This study aims to determine the implementation of diversity values in Civic Education learning as an effort to strengthen the character of tolerance of students at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 3 Idanogawo. This study is motivated by the importance of instilling diversity values in the school environment in order to shape students' attitudes of tolerance in facing religious, ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects consisted of the principal, Civic Education teachers, and students at the UPTD of SMP Negeri 3 Idanogawo. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of diversity values in Civic Education learning is carried out through the integration of diversity values in the planning and implementation of learning. Second. The obstacles faced in the implementation of the implementation of diversity values in Civic Education learning as an effort to strengthen the character of tolerance of students. such as differences in student backgrounds that are quite diverse, both from socio-economic, religious and ethnic. Third. Efforts to overcome obstacles in implementing the Value of Diversity in Civics learning as an effort to strengthen students' tolerance. Teachers use various learning methods such as group discussions, case studies, and cooperative learning to instill mutual respect, tolerance, and cooperation among students. Furthermore, teachers also model fairness, respect for differences of opinion, and encourage students to resolve problems through deliberation. However, several obstacles remain in implementation, such as differences in students' family backgrounds, varying levels of student understanding, and the influence of social media, which can influence students' mindsets about diversity.
