Abstract

Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah pengembangan sistem mobile robot yang dapat dikontrol secara manual oleh pengguna dengan menggunakan jaringan wifi. Sistem kendali jarak jauh dalam sistem ini digunakan agar pengguna dapat mengontrol pergerakan mobile robot sesuai dengan kebutuhannya. Secara garis besar, sistem dibagi menjadi dua bagian besar yaitu bagian server dan client. Bagian server terdiri dari program untuk komunikasi data dengan client dan perangkat keras yang terdiri dari pembuatan mekanik mobile robot dan rangkaian driver motor. Sedangkan client adalah program untuk komunikasi data dengan server yang mengirimkan perintah gerak mobile robot. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian terhadap sistem terdapat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peforma sistem. Faktor tersebut adalah spesifikasi jaringan wifi yang digunakan meliputi lebarnya bandwidth yang disediakan dan kestabilan jaringan wifi. Kestabilan jaringan wifi yang dimaksud disini adalah tidak adanya koneksi yang terputus (request timed out) pada saat komunikasi data sedang berlangsung. Penerapan sistem dapat memberikan hasil yang optimal jika jaringan wifi yang digunakan stabil dan bandwidth yang tersedia memenuhi kebutuhan sistem. Sistem yang dirancang dalam penelitian ini merupakan inisiasi dari sistem tele-helper-robot yaitu mobile robot yang diharapkan dapat membantu peran perawat di rumah sakit.

Analysis tool used to determine the stressors and stressthat and to determine the level of employee performance was range-scale analysis. To know theeffect of stressor on the job stress and its impact on employee performance was used path analysismodel. The results of the analysis indicate that stressor and stress were in high level category. Thelevel of employee performance was also in high category. The results of path analysis show that wasa significant effect between a stressor to employee?s job stress, there was also a significant effectbetween the job-stress to employees? performance. It mean that there was a significant effect betweenstressors to performance level through job stress. Based on the results, it could be suggested that thelevel of work stressors and job stress should be reduced. Giving reward would be better applied forbetter working employees, so it could motivate employees enthusiastic in their work.Keywords: Stressor, Job Stress and Job Performance

Abstract

Karang Asri Beach is a beach tour that should attract a lot of tourists to come. But the potential of the beach is not balanced with adequate beach conditions, instead, some various shortcomings or problems include the cleanliness of the beach that is not optimally managed and the condition of the beach is hot and arid. Efforts to overcome these problems are to carry out garbage clean-up activities and tree planting around the beach. This activity aims to conduct community service so that the community is aware of the importance of cleanliness and greening of the beach to develop tourism in Kendal. Clean-up activities and greening of this beach in the form of cleaning garbage and planting 40 Ketapang Trees. This activity was held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, which was attended by the Secretary of Karangmalang Wetan Village, pokdarwis and service. This activity is carried out using practical methods directly including (1) planning activities, (2) preparation of activities and (3) planting continued with beach cleaning. The results achieved in this activity are the reduced amount of garbage around the beach and the availability of Ketapang trees that serve to prevent winds that are too strong during storms, prevent the effects of waves that abrasive the beach, as a tsunami-holding wall and can improve the coastal tourism sector. To develop Kendal tourism, it is expected that similar activities are needed sustainably to create a shady, beautiful, clean and beautiful beach atmosphere that can support the comfort of tourists. Pantai Karang Asri merupakan wisata pantai yang seharusnya banyak menarik minat wisatawan untuk datang. Namun potensi pantai tersebut tidak diimbangi dengan keadaan pantai yang memadai, sebaliknya justru ditemui berbagai kekurangan atau permasalahan yang meliputi kebersihan pantai yang kurang dikelola secara optimal serta keadaan pantai yang panas dan gersang. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan melakukan kegiatan bersih-bersih sampah dan penanaman pohon di sekitar pantai. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengabdian masyarakat supaya masyarakat sadar akan pentingnya kebersihan dan penghijauan pantai untuk mengembangkan pariwisata yang ada di Kendal. Kegiatan bersih-bersih dan penghijauan pantai ini berupa membersihkan sampah dan menanam 40 Pohon Ketapang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu, 5 September 2021 yang diikuti oleh Sekretaris Desa Karangmalang Wetan, pokdarwis dan pengabdi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan menggunakan metode praktik secara langsung meliputi (1) perencanaan kegiatan, (2) persiapan kegiatan dan (3) penanaman dilanjutkan dengan bersih-bersih pantai. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah berkurangnya jumlah sampah di sekitar pantai serta tersedianya pohon Ketapang yang berfungsi untuk mencegah angin yang terlalu kuat saat badai, mencegah efek gelombang yang mengabrasi bibir pantai, sebagai tembok penahan tsunami dan dapat meningkatkan sektor wisata pantai. Dalam upaya pengembangan pariwisata Kendal diharapkan perlu diadakan kegiatan serupa secara berkelanjutan agar menciptakan suasana pantai yang rindang, asri, bersih dan indah yang dapat menunjang kenyamanan wisatawan.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of using contextual inquiry-based worksheets on the higher-order thinking skills of students in aquatic microbiology. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest measures. The research population comprised six classes, and samples were drawn from three classes determined through random sampling, namely Regular Class (A) with 40 students (application of contextual inquiry-based worksheets), Extension Class (A) with 25 students (application of Problem-Based Multimedia Pedagogy - PBMP worksheets), and Extension Class (B) with 22 students (application of conventional worksheets). Data analysis was conducted using the Anacova method with SPSS 23.00 for Windows. Data were collected through descriptive test instruments in the form of essays and questionnaires. The results of the data analysis indicated that contextual inquiry-based worksheets yielded better outcomes compared to both contextual PBMP and conventional worksheets. The mean score for higher-order thinking skills was 86.93, with a significance level of 0.034, which is less than 0.005.

