Abstract

Calculating multiplication in Mathematics for the 5th-grade students of MIN 2 Palangka Raya only relied on the teacher's direct instruction through a series of formulas which made students feel bored, unactivated, and burdened (especially for those who are weak in memorizing the formulas). This study aims to improve the ability to calculate the multiplication of the students through the implementation of Jarimatika. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The data of the students' abilities in calculating multiplication obtained in the first cycle reached 64 or around 40.5% while it in the second cycle reached 76 or around 81%. The results showed that students' learning activities through Jarimatika method became more active. In addition, their ability to calculate multiplication was also successfully increased.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCommunity service in increasing the professionalism teachers of MIN 4 Palangkaraya in writing CAR through the Harzing Publish or Perish application. The aim was improving the professional competence of teachers in integrating teaching with assisted development by using the Harzing Publish or Perish Application to write bibliography. Thus, the results of the implementation of CAR can produce learning innovations that will be in the form of reports and converted into CAR articles so that they are ready to be published in scientific journals. The end result of this activity is that teachers can understand the classroom action research methodology. This event will be held for 1 day on Thursday June 23 2022 by scheduling 2 sessions. In the first session with training materials with PTK by resource person Dr. Eko Supraptono, M.Pd. Continue with session II with material on the Harzing Publish or Perish application by resource person Dr. Adirasa Hadi Prasetyo, M.Pd.I. This is in line with the very good response and supports this activity, as evidenced by the average percentage of the questionnaire results of 78.85 %. So, in the evaluation of this activity, it is hoped that it can be held again and carry out activities for more than 1 day. In this activity 2 articles were produced and ready to be published in related journals. Keywords: competency improvement, teacher professionalism, and written works. ABSTRAKPengabdian masyarakat ini berjudul peningkatan profesionalisme Guru MIN 4 Palangkaraya dalam menulis PTK melalui aplikasi Harzing Publish or Perish. Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam mengintegrasikan pengajaran dengan pengembangan yang dibantu dengan menggunakan Aplikasi Harzing Publish or Perish untuk menuliskan daftar Pustaka. Sehingga, hasil pelaksanaan PTK dapat menghasilkan inovasi pembelajaran akan di tulis berupa laporan dan diubah menjadi artikel PTK sehingga siap di publikasikan pada jurnal ilmiah. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru dapat memahami metodologi penelitian tindakan kelas. kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari yaitu pada Hari Kamis tanggal 23 Juni 2022 dengan menjadwalkan 2 sesi. Pada sesi pertama dengan materi pelatihan dengan PTK oleh narasumber Dr. Eko Supraptono, M.Pd. Di lanjutkan dengan sesi II dengan materi aplikasi Harzing Publish or Perish oleh narasumber Dr. Adirasa Hadi Prasetyo, M.Pd.I. Hal ini sejalan dengan respon sangat baik dan mendukung kegiatan ini, dibuktikan dengan rata-rata presentase hasil kuesioner sebesar 78.85 %. Sehingga, dalam evaluasi pada kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat tetap terselenggara kembali dan melaksanakan kegiatan lebih dari 1 hari. Pada kegiatan ini di hasilkan 2 artikel dan siap di publikasikan pada jurnal terkait.Kata kunci: peningkatan kompetensi, profesionalisme guru, dan karya tulis.

Abstract

This research examined the effectiveness of DRCOFFE in improving students’ writing. DRCOFEE is an instructional model designing to teach English writing for academic purposes by considering the existence of constructivism view. self-regulated learning and written corrective feedback method. The subjects involved in this study were 70 students of Faculty of Islam Religion. University of Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya in academic year 2021/2022. Their writing scores as the primary data in this research were analyzed through repeated measure Two-Way Anova with 2x3 Factorial Design. The research findings showed that (1) there is a significant effect from the implementation of DRCOFEE to improve students’ writing, (2) students’ written compositions based on their level of self-regulated learning (high-low) show no difference, (3) the interaction of DRCOFEE model and students’ self-regulation simultaneously gives improvement on students’ writing.

