Abstract

Regurgitation or Spitting Up is a normal thing that happens to babies, especially after breastfeeding. Regurgitation in small amounts, which is sometimes accompanied by burping, is usually nothing to worry about. However, if spitting up happens very often and in large amounts, it could be caused by giving too much milk. To overcome this, use a harder nipple and a smaller hole if the baby drinks milk from a bottle. In addition, get used to burping the baby more often during and after breastfeeding, both for babies who drink breast milk and formula milk. study aims to analyze the relationship between Pregnant Women's Knowledge Regarding Bottle Feeding on Neonatal Regurgitation Incidents at Seko Barat Health Center, North Luwu Regency. Abstract

Anemia is a medical condition in which the number of red blood cells (erythrocytes) or hemoglobin levels in the blood are below normal. The phenomenon of anemia in remote areas such as Seko Barat can be explained by several main factors. According to Guyton and Hall (2016), limited access to health services in remote areas can hinder early detection and treatment of anemia. The type of research used is a Cross Sectional Study. The population in this study were pregnant women who were able to check themselves at the Seko Balralt Health Center. The population in this study was 34 people. The sample size used in this study used a total sampling technique, namely by taking all members of the population as samples. By testing using the chi-square technique, p = 0.013 is obtained, which is smaller than α = 0.05, this means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, there is a relationship between body weight and the incidence of anemia at the Seko Barat Health Center, North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Background: Challenges in adolescent reproductive health, particularly the adolescent reproductive health triad (sexuality, HIV/AIDS, and substance abuse), are a global health concern. Traditional health education approaches are unable to address the learning preferences of Generation Z, who are digital natives. This requires culturally responsive and technology-based interventions. Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of local wisdom-based digital storytelling in improving adolescents' knowledge and attitudes towards the reproductive triad. Method: A quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design with a mixed-methods approach was used in this study. Adolescent girls were randomly assigned to either an experimental group (digital storytelling integrating Sipakatau-Sipakainge values) or a control group (conventional lecture and discussion). The study was conducted from August to September 2025 at two schools: SMP Negeri 3 Makassar and SD Pabundukan, Gowa Regency. Knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the reproductive health triad were measured using a validated questionnaire. Qualitative data was collected through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential statistics, with N-Gain scores calculated for effectiveness comparisons. Results: Digital storytelling demonstrated superior effectiveness with high N-Gain scores for HIV knowledge (0.71) and substance abuse (1.00) compared to conventional methods, which showed moderate to low scores (0.30 and 0.25). Sexuality knowledge achieved a moderate increase (0.50 vs. 0.33). Qualitative findings revealed a 76% preference for visual and interactive learning modalities. The digital approach demonstrated consistent effectiveness across all domains with no low scores, while conventional methods showed deficits in substance abuse education. Conclusion: Digital storytelling based on local wisdom significantly outperformed conventional health education in addressing adolescent reproductive health challenges among Generation Z learners.   Keywords: Adolescents; Attitudes; Digital Storytelling; Knowledge; Local Wisdom; Reproductive Health.   Pendahluan: Tantangan kesehatan reproduksi remaja, khususnya triad kesehatan reproduksi remaja (masalah seksualitas, HIV/AIDS, dan penyalahgunaan zat), menjadi perhatian kesehatan global.

Abstract

Introduction: Iron deficiency anemia remains a significant public health problem among adolescent girls due to increased iron requirements during rapid growth and menstruation. Inadequate knowledge about iron (Fe) tablet consumption contributes to low adherence to supplementation programs. School-based health promotion is considered a strategic approach to improving adolescents’ understanding and preventive behaviors. This study aimed to determine the effect of health promotion on adolescent girls’ knowledge of iron (Fe) tablet consumption at State Senior High School 2, Luwu, Indonesia. Research Methodology: A quantitative pre-experimental study using a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted from September to October 2024. A total of 46 adolescent girls were selected through total sampling. Knowledge was measured using a structured 10-item questionnaire administered before and one week after the intervention. The health promotion intervention was delivered through lectures supported by leaflet media. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to assess differences in knowledge scores before and after the intervention. Results: Before the intervention, 65.2% of respondents had poor knowledge, while 34.8% had good knowledge. After health promotion, 100% of respondents achieved good levels of knowledge. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a statistically significant improvement in knowledge scores (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with all participants demonstrating positive rank changes. Conclusion: Health promotion delivered through lectures and leaflets significantly improved adolescent girls’ knowledge of iron (Fe) tablet use. School-based educational interventions represent an effective strategy to strengthen anemia prevention programs and promote adherence to iron supplementation among adolescents.
