Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) to assess the learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesia of the students who are taught using Jigsaw model of cooperative learning and the learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesia of the students who are taught using STAD cooperative learning model. The population of this study are all the eighth grade students of St. Maria Chatolic Junior High School, Medan, which consists of three classes: Class VIII A, Class VIII B, Class VIII C. The samples choosen to use the Jigsaw cooperative learning model are determined randomly from the students of Class VIII A (31 students).The samples who will use the STAD cooperative learning model randomly coosen from the students of Class VIII C (32 students). The research instrument used to measure the learning outcomes is the multiple choice test, whereas questionaire is used to obtain the data of the motivation of the students, normality test using Liliefors test, homogenity test using Fisher and Barlett test. Data analysis technique is Anova at significance level α = 0.05, followed by Scheffe test. Kata Kunci : Model pembelajaran tipe STAD, Jigsaw, motivasi belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinestetik) terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa STAIS Tebingtinggi dalam menulis karya ilmiah. Dari keseluruhan populasi di perguruan tinggi ini ditetapkan 32mahasiswa yang dipilih secara acak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pre-test post-test design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis karya ilmiahsebelum menggunakan model VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinestetik) yang dapat meningkatan kemampuan menyusun karya ilmiahmenunjukkan hasil dengan nilai tertinggi 86 dan nilai terendah 60 yang diperoleh dari 32 mahasiswa, yang memiliki nilai rata-rata 74,41 dan berada pada kategori cukup. Kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah sesudah menggunakanmodel VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinestetik) menunjukkan hasil dengan nilai tertinggi 94 dan nilai terendah 68 dari 32 mahasiswa, yang memiliki nilai rata-rata 82,56 dan berada pada kategori baik. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinestetik) terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa STAIS Tebingtinggi dalam menulis karya ilmiah.

Abstract

The study aims to know and analyze the effects of innovative active learning methods that are effective in the most fun and Bahasa, known as the PAIKEM method, judging by learners' academic achievements. The research question is how using innovative, innovative learning methods is particularly pleasant to students' academic achievements in Catholic religious education lesson in class VIII B at a private secondary school Saint Xaverius 2, Kabanjahe. Data is collected from interviews, observation and documentation. The research key informants consist of school teachers, Catholic religious education teachers, and students themselves. An object of research as primary data of the study is the effect of Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective and Fun (PAIKEM) learning methods on the academic achievements of the students. Collected data from the fields will be analyzed using a qualitative approach to reproduce data displays and to conclude research data. To quantify the validity of data research researchers used triangulation both in techniques and sources. Research indicates that the use of PAIKEM learning method brings about a positive impact on the students' academic achievements. The challenge for now is the online study (because of the pandemics). Regardless, it is expected that both online learning and face-to-face learning will be implemented, also in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini meninjau bagaimana metodologi Discovery Learning digunakan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Kelas XI IPA di Santo Antonius Bangun Mulia Medan untuk pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik. Guru menerapkan strategi ini dengan menggabungkan sistem sosial yang inklusif dengan sintaks yang terstruktur. Prinsip reaksi, yang mencakup tiga peran utama yaitu pendamping, mentor, dan fasilitator, digunakan untuk mempraktikkan model ini. Guru berperan sebagai pendamping dengan bertindak sebagai panutan dan memberikan dukungan emosional. Untuk mendapatkan jawaban terbaik, informasi dikumpulkan dari sumber-sumber cetak dan internet dan kemudian dinilai. Siswa yang kurang terlibat diberi kesempatan untuk berpartisipasi dalam presentasi kelompok oleh guru, yang mendorong kerja sama dan keterlibatan aktif dalam percakapan. Semua siswa diikutsertakan dalam diskusi yang dipimpin oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, yang juga mengorganisir kelompok-kelompok dengan kemampuan yang beragam dan menugaskan berbagai tanggung jawab dalam presentasi kelompok. Para guru juga menawarkan berbagai sumber daya pengajaran dan media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penerapan paradigma ini. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa paradigma Discovery Learning bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan partisipasi, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi Pendidikan Agama Katolik. Paradigma ini mengintegrasikan elemen pembinaan, pendampingan dan fasilitasi yang mendukung lingkungan belajar yang berpusat pada peserta didik.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of scientific learning models as a solution to increase student learning activeness in the subject of Catholic Religious Education at Budi Murni 2 Middle School. Education is a self-development activity through a teaching and learning process that aims to increase students' knowledge, insight, and experience. However, the facts show that many students are not active in the current learning process, including in Catholic religious subjects. This research is based on observational findings which show the low activity of students in learning Catholic religion at Budi Murni 2 Middle School. The conventional learning methods currently used by teachers have not been able to activate students optimally. Therefore, the use of a scientific learning model is proposed as a solution to increase the active learning of students. The scientific learning model is a learning approach that involves students actively and creatively in the learning process. In this model, students are invited to observe, ask questions, reason, associate, and communicate the concepts or material being studied. Through this approach, students are expected to be able to develop higher-order thinking skills and have a high enthusiasm for learning. Previous research also shows that the use of scientific learning models can increase the active learning of students. In the context of Catholic Religious Education subjects, a scientific approach can help students learn religious concepts more actively and creatively. Catholic religious teachers are required to activate students by designing interesting learning, implementing collaboration, and using appropriate learning media. In the context of Budi Murni 2 Middle School, this study aims to apply a scientific learning model in learning Catholic Religious Education. The results of the research are expected to provide concrete solutions to increase the active learning of students, so as to improve the quality and quality of learning in these schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi implementasi pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab bagi peserta didik kelas V di Sekolah Dasar Santo Antonius Bangun Mulia Yayasan Perguruan Katolik Don Bosco. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab telah memberikan perubahan positif dalam sikap peserta didik, terutama dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan tekun. Dalam pembahasan, peneliti mendokumentasikan observasi dalam bentuk gambar kegiatan peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah belajar. Terdapat perubahan sikap karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik setelah mendapatkan pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Peserta didik kelas VB yang sebelumnya malas belajar dan membuat tugas, sekarang belajar untuk membuat jadwal dan mengatur waktu dengan baik. Mereka juga mampu bekerja tanpa diawasi dan berani memberikan pendapat di dalam kelas. Guru PAK juga mengajarkan kepada peserta didik untuk bertindak sesuai dengan yang diucapkan. Semua hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa-mahasiswi Sekolah Tinggi Pastoral Santo Bonaventura Keuskupan Agung Medan dan juga bagi guru dan peserta didik untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang membentuk karakter tanggung jawab di sekolah.

