Abstract

According to the Central Statistics Agency (2018), to maximize the development potential of children aged 0-6 years, the government has created an early childhood education (PAUD) program. The PAUD program prioritizes children's physical growth and development (fine and gross motor coordination) and children's intelligence, socio-emotional skills, and language and communication, which aim to provide positive stimulation for children's growth and development. Stimulation for children needs to be done as early as possible. Its implementation can be carried out regularly as a prevention because when stimulation is carried out, the hormones needed for children's development can be produced by the body. One of them is by doing sensory play activities. Sensory play is a game that can train children to use one or more senses. Sensory play becomes a stimulus that will enter the child's brain, which then the nervous system will process it by producing a sensation that can encourage the child's senses to move, this is called a stimulus-response. When children get a lot of stimulus, children will get more and more pleasant experiences (Munzilin, et al., 2021). The methods used are lectures and discussions. The implementation of community service was carried out at PAUD Uswatun Hasanah, Bogor Regency on January 8, 2024, with 38 participants. After the community service activity, participants learned the importance of providing stimulation for children's fine motor development.

Abstract

Background: The second highest MMR in Indonesia in 2023 was due to obstetric haemorrhage, which accounted for 17.16% of the total MMR of 4,129. One of the factors causing obstetric haemorrhage is anaemia. In 2023, the Indonesian Health Service Office reported that the proportion of anaemia in pregnant women in Indonesia was 27.7%, and in West Java in 2023 it was 10.44%. One of the non-pharmacological therapies to help overcome anaemia is the administration of date juice. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of date juice administration on haemoglobin levels and blood glucose levels in pregnant women with anaemia. Method: This type of research is a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The population is pregnant women in the third trimester with anaemia. The sample in this study consisted of 20 people who were then given treatment. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon test and Paired sample t test. Result: The results showed an increase in the average haemoglobin level before (10.11 g/dL) and after (11.60 g/dL) the providing of date juice. Meanwhile, the average blood glucose level before (96.30 mg/dL) and after (96.65 mg/dL) showed a slight increase. The results of the Wolcoxon test on haemoglobin levels showed a p value = 0.000, so there is a significant effect of date juice administration on haemoglobin levels. Meanwhile, from the results of the paired sample t test on blood glucose levels, the p value = 0.953, so there is no effect of date juice administration on blood glucose levels in pregnant women in the third trimester with anaemia. Conclusion: There is an effect of date juice on increasing haemoglobin levels and no effect on blood glucose levels in pregnant women in their third trimester with anaemia.

Abstract

Menstruation is a physiological change that occurs periodically in the female body and is influenced by reproductive hormones. However, not all female adolescents experience a normal menstrual cycle. Many suffer from conditions such as oligomenorrhea, polymenorrhea, or amenorrhea, and experience dysmenorrhea pain. Dysmenorrhea management can be performed through pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods, one of which is by consuming saffron stigma infusion. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a twogroup pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 60 female adolescents experiencing dysmenorrhea, divided into two groups: the treatment group, which received saffron stigma infusion, and the control group, which received warm compress therapy. Pain levels were measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis was conducted using the Paired T-Test with SPSS 16 software. The study revealed that saffron stigma infusion was effective in reducing dysmenorrhea pain in female adolescents (p < 0.05), whereas the warm compress group did not show any significant changes. Saffron stigma infusion has been proven to be effective in reducing dysmenorrhea pain in female adolescents, while warm compress therapy does not provide a significant effect.

Abstract

If purine intake from food is too high, exceeding 15% of the body's needs, there will be a buildup of purine in the body. Foods that contain high levels of purine cause uric acid levels to rise in the body. In Indonesia, the prevalence of gout at ages 55-64 years is around 45%, and at ages 65-74 years is around 51.9%, and at ages >75 years is around 54.8%. The prevalence of gout arthritis in Indonesia in 2018 was around 11.9%, with Aceh at 18.3%, West Java at 17.5%, and Papua at 15.4%. Based on the symptoms of gouty arthritis in East Nusa Tenggara, it is 33.1%, West Java is 32.1%, and Bali is also 30%. According to one study, increasing uric acid levels in the blood, apart from causing gout, is a strong predictor of death due to cardiovascular damage. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of giving boiled mango leaves on reducing uric acid levels in PMB Ny. R Gandul Cinere Depok 2023. Type pThe research used was an experiment with Quasy Experiment using a one group Pre-Post test design approach. The population in this study was 30 menopausal elderly people. Data analysis used the Shapiro Wilk test and Wilcoxon test. The results of the analysis research show that the average pretest before given boiled mango leaves, namely 7.233 and the average posttest score after being given boiled mango leaves was 5.257with a significant p-value = 0.000. ConclusionThere is an effect of giving boiled mango leaves on uric acid levels in menopausal elderly in PMB Ny. R Gandul Cinere Depok in 2023.
