Abstract

Background : Failure to give breast milk by the mother, among others, the mother feels tired due to the delivery process, the milk does not come out, the milk production is low, or the mother reasons that she has never given exclusive breastfeeding. Katuk leaves (Sauropus Androgynus L'Merr) is a lactagogue plant that can increase milk production. Purpose : Knowing the effect of health promotion of katuk leaves to increase milk production on the knowledge of postpartum mothers in the Kauditan Health Center, North Minahasa Regency. Method : This research design uses the method Quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest to compare before and after the experiment was carried out with 33 samples, taking samples by means of non-probability sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire containing a number of written questions. The experiment used counseling methods for postpartum mothers. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test with significance. Results : shows that health promotion of katuk leaves to increase milk production can affect the knowledge of postpartum mothers in the working area of ​​the Kauditan Health Center, North Minahasa Regency. Recommendations for postpartum mothers can apply by consuming katuk leaves to help increase milk production.

Abstract

Background : Uterine involution during the puerperium must go well so efforts are needed to accelerate uterine involution, one of which is consuming sweet potato leaves. Sweet potato leaves have nutrients that can help mothers reduce involution more quickly, and can also increase milk production. An increase in the hormone oxytocin can reduce the height of the uterine fundus. Objective : Knowing the effect of giving sweet potato leaves to reduce uterine involution in postpartum women at the Sifra Langowan maternity clinic. Methods : This research usesQuasi-experimental design with a plan one-group pretest – posttest design. The sample of this research was postpartum mothers from the 1st to the 7th day as many as 15 respondents, determined by means purposive sampling. Data was collected using an observation sheet which contained a number of indicators for evaluating decreased uterine involution in writing which were filled in before and after the intervention was given. Data analysis used the Paired Sample T-Test. Results : Test results Paired sample T-Test There is an effect of sweet potato leaves on reducing uterine involution in postpartum women at the Sifra Langowan maternity clinic. recommendations for postpartum mothers to consume sweet potato leaves regularly during the postpartum period to help reduce uterine involution

Abstract

Background : The postpartum period is a period of increased risk of depression and other mental disorders as a result of physiological and psychosocial changes. Postpartum maternal depression, such as feelings of stress, excessive anxiety, difficulty sleeping, and weight changes with drastic weight loss, if left unchecked can be harmful to both the baby and the mother herself, thus postpartum mothers need to improve screening and treatment. Postpartum depression requires greater treatment depending on the severity. Evidence suggests that more than 50% of people suffering from anxiety and depression use some type of complementary health approach, including herbal remedies, dietary supplements, massage, and aromatherapy. Objective : analyze the effectiveness of treatment aromatherapy and back massage towards maternal depressive symptoms postpartum. Methods : Research design Quasi experimental design with a plan one group pretest posttest. Place of research implementation in the city of Manado. Samples were 4 to 8 weeks postpartum mothers who were taken randomly purposive sampling totaling 32 subjects, analysis by test Wilcoxon Test. Results : research shows a combination of aromatherapy and back massage proven to significantly reduce maternal depressive symptoms postpartum. This treatment helps in promoting relaxation, pain relief, and less sleeplessness during the postpartum period. This result is supported by various literatures and can be recommended for families.

Abstract

Covid-19 (coronavirus disease) diketahui lewat penyakit misterius yang melumpuhkan Kota Wuhan, China. Tragedi akhir 2019 tersebut terus berlanjut hingga penyebaran Covid -19 mewabah ke seluruh dunia. Berbagai cara dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan sistem imun diantaranya istirahat yang cukup, rajin berolahraga, mengurangi stress, berjemur sinar matahari dan menjaga pola makan sehat. Yoga merupakan salah satu olah raga yang paling tepat karena yoga merupakan penggabungan antara olahraga fisik dengan pelatihan pernapasan, gerakan yoga terkandung efek relaksasi yang dapat menstabilkan emosi dan ritme nafas sehingga mengurangi stress. Metode dengan Langkah awal melakukan survey, pendekatan kepada pemerintah setempat yaitu pemeritah Kelurahan dan Puskesmas di lokasi tempat akan dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan memberikan edukasi Covid-19 dan adaptasi kebiasaan baru dengan membagikan leaflet agar masyarakat memahami Covid-19 dan adaptasi kebiasaan baru. Mendemonstrasikan Gerakan yoga dan memutarkan video yoga agar masyarakat bisa mengikuti Gerakan yoga bersama untuk mengurangi stress. Hasil kegiatan yaitu masyarakat memahami Covid-19 dan adaptasi kebiasaan baru serta dapat mempraktekkan Kembali gerakan yoga. Saran agar petugas puskesmas melakukan yoga rutin karena terbukti memberikan ketenangan/mengurangi stress

Abstract

Globally, people are experiencing increased feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression as a consequence of the situation that has arisen due to the current pandemic. Pregnant women also often feel anxious and afraid of being exposed to COVID-19, which has an impact on anxiety and mood disorders. Yoga is an ancient way of living in harmony with oneself (body, emotions, and mind) and nature and can improve individual health and reduce stress. This study aims to determine the average difference in anxiety in pregnant women after being given "prenatal tayo". This research is a quasi-experiment using a pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, with 25 respondents fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria in this study were pregnant women with gestational ages between 14 and ≤ 30 weeks, being able to read and write, and owning a smartphone. Exclusion criteria in this study were pregnant women with pregnancy complications and pregnant women with a history of previous miscarriages caused by a weak uterus or heart disease. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Statistical tests using independent T test and Paired T-Test. There is a difference in the anxiety of pregnant women before and after being given "Tayo Prenatal". More research is needed regarding changes in anxiety in pregnant women measured every week to determine the effect of the intervention of giving "Tayo Prenatal" compared to giving Yoga.

Abstract

Depression and anxiety during pregnancy can increase the risk of miscarriage, premature birth, low birth weight, low Apgar scores, and fetal death The past COVID-19 pandemic caused significant anxiety and infection fear, causing significant harm to pregnant women's lives. Public access to health services has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of pregnancy care home visits on depression and anxiety of pregnant women. Efforts should therefore be made to increase visits by pregnant women while maintaining health protocols during the pandemic. The research method is a Quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling with the inclusion criteria of pregnant women who did not re-examine at the Health Center for 1 month and pregnant women who were willing to be selected as respondents. obtained 28 pregnant women as respondents. The instruments used are the Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS) questionnaire and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The data analysis technique used the Paired Simple T-test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in depression and anxiety during pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic, this data was obtained from interviews and pregnancy care with home visits. The depression rate at the initial data of 12.36 dropped to 3.50, and the anxiety rate of 22.46 dropped to 6.61 after being given prenatal care with home visits. In these difficult times, the need for prenatal health care can ensure the provision of protective and safe services and psychological screening of pregnant women at risk for depression to reduce long-term negative outcomes should be carried out.
