Abstract

Midwifery is a problem that can be encountered during a woman's life cycle. If not handled properly, it can interfere with women's quality of life and even increase the number of maternal deaths, including primary dysmenorrhea and perineal injuries. Primary dysmenorrhea is a gynecological complaint that most often occurs in women, namely pain that occurs at the beginning of menstruation, while perineal injuries are wounds that occur during childbirth in the part between the vulva and anus. namely the use of red ginger (Zingiber officinale Var.Rosc.Rubrum). Objective: To find out the benefits of red ginger in obstetric cases Method: Literature study that describes the benefits of red ginger to obstetric cases Sample: 2 studies of red ginger in obstetric cases Results: Both studies found that red ginger is very beneficial in Obstetrics

Abstract

Many factors influence the healing of perineal wounds such as internal, external to the mother and factors from health workers. Healing efforts can be carried out by non-pharmacological methods, namely Kegel exercises, mobilization, herbal concoctions. Healing perineal wounds from the perspective of health workers such as suturing techniques. There are several techniques for sewing perineal wounds, such as interrupted, continuous, subticular. The purpose of this study was to see differences in the healing of perineal wounds in postpartum mothers using the interrupted technique and the subticular technique at the T and BPM D Clinics in Deli Serdang Regency in 2020. The design of this study was an experiment with a longitudinal time approach. Sample: All postpartum women who experienced perineal injuries at the Second Grade clinic at T and BPM D Clinics were 20 people. Results: The average perineal wound healing using the basting technique was faster healing (15.20) than the dotted technique (17.40) . The results of the bivariate analysis stated that there was no significant difference between the healing time of the perineal hecting wound with the dotted technique and basting with a value of p = 0.271 (> 0.005). Health workers should improve their ability to handle episiotomy wounds so that they heal quickly and do not get infected

Abstract

Luka adalah rusaknya integritas kulit. Untuk mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka ini dapat digunakan obat kimia secara farmakologi maupun bahan alami secara herbal. Salah satu bahan alami yang dapat digunakan adalah jahe merah yang mudah didapat dimasyarakat. Berdasarkan survey lapangan didapatkan di desa bakaran batu banyak terjadi luka yaitu baik luka akut maupun luka kronik maka solusi yang ditawarkan adalah membuat demonstrasi pembuatan air rebusan jahe merah (Gingiber Officinale Var.Rosc.Rubrum) untuk mempercepat penyembuhan luka. Tujuan: Agar masyarakat Desa Bakaran Batu mengetahui manfaatnya dan mampu secara mandiri untuk membuat air rebusan jahe merah (Gingiber Officinale Var.Rosc.Rubrum) sebagai bahan alami untuk mempercepat penyembuhan luka. Metode: Melakukan demonstrasi pembuatan air rebusan jahe merah (Gingiber Officinale Var.Rosc.Rubrum). Hasil kegiatan: Peserta pengabdian masyarakat mengetahui guna air rebusan jahe merah dan mampu membuat air rebusan jahe merah ditandai dengan peserta mampu memperagakan kembali tahap demi tahap cara pembuatan air rebusan jahe merah.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Anemia dalam kehamilan adalah kondisi ibu dengan kadar hemoglobin dibawah 11 gram% pada trimester satu dan tiga atau kadar dibawah 10,5 gram% pada trimester kedua.  Anemia meningkatkan risiko komplikasi perdarahan antepartum dan postpartum yang jika tidak tertangani dengan baik akan berakibat fatal. Metode:  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei analitik yang merupakan penelitian yang mencoba menggali bagaimana dan mengapa fenomena kesehatan itu terjadi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Bagaimana hubungan antara pengetahuan, pendidikan ibu terhadap kejadian anemi pada kehamilannya Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-Juni tahun 2023 hingga selesai. Tempat atau Lokasi penelitian di  PMB J. Manurung, A.Md., Keb Tahun 2023”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang berjumlah  30 orang d PMB J. Manurung, A.Md., Keb Tahun 2023” tehnik total sampling. Hasil : Berdasarkan tabel 4.1 menyatakan bahwa dari 30 responden, mengalami anemi ringan sebanyak 25 orang ( 83%) dan minoritas Anemi sedang sebanyak 5 orang (17%). Berdasarkan pengetahuan ibu hamil yang mengalami anemi mayoritas kurang sebanyak 16 orang ( 53%) dan minoritas berpengetahuan yang baik sebanyak 6 orang (20%). Berdasarkan Pendidikan mayoritas responden Perguruan Tinggi (40%) dan minoritas SMP sebanyak 7 orang (23%).Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan secara statistik antara pengetahuan, pendidikan dengan kejadian anemi pada ibu hamil trimester III

