Abstract

An experimental study in condensation has been conducted to analyse the condensation phenomena. The enhancement heat transfer performance is as always highlighted phenomenon for being investigated. The modified surface is a common method for enhancing the performance of condensation since inducing the droplet on the surface. The droplet leads to increasing heat-transfer area, decreasing thermal resistance, and shorten the condensing cycle. The condensation by using water successfully induces droplets on the surface and enhances the heat transfer. But water and refrigerant have different fluid properties which induce different phenomena whereas refrigerant is widely used in industry. In this case, the condensation is conducted on the modified surface by using a commercial promotor to investigate the phenomena. The investigation results show that the surface tension immensely influences the condensate on the surface. Refrigerant is low surface tension fluid which leads to the difficulty of fluid for inducing droplets and almost no enhancement heat transfer performance since the results almost fitted well to Nusselt bare tube prediction around 2443-3063 W/m2 oC with subcooled temperature 2 up to 5 oC.

Abstract

Fenomena bonus demografi di Jawa Timur ditandai dengan peningkatan angka kelahiran bayi dalam tiga tahun terakhir yang mendorong munculnya peluang usaha di bidang layanan kesehatan dan relaksasi anak, salah satunya baby spa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan aset tetap berwujud guna meningkatkan produktivitas layanan pada mitra tunggal, yaitu Syafiqa Mom and Baby Kid’s Spa, yang melayani anak usia 0–12 tahun. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, diskusi partisipatif dengan mitra, inventarisasi aset tetap, pendampingan penggunaan sarana, serta evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan observasi langsung dan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kapasitas layanan sebesar 35% setelah pengadaan Nebulizer Terapi Uap Pernafasan dan Premium Baby Swimming Pool, dengan rata-rata jumlah pelanggan bulanan naik dari 40 menjadi 54 orang. Selain itu, tingkat kepuasan pelanggan meningkat sebesar 25% berdasarkan kuesioner evaluasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa optimalisasi aset tetap berwujud mampu meningkatkan kualitas layanan sekaligus pendapatan usaha, sehingga dapat memperkuat daya saing mitra dalam industri jasa baby spa.

Abstract

Most breeders used fresh green feed for theirs sheep or goat. They had not added concentrate feed because they did not know the exact dosage for processing concentrate and the feed machine's capabilities were limited. The Team has made a mixing machine and bought a grinding machine to be given for the breeders' association in Desa Tegalrejo. The Team has also trained breeders to make concentrate. The results of evaluation show that 100% of breeders strongly agree that PPM activities gave the effect of increasing competitiveness

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of acetone addition to pertalite fuel on exhaust emissions and engine performance in a 150 cc four-stroke Otto engine. Acetone was blended at 1%, 3%, and 5% concentrations and tested using a dynamometer and gas analyzer. Results showed that 3% and 5% acetone mixtures significantly improved engine power and torque, with peak output at 9000 RPM. Emission analysis revealed reduced HC levels and increased CO₂, indicating more complete combustion. However, increased CO at 5% suggests a fuel-rich mixture. The 3% blend was considered the most balanced in enhancing performance while controlling emissions. This study highlights acetone's potential as an efficient and eco-friendly fuel additive.

Abstract

The performance of automatic motorcycles is influenced by the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), particularly the roller component that regulates the transmission ratio. The use of alternative fuels such as 5% ethanol (E5) is also relevant to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. This study analyzes the effect of roller weight variation on the power and torque of a 125 cc indirect injection motorcycle fueled with E5. The independent variable is roller weight (12 g, 15 g, 18 g), while the dependent variables are power (HP) and torque, with controlled variables including motorcycle type, fuel, and dynamometer. The experiment was conducted through dynotest and analyzed descriptively. Results show that 12 g rollers provide the best initial acceleration (9.82 HP at 7500 rpm), 15 g rollers are more stable at mid–high rpm (8.57 HP at 8000 rpm), and 18 g rollers produce the highest torque (9.27 Nm at 6000 rpm).

Abstract

As the use of the KZR 150CC motorbike experiences a decrease in the torque power produced, it is necessary to make modifications to increase the torque power. This study is to analyze the effect of porting variations on the cylinder head of the Honda KZR 150CC engine using Pertalite fuel on the torque power produced. Porting modifications are carried out on the intake port channel with a diameter of 24.5 mm, 26.5 mm, and 28.5 mm and the exhaust with a diameter of 20.5 mm, 22.5 mm, 24.5 mm. Engine performance testing is carried out using a dyno test to measure torque values at various engine speeds. The test results show that each porting variation produces different torque characteristics. The standard engine has an advantage at low speeds with a peak torque of 11.66 Nm at 6520 RPM, porting 1 excels at medium speeds with a torque of 11.46 Nm at 7270 RPM, while porting 2 shows the best performance at rotations with a peak torque of 12.32 Nm at 7270 RPM. In terms of horsepower, the standard engine has an advantage at low revs with a peak torque of 10.71 HP at 6520 RPM, porting 1 excels at medium revs with a torque of 11.76 HP at 7270 RPM, while porting 2 shows the best performance at revs with a peak torque of 12.62 HP at 7270 RPM.