Abstract

In the digital age, where conventional methods of feedback may no longer be sufficient, e-feedback presents a modern approach that aims to provide clarity and efficiency. This study investigates the effectiveness of electronic feedback, or e-feedback, in enhancing students' writing skills. This descriptive qualitative study involved 25 students from a university in Central Kalimantan and used a diverse range of data collection methods, including open-ended and closed-ended questionnaires, observations, interviews, and analysis of student papers. Throughout ten instructional meetings, participants expressed positive feedback regarding the e-feedback method, highlighting its time-saving nature, clarity, and user-friendliness. They particularly valued the opportunity to correct their mistakes, with the use of color-coded highlights to understand different types of errors adding an engaging element to the feedback process. While the advantages of e-feedback were widely recognized, some participants noted a desire for more verbal explanations to accompany their written feedback. Overall, the findings indicate that e-feedback not only boosts students' enthusiasm and participation in writing classes but also significantly improves their writing skills.

Abstract

Given the implementation of online learning for elementary school-level children during the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers are required to: This community service activity aims to train and assist teachers in making interactive videos as presentation media for delivering teaching materials equipped with audio-visual content. The media used in the form of the Canva program, which is accessed by participants online (digital-based). To determine the achievement of this activity, data collection was carried out through two forms of instruments in the form of teacher peer assessment sheets and training participant satisfaction. The existence of peer assessment is intended to determine the enthusiasm of teachers in participating in training activities and their potential in developing digital-based teaching materials assessed from the perspective of peers. In addition, training participants' satisfaction instruments were needed to evaluate the overall implementation of activities, both from technical preparation and self-competence of the implementing team (pedagogic, professional, personality and social). The results of data processing showed that all teachers were very enthusiastic in participating in this training activity according to the assessment of their peers, and as many as 79% of participants were very satisfied with the training that had been provided. Each indicator that reflects the 4 forms of competence of the implementing team including pedagogic, professional, personality and social competencies is considered successful in achieving the objectives of this training, namely so that teachers can use presentation media equipped with audio-visual content to deliver subject matter to their students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe 1) the Implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum (KMB) in PAI Subjects in Class VII of SMPN Satu Atap-2 Tewang Sangalang Garing and 2) the Supporting and inhibiting Factors for the Implementation of KMB in PAI Learning in Class VII of SMPN Satu Atap-2 Tewang Sangalang Garing. The research method used a descriptive qualitatif approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) Implementation of KMB in PAI Class VII SMPN Satu Atap-2 Tewang Sangalang Garing is carried out with the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation.. The planning stage includes the preparation of instruments related to the analysis of learning outcomes, the formulation of learning objectives, the flow of learning objectives, diagnostic assessments, and teaching modules. PAI teacher also planned a project to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile by collaborating with other teachers to make adjustments to the project module provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture based on the needs of students, with the theme "Pelajar Berakhlak Mulia". At the implementation stage, the results of the planning instrument are applied in the beginning, core, and final activities of the PAI learning process. In the evaluation stage, the PAI teacher conducted a formative assessment of the effectiveness of KMB implementation in PAI learning; 2) Supporting Factors for the Implementation of KMB in Grade VII PAI Subjects are the motivation and guidance from the Principal who facilitates the teacher to participate in and hold training related to the Implementation of KMB. In addition, learning media such as Merdeka Curriculum textbooks, LCD projectors, Chromebooks, laptops and computers, and internet networks are provided. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors for the implementation of KMB in Grade VII PAI Subjects are that the teacher has not maximized the use of ICT and internet-based learning media

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Buzz Group Method on Students’ Critical Thinking Abilities in PAI Learning ABSTRACT The methods used in teaching Islamic Religious Education (PAI) should create critical thinking in students so they think deeply about Islam. However, PAI instruction in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Palangka Raya has still not optimally generated students' critical thinking because of the implementation of the conventional method. This study aims to examine the effect of the Buzz group discussion method to improve students’ critical thinking on PAI. This study used a quasi-experimental method with Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design involving 30 students from two different classes as the subjects. Students’ scores from the pretest and posttest became the data needed. The data was then analyzed through the Independent Sample T-test using SPPS 19. The results of the study showed that a significant effect of Buzz group implementation to improve students’ critical thinking in which t count 3.632 > t table 1.701 with the significance value 0.001 < 0.05. Hence, Ha was accepted. In addition, the students’ response questionnaire obtained an average percentage value of 71% showing that the instructional process was in the “good” category.