Abstract

Infancy is the most important phase. Toddlers who don't get good nutrition can cause growth and development disorders. Self-efficacy is the belief and ability of a mother in providing nutrition. The low self-efficacy is due to the mother's lack of knowledge, the mother is not confident in her abilities. Efforts that can be made to increase self-efficacy by using a peer education approach are carried out with peer discussions so that mothers of toddlers can share and absorb information about providing nutrition. Aim: analyzing the Effect of Peer Education on Mother's Self Efficacy in Providing Nutrition with Toddler Nutritional Status. Method: This research uses a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-experimental design, one group pre-test and post-test design. Results: Education: majority of high school 61 people (82.4%), Occupation: Majority of housewives 48 people (64.9%), self efficacy majority not good 45 people (60.8%) Conclusion: The Influence of Peer Education on Mother's Self Efficacy in Providing Nutrition with the Nutritional Status of Toddlers

Abstract

Diabetes is a carbohydrate metabolic disorder in the body caused by reduced insulin hormone from pancreatic beta cells as a result of the body's inability to respond to insulin. High glucose levels in the blood while lacking in cells can cause cells to become damaged, organ function is disrupted, resulting in injuries, kidney and retinal damage and neuropathy. Purpose: to improve the quality of life of diabetics by preventing diabetes complications Methods: Giving pre and post activity questionnaires, Providing material about diabetes and namely Demonstration of Diabetes Exercise and doing diabetes exercises once a week for 1 month at the Tiara Medistra Clinic. Results: For knowledge before giving the material the average score was 48.13 while after giving the material the average score was 68.75. For physical and psychological complaints: before the diabetes exercise the average score was 65.75 after the diabetes exercise the average score was 33.25. Conclusion: There was an increase in the quality of life of the participants after being given materials and demonstrations of diabetes exercise at the Tiara Medistra Clinic.

Abstract

Background: Perineal rupture is a rupture that occurs as a result of the process of the head exiting the birth canal. It had to be stitched and there were scars. To prevent perineal rupture, education is carried out about perineal massage for pregnant women. Objective: So that pregnant women know how to do perineal massage and are able to independently and routinely do perineal massage. Method: Pre and Post Design One Group. By providing a questionnaire to measure pregnant women's knowledge about perineal massage before the education and measuring again after the education is carried out. The service participants were pregnant women aged 34-36 weeks at PMB Mesrida Simarmata, Am Keb September-November 2022. Results: Before the education was carried out, the level of knowledge of pregnant women was only 50% who knew perineal massage well and after the education was carried out those who knew perineal massage thoroughly good 83%. Conclusion: Community service has been carried out and there has been an increase in pregnant women's knowledge about perineal massage after education about massage. Suggestion: That health workers continue to provide education on perineal massage

Abstract

Childbirth is a series of processes of expelling the fetus, placenta from the uterus to the outside world. Many complications can occur during childbirth due to various factors. HIS. Mal presentation, large fetus, KPD, narrow pelvis, and others. The efforts made are pregnancy exercises, pregnancy exercises so that the mother's body and reproductive organs become more flexible . Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of implementing pregnancy exercises on the smooth delivery process for mothers giving birth at the Serasi Clinic in 2024. Method: This research uses a survey method and a case control research design with a cross sectional design. Population: all mothers giving birth at the Serasi Clinic. Number: i as many as 35 people and with total sampling technique: 35 people. The instrument uses a questionnaire and the data analysis technique uses chi square analysis. Results: The majority of births were smooth, 27 people (77%). as many as 26 people (74%) took part in pregnancy exercise and 1 person (3%) did not take part in pregnancy exercise. Meanwhile, of the 8 people whose labor process was not smooth, 8 people (23%) did not participate in pregnancy exercises. The results of the Chi Square test by looking at the continuity correction obtained a P value of 0.000 (<0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the implementation of pregnancy exercises and the smoothness of the delivery process at the Serasi Clinic in 2024

optimal development and preventing the risk of stunting. Mother's knowledge in compiling a toddler menu is a key factor in the practice of fulfilling children's daily nutrition.Objective: To determine the influence of nutrition education on increasing maternal knowledge in the preparation of the toddler menu in the Medan Denai PKM area.Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test approaches in the intervention and control groups. The sample consisted of 100 mothers who had toddlers aged 6–24 months and were selected through purposive sampling. The intervention group received nutrition education for 3 sessions over a four-week period. Data collection was carried out through knowledge questionnaires before and after the intervention. Data analysis used paired t-test, independent t-test, and ANCOVA. Results: There was a significant increase in knowledge scores in the intervention group (p0.001), while the control group showed a non-significant increase (mean p=0.08). Bivariate and multivariate analyses showed that nutrition education had a significant effect on improving maternal knowledge, regardless of education and family income (p0.001). Conclusion: Nutrition education has been proven to be effective in increasing mothers' knowledge about the preparation of the toddler menu. It is necessary to implement nutrition education routinely in the Puskesmas and Posyandu as a preventive and promotive effort in improving the nutritional status of toddlers. Keywords: Nutrition, Knowledge, Toddler Menu
