamer. The research method used is library research. It was found that the use of hermeneutics as an approach in interpreting the Qur'an, was responded in three forms, namely groups that support, groups that reject and groups that do not fully support nor completely reject.

Abstract

This article aims to express the Koran's views on astrophysics, one of the fields of science that studies the properties of physical phenomena and astronomical objects in the Universe. Some of Allah's verses are written and some are implied. The Qur'an is the written verse of Allah while the universe is the written verse of Allah. Because both are verses from Allah, there should be no conflict between the two because they both come from Allah SWT. This effort was carried out using qualitative methods and combining them with thematic interpretation methods. So it was found that the Koran talks a lot about written verses such as the sky, light, sun, moon, stars, black holes, and life outside the earth.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to see how the role of the HQ4T method in improving the quality of memorization and understanding of the Qur'an for students. Memorizing the Qur'an has its appeal in post-modern society, even surpassing the number of Qur'an memorizers in Saudi Arabia. However, the quantity is not in harmony with the quality because many students only get the predicate of memorization but are not able to read everything by rote in bi al-qaib (reading without looking at the mushaf). In another fact, many students only focus on increasing the number of memorization but do not improve the quality of comprehension. Even though the Qur'an is a book of instructions, not a book of memorization. To answer this problem, the researcher uses a qualitative research method that is descriptive with the analysis of the HQ4T method. The results of the study showed that the improvement in the quality of students' memorization was seen in the ability of students to immediately recall the verses that had been memorized when needed. Meanwhile, the increase in understanding can be seen in the ability of students to rewrite and translate each verse that has been memorized.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation process of the Arabic Language Teaching Program curriculum based on Religious Moderation in private Islamic universities in Aceh. The focus of this research covers all stages, from planning, and implementation, to curriculum evaluation. This study also aims to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered during the implementation process.  The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the curriculum of the Arabic Language Teaching Program based on Religious Moderation has been well implemented in private Islamic universities in Aceh. The implementation of the curriculum focuses on the development of religious moderation values, which are reflected in every stage, from planning to evaluation. These religious moderation values are not only explicitly included in the curriculum, but also internalized through various academic activities on campus. This curriculum aims to produce students who have a deep understanding of the importance of religious moderation in the context of daily life. However, this study also identifies several factors that affect the implementation of the curriculum, both internally and externally. Supporting factors include support from university management and lecturer commitment while inhibiting factors are related to limited resources and challenges in organizing academic activities. This research contributes to understanding the application of religious moderation-based curriculum in Islamic higher education, especially in Aceh.

Abstract

Radicalism is a significant threat to social stability in Indonesia, especially among Muslim youth. This research aims to explore the role of Islamic moderation in preventing the spread of extremist ideology. This study uses a qualitative approach, the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the framework of Preferred Reporting Items ¬for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), the study analyzed 100 studies from the Google Scholar database published between 2019-2024, with inclusion criteria covering the Muslim youth population aged 15-35 years. The results of the study show that Islamic moderation is effective in warding off radicalism through a multidimensional approach, including transformative education, digital media literacy, and strengthening the values of tolerance. The findings reveal that the implementation of Islamic moderation can build youth resilience against extremist propaganda, encourage comprehensive religious understanding, and create inclusive dialogue spaces. The conclusion of the study confirms that Islamic moderation is not just a theological approach, but a systematic strategy to form a tolerant and moderate young generation. This research makes theoretical and practical contributions to deradicalization efforts in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Dai Certification Program, organized by the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI), aims to enhance the competence of preachers in delivering moderate and inclusive sermons. This research uses a descriptive qualitative literature study approach aimed at analyzing the role of the program in strengthening religious moderation in Indonesia, particularly amidst the challenges of globalization, societal pluralism, the rise of radicalism, and the increasing potential for religion-based conflicts. The findings of this research indicate that this program provides a better understanding of the principles of religious moderation and teaches preachers adaptive preaching methods to the local context. This certification also increases public trust in certified preachers. However, it was found that expectations did not match reality, namely, the minimal participation of preachers in this certification program, due to disagreements with the concept of moderation and group fanaticism. Similarly, there are challenges in the implementation of religious moderation, such as radicalization and extremism, which are threats to religious moderation, conflicts, and the role of moderation in balancing interfaith perspectives. Overall, this program plays a crucial role in building an inclusive and harmonious framework for preaching. To enhance the national impact of the program, these findings recommend the development of a broader program and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the integration of religious moderation in the student council work program to increase tolerance between students at SMA Negeri 1 Parungpanjang. Religious moderation is a strategic approach to building social harmony in the context of a diverse society. This study uses a qualitative method, collecting data through interviews and observations. The study results show that the student council work program that integrates the value of religious moderation is effective in strengthening tolerance attitudes between students. This program has succeeded in creating a positive interaction space between students with different religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. The role of the student council coach is very significant in supporting the implementation of the program. They not only provide direction but also provide an example of practicing religious moderation. This helps students understand the importance of the values of togetherness and mutual respect. Challenges in the implementation of this program include the lack of participation of students who have not fully benefited from the value of religious moderation. This shows that there is a need for innovation in the design of activities to be more inclusive and attractive for all students. The value of religious moderation taught through the student council program not only has an impact on the interaction between students in the school environment but is a long-term contribution to the formation of students' character as inclusive and tolerant individuals.

Abstract

This article aimed to analyze Shi'a da'wah in Karang Gayam and Blu'uran-Sampang-Madura Villages using the theory of religious moderation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This research was important because what is produced from Shi'a da'wah is one of the black records of religious life in Indonesia. The researcher used a qualitative method that is a case study, data was obtained through interviews, then analyzed thematically such as John W. Creswell's steps, while the validity of the data used triangulation of sources. The findings of this study revealed that there are several principles that were neglected in Shi'a da'wah in Karang Gayam and Blu'uran-Sampang Villages, Madura, namely ignoring the principles of justice and balance, the principles of amar makruf and nahi mungkar, the principle of comfort in religion and the principle of graduality. When this principle was disregarded, it is not surprising that da'wah efforts led to conflicts between Sunni communities that are rooted first and Shia groups as immigrant teachings. This research can be a reference material for da'wah practitioners in a multicultural society.