Abstract

Smoking is known to have adverse effects on lung health. Study shows that regular exercise is known to improve of the respiratory system health. Sports students are a group that has physical activity and exercise that meets the physical activity standards of 150 minutes of moderate intensity of aerobics physical activity per week, but many of the students are smoker. This study aims to determine the lung capacity of sports science study program students who smoke compared to students who do not smoke. This study was a cross-sectional study in which 32 male students of sports science departement Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon with an average age of 20 ± 1.28 years, an average body weight of 56.45 ± 8.26 kg, and a height of 165.58 ± 7.15 cm, were divided into two groups namely: smoking group (n = 16), and non-smoking group (n = 16). Subjects were asked to answer a questionnaire related to smoking habits and then the lung capacity of the research sample was measured using an SP70B spirometer (Contec Medical System Co., Ltd., China). Most of the smoking group (75%) consumed 1-5 cigarettes per day, with an average of 4.73 ± 3.15 years of smoking. The results of the measurement of force vital capacity (FVC) of the smoking group amounted to 3.31 ± 0.42 L with an average predicted %FVC is 74%. While the non-smoking group had an average FVC is 3.6 ± 0.6 L with an average %FVC is 80%. The results of the paired sample test found that there was a significant difference between the FVC of subjects who smoked and those who did not smoke with a significance value of 0.000 (P <0.05). The group of smoker students actively exercised had significantly lower lung capacity values than the group of students who actively exercised but non smoker. Non-smoker students had significantly better FVC (L) than smoker students (p=0.000). Thus, smoker students but actively exercised have lung capacity values that are at risk (FVC <80%).

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa melalui pendekatan yang menyeluruh dan interaktif. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan dasar-dasar keterampilan bahasa Inggris yang meliputi kosakata, tata bahasa, percakapan, serta keterampilan mendengarkan dan menulis, yang sangat penting dalam dunia pendidikan dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan menggunakan berbagai media pembelajaran seperti permainan bahasa, materi audio-visual, serta latihan percakapan yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif berbicara dan berinteraksi dalam bahasa Inggris. Pengajaran dilakukan oleh pengajar yang berkompeten, baik dari kalangan pengajar lokal maupun relawan yang berpengalaman dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris. Selain memberikan materi pelajaran, pelatihan ini juga mencakup evaluasi dan umpan balik untuk memantau perkembangan siswa secara berkala. Melalui pelatihan ini, siswa diharapkan tidak hanya menguasai dasar bahasa Inggris, tetapi juga termotivasi untuk terus belajar bahasa Inggris sebagai bekal penting dalam menghadapi tantangan global di masa depan.