Abstract

Kompetensi profesional guru sangatlah penting, yang mencakup penguasaan materi pembelajaran dan kemampuan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses pengajaran. Pengembangan bahan ajar oleh guru seperti modul pembelajaran, menjadi sarana strategis yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan mendukung pembelajaran mandiri. Namun, tantangan keberagaman latar belakang siswa memerlukan pendekatan yang lebih diferensiasi dalam penyampaian materi. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) di SDI Ats-Tsiqoh Palangka Raya dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru SDI Ats-Tsiqoh Palangka Raya dengan memberikan pemahaman terhadap prosedur pengembangan modul pembelajaran dan pemanfaatan Canva untuk merancang template modul. Terdapat 10 orang guru yang terlibat dalam kegiatan berupa bimbingan teknis (bimtek) ini dengan intensitas 3 kali pertemuan berdasarkan tiga tahapan materi. Data berupa hasil angket dari penilaian rekan sejawat oleh para peserta kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta tentang prosedur pengembangan modul pembelajaran sebesar 91% dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan Canva sebesar 93% yang mengindikasi bahwa kompetensi profesional peserta mampu diperkuat. Melalui bimtek ini, para guru merasa terdorong untuk menjadi lebih adaptif dan kreatif dalam menghasilkan modul pembelajaran sesuai bidang keilmuan.

Abstract

Pentingnya penguasaan guru dalam kemampuan literasi digital di era digitalisasi sekarang menjadi suatu hal yang dibutuhkan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi dan informasi dalam dunia pendidikan. Kemampuan literasi digital bagi seorang guru diperlukan dalam proses administratif, penyusunan perangkat bahan ajar dan juga dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi digital guru PAI menggunakan Instant Digital Competence Assessment sebagai instrumen pengukur kemampuan literasi digital. Hasil penelitian kemudian dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui aspek-aspek yang belum dikuasai guru PAI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis kualitatif. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan literasi digital dan subjeknya adalah guru PAI SMP Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data yang didapat direduksi, kemudian disajikan dan dianalisis untuk dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji dengan pemeriksaan kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas dan konfirmabilitas. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa guru PAI SMP Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya memiliki kemampuan literasi digital dengan kategori baik dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) Subjek 1 menguasai 10 sub dimensi dan tidak menguasai 3 sub dimensi, (2) Subjek 2 menguasai 11 sub dimensi dan tidak menguasai 2 sub dimensi, (3) Subjek 3 menguasai 10 sub dimensi dan tidak menguasai 3 sub dimensi, dan (4) Subjek 4 menguasai 9 sub dimensi dan tidak menguasai 4 sub dimensi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan untuk subjek penelitian agar mengembangkan kemampuan literasi digital dan untuk sekolah agar ikut berkontribusi mendukung guru mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran agar tercipta kesetaraan kemampuan literasi digital.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using flipbook media in Japanese language learning, with a particular focus on the material "Hajimemashite" for grade XI students at MAN Kota Palangka Raya. Research and Development (R&D) method was used to measure the improvement of students' understanding before and after the use of flipbook. The results are clear: the flipbook media is rated as very feasible, with language, material, and media validation tests. It is clear that students' posttest results increased significantly after using the flipbook (p-value < 0.05). The student response questionnaire showed that the flipbook increased the intensity of self-study. Advertisements that appear in the flipbook application do reduce students' learning comfort. This flipbook media is effective in improving students' understanding of Japanese. However, it needs improvement in technical aspects.
