Abstract

ABSTRACT Art is a complex of elements that is very popular with residents, so it seems as if it dominates Balinese life. The art of karawitan is an important part of Balinese life that has been inherited since ancient times. There are two types of Angklung gamelan in the Pererenan area, namely in Banjar Jempinis and in Banjar Pengembungan. Banjar Jempinis is part of Pererenan Village which is located in Mengwi District. The problems and objectives of this study are; to find out about learning to play the angklung gamelan. To understand the process of learning to play the angklung gamelan. To find out the implications in learning to play the angklung gamelan. The method approach used is a qualitative method because there is more primary and secondary data in the field. Data was collected using observation techniques, interviews and completed using a triangulation approach before being concluded as research results. An analytical approach using learning theory and functional theory in analyzing the problem. The findings of this research show that apart from the learning methods generally used, conventional learning methods are also used in learning gemelan angklung in Banjar Jempinis Mengwi. Found that there are educational values ??that are applied which are related to scientific learning of art, social values, religious values ??and also character. Abstract

Agama Hindu dibangun dalam tiga kerangka dasar, yaitu Tattwa, Susila, dan Upacara. Tatwa merupakan pengetahuan agama atau ajaran-ajaran keagamaan, Susila merupakan sebuah sikap, dan Upacara merupakan pelaksanaan ajaran agama. Ketiganya adalah salah satu kesatuan yang tidak terpisahkan serta mendasari tindak keagamaan umat Hindu. Ketiga hal tersebut ada dalam kehidupan yang juga tidak terlepas dari beryadnya yang merupakan sebuah korban suci tulus iklhas yang dipersembahkan kepada Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Yadnya merupakan salah satu bagian dari pelaksnaan upacara sebagai dasar pengembalian Tri Rna. Yadnya tidak hanya dapat dilakukan dalam bentuk persembahan berbentuk banten saja namun sebuah karya juga bisa dipersembahkan sebagai yadnya, yang dimana seluruh ide dan fikiran kita persembahkan ke dalam bentuk sebuah karya seni. Gending Penyandar merupakan salah satu komposisi gending atau lagu yang menjadi suatu ciri khas di Desa Adat Serangan. Gending Penyandar memiliki keunikan tersendiri yang bisa dilihat dari segi musikalitasnya yang bernuansa klasik yang hingga saat ini masih tetap dipertahankan. Gending penyandar merupakan iringan gending sakral yang digunakan atau berfungsi didalam upacara Dewa Yadnya (Mepajar). Mepajar adalah kata lain dari ritual yang menyangkut tentang Napak Pertiwi (turun ke bumi), melaui ritual dengan berbagai sarana upakara dan perlengkapan lainnya dengan rasa tulus ikhlas untuk menjalankan upacara mepajar. Sarana dan perlengkap salah satunya adalah dengan memainkan gamelan gong kebyar. Saat menyajikan Gending Penyandar, adanya daya tarik dari kalangan anak-anak, remaja, sampai orang tua dan menyajikan Gending Penyandar pada upacara Mepajar

Abstract

The teachings of Hinduism as stated in the holy book Veda are a guide for Hindus to live a holy life. However, along with advances in science and technology (IPTEK), Hindus have paid less attention to the sacred teachings of the Vedas, Advances in science and technology in this era of globalization have resulted in many changes in various aspects of life, both economic, social and cultural. Advances in science and technology have indeed brought changes to material prosperity, However, it is necessary to think about the negative impacts caused by the development of science and technology, especially the decline in character in adolescence. To prevent these negative influences, through formal activities (at school) especially in improving students' morals, Therefore, Hindu religious teachers, especially at Prshanti Nilayam Vocational School, provide a deeper spiritual understanding through chanting activities. Chanting is a form of spiritual activity by chanting a mantra or God's name repeatedly, By doing Japa, it is believed that you can eliminate mental impurities such as lust, anger, greed and so on. So Sadu Gunawan is the one who shapes the child's personality into a Suputra child with noble character. Based on the background above, there are three problem formulations obtained, including: (1) Why is the implementation of chanting a strategy for forming Budhi Character education at Prshanti Nilayam Vocational School, Kuta District, Badung Regency? (2) How does the process of implementing chanting a strategy for forming Budhi Character education at Prshanti Nilayam Vocational School, Kuta District, Badung Regency? (3) What are the implications of the implementation of chanting a strategy for forming Budhi Character education in religious practice at Prshanti Nilayam Vocational School, Kuta District, Badung Regency? The theories used to analyze this problem formulation are: Constructivism theory, Structural Functional theory, and Value theory. The subjects of this research were students of Prshanti Nilayam Vocational School, Kuta District, Badung Regency. The methods used to collect data are: observation method, interview method, literature study, and documentation method. The data that has been collected is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive analysis method with reduction steps, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show (1) The form of chanting has a multifunctional form and is very useful for improving moral character and increasing sradha and devotional service towards Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God Almighty). (2) The process of implementing japa. Hindu religious teachers act as coaches for students by applying the rules for chanting. The mantra used is the Vaikhari Japa method, namely by using mantras including the Gayatri Mantra or Savitri Mantra, Pancaksara Siva Mantra, and Saraswati Mantra. (3) There are implications of Hindu religious education that is instilled through the implementation of Japa, including the growth of faith and devotion towards Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, the development of ethical values or behavior (morals), the growth of an attitude of sacrifice (Yadnya), and there are also several implications for Hindu religious teachers in teaching, namely being disciplined, efficient, honest, creative, friendly, and compassionate.

