Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki peran penting pemain organ dalam Liturgi/Ekaristi Katolik, khususnya di Paroki St. Yosep Delitua. Pemain organ bertanggung jawab untuk menciptakan harmoni dalam perayaan ini, mempertimbangkan ritme, gaya musik, dan tempo dari lagu-lagu yang dimainkan. Organ memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mewujudkan Musik Liturgi, menciptakan atmosfer yang harmonis, dan berfungsi sebagai pelaku liturgis. Studi bertujuan untuk memahami peran pemain organ dalam mengiringi nyanyian jemaat dan mengidentifikasi tugas mereka dalam memainkan musik instrumental. Metodologi penelitian kualitatif digunakan, dengan menekankan fokus terbatas pada kemampuan teknis daripada pendidikan liturgis yang komprehensif untuk pemain organ di banyak paroki, yang mengonfirmasi pelaksanaan tugas organis yang masih belum terlaksana dengan baik dalam perayaan liturgis. Studi ini mengungkap pentingnya peran pemain organ dalam Liturgi Katolik dan mengungkapkan bagaimana pelaksanaan yang baik dan sesuai dengan peraturan didalam musik liturgi gereja katolik, khususnya di Paroki St. Yosep Delitua. Metodologi penelitian kualitatif menyoroti kebutuhan akan pendidikan liturgis yang lebih komprehensif bagi pemain organ di banyak paroki. Semua ini menegaskan pelaksanaan yang signifikan yang dimainkan oleh pemain organ dalam perayaan liturgis.

Abstract

The Sacrament of Reconciliation, central to Catholic doctrine, facilitates the restoration of relationships between the penitent, the community, and the divine. This study examines the implementation and experiences of the sacrament through the essential acts of repentance, confession, and penance, highlighting their roles in spiritual and moral transformations. Employing a qualitative approach, the research gathered data through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation at Stasi Santo Thomas Rasul Onan Rihit. The findings reveal that repentance initiates spiritual renewal while confession promotes transparency and humility, thereby strengthening communal bonds. Penance, tailored to individual transgressions, not only addresses past wrongs but also fosters spiritual growth and community harmony. Challenges remain in fully engaging penitents with the sacrament, pointing to the need for enhanced pastoral support and theological education. This study underscores the sacrament's enduring relevance and its capacity to facilitate profound spiritual life within the contemporary Catholic context.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of children's moral education by parents in Paroki Santo Yosef Delitua. The research applies descriptive qualitative method by using interview, observation and documentation by 7 (seven) rayons/areas of the Paroki Santo Yosef Delitua. The description of the implementation of moral education for children by parents at the Paroki Santo Yosef Delitua is related from several aspects. This aspect shows the implementation of children's moral education by parents. The first aspect is related to parents having an understanding and knowledge of the importance of children's moral education. Parents are the first and foremost educators of children. Thus, parents become moral role models for children. The second aspect is related to parental support to be realized in words. Furthermore, the third aspect, namely the implementation of children's moral education by parents, is reflected in daily life, namely the freedom of will, responsibility, and the linkage of moral and Christian moral norms which are manifested in everyday life. Abstract