Abstract

This article discusses an online marketing training program for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who are also library users in Magelang City. The program was part of a community service initiative by Universitas Sebelas Maret in collaboration with the Library and Archives Office of Magelang City. The background of the program is the low level of digital literacy and online marketing skills among MSME actors, which limits their market reach and product competitiveness. The one-day workshop adopted a hands-on practice approach with practical materials, including basic strategies for digital marketing through social media, optimization of Instagram and WhatsApp Business platforms, and the creation of engaging and effective promotional content. A key framework introduced was the "3K" strategy: Know your market, Consistent branding, and Active communication. Evaluation results showed significant improvements in participants’ understanding and skills in digital marketing. Moreover, the training reinforced the role of public libraries as centers of productive literacy, bridging access to information with community economic empowerment. This activity demonstrates that synergy between academic institutions, local government, and MSME communities can foster inclusive training models that are responsive to the real needs of small businesses in the digital era.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of marketing communication dynamics underscores the importance of advertising effectiveness in shaping consumer attitudes and purchase decisions. This study aims to examine the contribution of endorser credibility, advertisement design appeal, and message relevance to consumers’ attitudes toward the product and purchase intention. The advertisement under investigation is “Teh Kotak Satu-satunya.” The theoretical framework is grounded in cognitive response theory, derived from the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O R) model, which positions attitude as a conceptual bridge between external stimuli and behavioral responses. Advertisement design is analyzed using Moriarty’s concept; celebrity endorser credibility is examined through Ohanian’s model; and message relevance is explained through relevance theory and the central route of the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), which emphasizes the importance of deep message processing by the audience. Employing a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis of 96 respondents who follow the Teh Kotak Instagram account, the findings indicate that the proposed PLS-SEM model of attitude and purchase decision demonstrates an acceptable model fit (SRMR = 0.085; GoF = 0.37). Endorser credibility was found to have the strongest contribution (f-square = 0.082) to product attitude, followed by message relevance (f-square = 0.049). Furthermore, product attitude significantly influenced purchase intention and acted as a mediator in the relationships between endorser credibility (p-value = 0.029) and message relevance (p-value = 0.052) and purchase intention. In contrast, advertisement design appeal only influenced general attitude toward the advertisement (p-value = 0.000) and did not contribute to product attitude or purchase intention. The findings suggest that persuasive communication strategies on Instagram for low-involvement products should prioritize communicator credibility and message relevance in order to enhance product appeal and stimulate purchase intention.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the level of interest in the Marjan Baruna Sang Penjaga Samudera advertisement regarding the elements contained in the advertisement which can influence viewers' attitudes and buying interest. To evaluate this research, the Elaboration Likelihood Model theory from Petty & Cacioppo (1986) was used. This research uses quantitative methods, with 97 research samples. The data collection technique used a questionnaire which was given to a number of respondents taken from Marjan Boudoin's YouTube comments column on the Marjan Baruna Sang Penjaga Samudera version of the advertisement. Meanwhile, to analyze the data, PLS-based SEM analysis techniques were used. The results show that the attractiveness of the advertisement influences attitudes towards the advertisement, the attractiveness of the advertisement influences attitudes towards the product, the attractiveness of the advertisement influences the interest in purchasing the product, the relevance of the advertising message does not influence attitudes towards the advertisement, the relevance of the advertising message does not influence attitudes towards the product, the relevance of the advertising message does not influence the intention to buy the product, the attitude towards the advertisement does not influence the attitude towards the product, and the attitude towards the product influences the intention to buy the product..

Abstract

Social media has significanly influenced modern beauty standards, particularly through the trend of complex skincare routines. This study investigates how the local beauty brand Somethinc, construct and normalizes the discourse of multi-step skincare through its Instagram account @somethincofficial. Using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this qualitative research analyzes 20 selected Instagram post from 2020 to 2025 and includes interviews with the brand’s production team. The results reveal that Somethinc constructs a specific standard of beauty defined as “glowing” and “healthy”, which requires a disciplined, multi-layered skincare regime. At the textual level, the brand combines scientific visual with casual language to make this routine feel necessary. At the level of discursive practice, the brand solidifies its authority through Instagram itself, integrated cross-platform distribution, influencer endorsements, and paid ads at Meta Ads. At the social cultural level, Somethinc’s discourse shifts the concept of “self-love” into “consumptive feminism”, where caring for oneself is equated with purchasing products. The study concludes that these skincare trends are note merely educational but are ideological tools that align personal care with capitalist interests.