Abstract

Menarik mencermati karya Rejang Puspa Citta Naya dalam konteks pendidikan agama Hindu. Tujuannya adalah mendapatkan kejelasan dari persoalan ide dan konsep bentuk garap sebagai simbol pencerahan bagi masyarakat Hindu di Bali. Permasalahannya bagaimana proses pendidikan keagamaan Hindu dapat menjadi media pencerahan pada bentuk karya Rejang puspa Citta Naya. Tulisan ini berangkat dari hasil pencermatan kontemplasi yang dituang dalam bentuk karya pertunjukan. Menggunakan pendakatan kualitatif di mana data sepenuhnya diolah dari dari primer dan sekunder untuk dapat kemudian disimpulkan. Beberapa temuan dari kegiatan pencermatan ini menemukan bahwa dalam koteks pendidikan karya Rejang Puspa Citta Naya tidak semata tentang estetika namun secara intrinsik tersembunyi nilai-nilai lokalitas yang menggandeng konsep keagamaan Hindu di dalamnya.

Abstract

Genggong performance art is a form of art in Batuan Village. Its existence in the midst of community life is closely related to the tourism industry. Its presence is currently increasingly squeezed by the Golbal culture which is not only present from modern (calcic) traditional arts but also contemporary culture. If it is left out it is not impossible that Genggong art will disappear. It can also erase the local cultural identity in Batuan Village. Efforts to optimize Genggong's art at this time are a problem. This not only arises because of internal problems from the Genggong actors themselves, but also externally the network that was cut off was often caused by factors playing in it. The importance of making this Genggong art present in Batuan is none other than the icon of the Batuan Culture village which has become a tourist village, worth fighting for given that cultural richness is a hallmark of genius society. In addition to optimizing the Genggong art, it has the opportunity to be a more useful touristic spectacle. The impact of the Genggong art problem in Batuan Village will also be a pilot project for the arts of the same fortune in the global era. In addition, financially the actors involved in it feel they have the opportunity to earn a fortune and protection. This study uses a cultural study approach that is more focused on solving problems to raise the issue of marginalization with cultural theories. It seems that through qualitative methods explanations can find a deeper analysis. Resolving the Genggong art problem can be a model for other traditional arts that also suffer a similar fate. The findings of this study at least give rise to a new awareness to jointly provide a way out of traditional Balinese art so that it can be enjoyed more broadly over time.

Abstract

Nilai dalam aktivitas seni dilibatkan dalam suatu prosesi seringkali dipandang sebagai bentuk pemujaan yang patut disokong secara nyata pada praktiknya. Hal demikian tidak saja akan menimbulkan berbagai dampak terhadap upacara yang dilakukan. Aspek pendidikan yang ternyata terkandung di dalamnya dipandang sebagai bentuk praktik nyata yang tidak didasarkan pada nilai untung rugi secara matirial melainkan ada nilai penting secara psikologis sebagai penggerak ritual. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membahas masalah nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam proses ngayah wali di pura Gunung Agung Lebah desa Ubud Kecamatan Ubud Gianyar. Lewat pendekatan metoda kualitatif mencoba untuk memanfaatkan data primer dan sekunder yang didukung oleh data observasi partisipan, mengurai secara verbal keterlibatan pengkaji dan pelaku lainnya dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk memperoleh hasil yang dapat menjawab dan menjelaskan nilai pendidikan tentang ngayah wali. Hal yang kemudian menjadi temuannya adalah bahwa ritual upacara di pura agung Gunung lebah dipraktikan seni tabuh lelambatan sebagai penyajian sakral saat upacara dilaksanakan. Nilai yang terkandung dalam praktiknya menunjukan bahwa kegiatan wali dimaksud menguatkan keyakinan masyarakat dan pelaku seni secara psikologi tentang keiklasan dalam beryadnya. Nilai keiklasan yang memaknai ketulusan dalam penyajian, dan juga menjaga hubungan bathin antara pelaku dan pemilik pura. Secara nyata menguatkan kembali penguasaan seni tabuh wali dalam upacara wali sebagai bentuk sajian bunyi sakral sebagai pemenuhan syarat dalam upacara.