Abstract

Karakter disiplin peserta didik menjadi problem khusus di kelasX IPS SMA St. Antonius Bangun Mulia terutama kehadiran yangtidak tepat waktu, etika berpakaian, tidak disiplin dalammengerjakan dan mengumpulkan tugas dan sebagainya.Peneliti melakukan riset memiliki tujuan mengkaji mengenaiperan guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalammeningkatkan karakter disiplin bagi peserta didik kelas X-IPS diSMA St. Antonius Bangun Mulia. Metode yang dipakai dalamriset ini adalah kualitatif. Metode ini dipilih peneliti lebih mudahmemahami dan mendalami suatu masalah secara mendalamserta dapat menjelaskan secara detail suatu masalah yangterjadi, mulai dari mengidentifikasi masalah hingga menjelaskansolusinya. Proses pengumpulan data terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitupengamatan langsung oleh peneliti, wawancara mendalam dandokumentasi. Sasaran dari riset ini antara lain 1 guruPendidikan Agama Katolik, 1 guru sebaya, dan 6 siswa kelas XIPS.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, gurupendidikan agama Katolik telah menjalankan perannya sebagaipendidik dan pewarta melalui pembelajaran agama Katolik dikelas, berperan sebagai petugas pastoral dengan memberikanpelayanan, pendampingan, dan pendampingan kepada pesertadidik baik di dalam ataupun di luar pembelajaran agama Katolik,dimulai dengan absensi, disiplin berpakaian, danmengumpulkan waktu penugasan secara teratur. Guru matapelajaran pendidikan agama Katolik juga berperan sebagai pembimbing bagi siswa. Kedua, hasil penelitian yang diperolehmenunjukkan bahwa peserta didik mengalami peningkatankarakter disiplin, karena kehadiran guru yang konsisten dalampembelajaran, khususnya dalam meningkatkan karakterdisiplin. Kepedulian dan semangat guru menjadi prioritas utamadan memiliki peran penting di kelas maupun di sekolah. Siswamudah diarahkan jika guru ada di kelas, tetapi jika guru tidakhadir di kelas, maka situasi kelas dapat menjadi tidak tertib danakan menimbulkan kegaduhan bagi kelas lainnya.

Abstract

This research is to determine the learning creativity of students by using a synectic learning model. The location chosen by the author for this research is at SMK Graphic Bina Media Medan. This study uses a qualitative method. The data obtained from this study are in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. There were 15 informants in this study consisting of 1 school principal, 1 PAK teacher, 3 fellow teachers and 10 students. The findings of this study are that the learning creativity of students has increased by using the synectic model. This can be seen from the implementation of the 5 model requirements such as: syntax, social system, reaction principle, interactional impact and support systems as well as the implementation of 4 indicators of creativity such as: fluency of thinking, flexibility thinking, elaboration, and originality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in increasing student discipline through learning Catholic religious education at Graphic Bina Vocational High School Medan. This study uses a qualitative method. The data obtained from this study are in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. There were 3 informants in this study consisting of 1 school principal, 4 teachers including PAK teachers and 13 students. The findings of this study are that PAK teachers have carried out their role in increasing student discipline at Graphic Bina Media Medan Vocational School so that student discipline has increased through learning Catholic Religious Education.

Abstract

This thesis aims to find out the teacher's skills in class management to increase the activeness of student learning in Catholic Religious education subjects. The research method used by researchers is qualitative. Researchers used the results of observations, interviews, and documentation to observe and find out how the skills of teachers in class management increase students' active learning in Catholic Religion education at Kabanjahe 2 Catholic Senior High School. Informants in this research were Catholic religious education teachers as chritical informants, students as supporting informants, and peer teachers as additional informants. Catholic religious education teachers apply skills in classroom management where students are more active than before, starting from students who dare to ask questions, express opinions, and have group discussions. This can be seen from the average value of students' daily tests before the teacher applies skills in class management, namely 72. After the skills that the teacher makes in class management, the average value of students increases to 81 in cycle 1 and then increases again to 84 in cycle 2.