This study explores the implementation of liturgical music norms by Catholic Youth (Orang Muda Katolik/OMK) in the St. Raphael Sub-Parish, Saitnihuta. The research aims to examine the extent to which OMK participate in liturgical music ministry in accordance with the principles established by the Catholic Church, particularly regarding the use of liturgical songs and musical instruments. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that OMK show commendable enthusiasm and active involvement in liturgical celebrations by singing hymns from official Church songbooks such as Puji Syukur and by accompanying the liturgy with instruments like guitars, cajons, and keyboards. While this reflects a genuine commitment to serve, it also exposes a lack of structured guidance and theological understanding related to the use of music in the liturgy. Many OMK rely on imitation and personal experience in selecting songs and instruments, often prioritizing the creation of a lively atmosphere rather than enhancing the sacredness of the liturgy. Moreover, the absence of traditional musical instruments and limited liturgical catechesis hinder the proper application of inculturation principles. This study underscores the urgent need for structured formation programs and official liturgical music guidelines to support OMK. With proper mentoring, the creativity and zeal of young people can be nurtured to align with the Church’s vision of sacred, beautiful, and appropriate liturgical music—thus enabling them to become true ministers of prayer who deepen the community’s encounter with the mystery of Christ.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis peran dan tanggung jawab wali baptis terhadap anak baptis serta pelaksanaan peran dan tanggung jawab walibaptis tersebut, baik sebelum, saat, maupun setelah upacara pembaptisan di Stasi Santo Rafael Saitnuhuta Paroki Santo Fidelis Dolok Sanggul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data primer diperoleh dari informan, terdiri dari wali baptis sebagai informan kunci, orang tua calon baptis, dan pastor paroki sebagai informan pendukung. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar wali baptis memiliki pemahaman yang terbatas tentang peran dan tanggung jawab mereka, yang sering kali hanya diartikan sebagai kehadiran simbolik dalam liturgi pembaptisan. Peran sebagai pendidik iman dan pendamping spiritual anak baptis belum sepenuhnya dijalankan secara konsisten setelah upacara baptisan. Meskipun sebagian wali baptis menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif dalam mendampingi anak baptis dalam kegiatan rohani, sebagian lainnya belum melanjutkan komitmen wali baptis secara nyata. Penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya peningkatan pembekalan dan edukasi terhadap wali baptis agar wali baptis dapat menjalankan peran sebagai teladan iman dan pembimbing rohani secara berkelanjutan sesuai ajaran Gereja Katolik.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis ulah kesalehan dan manfaat ulah kesalehan bagi umat dalam menghayati masa Prapaskah Di Paroki Gembala Yang Baik Lubuk Pakam. Penelitian tersebut dilaksanakan di Paroki Gemmbala yang Baik Lubuk Pakam. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Teknik penentuan informan dilakukan dengan Purposive Sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu, pertimbangan dilakukan tersebut dianggap menguasai bahan objek atau situasi penelitian. Temuan penelitian ini adalah jenis ulah kesalehan pada masa prapaskah di Paroki Gembala Yang Baik Lubuk Pakam masih belum terjalankan sepenuhnya seperti devosi jalan ibunda atau tujuh kedukaan dan tablo. Sejumlah jenis ulah kesalehan yang diikuti oleh umat pada masa prapaskah memiliki manfaat yang dapat dilihat umat ketika merasakan apa yang dialami oleh Yesus ketika sengsara dan wafat.

Abstract

The study was conducted to analyze how the shaping of honest character and the responsibility of learners in the process of Catholic High School Deli Murni, Medan. This study demonstrates that 1) learners can learn and work on tasks independently through learning videos and power points given by teachers and honest learners can be seen when they are active in the proven learning by asking, the teacher must respond in teaching, having teachers repeat the given material, 2) the responsibility of learners in learning seen through the zoom application meeting is seen as learners come into zoom meetings without being late, giving assignments on time, using modest clothing during the study and carrying out prayer switch schedules both before and after class. Implementation of the Catholic learning process in zoom meetings is seen when 3) teachers begin learning with a conception activity of opening prayer, greeting learners and missionaries to see readiness for lessons. 4) the teacher's core activity shares the material screen with learners and allows learners to ask about given material. 5) the end of the teacher's learning gives conclusions and duties to learners as reflections during the learning process.

Abstract

This research is to determine the role of parents in cultivating children's faith after receiving the sacrament of baptism at St. Peter's Station, Simpang Kuala, Medan. It can be concluded that the role of parents in Catholic families at St Peter's Simpang Kuala Medan Station is very important and varied, including education, guidance and assistance. Parents are responsible as the first educators who develop children's spirituality and teach them moral values and the five pillars of the church. They also act as guides in faith and behavior, as well as establishing rules and discipline within the family. In addition, as companions, parents engage in open communication, provide emotional support, and respect children's interests and potential. Parents also help children overcome life's challenges, shape character, and provide guidance in social interactions and decision making. Several opinions underscore the importance of supervision and being a good role model for children. In conclusion, parents have a very important role in forming character and ensuring healthy and quality growth in Catholic families.
