Abstract

Remaja mengalami tantangan selama masa tatanan hidup baru (new normal) yang menuntut penyesuaian terhadap kebiasaan baru. Namun, dalam beberapa kondisi, kehidupan realita berkata lain dan tidak sesuai dengan harapan dan keinginan remaja, sehingga tidak jarang membuat remaja jatuh, terpuruk, muncul sikap pesimis dan sulit untuk bangkit kembali yang akan mempengaruhi cara berpikir, perilaku, dan aktivitas sehari-hari serta fungsi kehidupan remaja. Kondisi ini membuat remaja perlu diberi penguatan resiliensi agar remaja mampu beradaptasi dari pikiran negatif, mampu mengubah kondisi menjadi positif, sehingga remaja mempunyai motivasi dan dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang terjadi dalam dirinya. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 37 remaja binaan lembaga rumah zakat di kelurahan Rappokalling, Makassar. Psikoedukasi ini dilakukan secara offline melalui ceramah yang isinya meliputi konsep dan makna resiliensi serta cara meningkatan resiliensi, seperti dengan melakukan afirmasi diri dan penanaman nilai-nilai religius dalam diri. Selain itu, kegiatan ini didukung dengan metode sharing session tentang pengalaman remaja, evaluasi dan disertai dengan ice breaking. Psikoedukasi ini bertujuan untuk memberi penguatan tentang cara-cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan resiliensi remaja. Hasil dari pelaksanaan psikoedukasi menunjukkan respon positif dan responden merasa mendapatkan manfaat karena sesuai dengan kebutuhan remaja. Remaja juga memiliki keyakinan bahwa setiap manusia pasti mengalami ujian dalam hidupnya dan tugas manusia adalah senantiasa memohon pertolongan kepada Allah Yang Maha Kuasa.

Abstract

Adolescents tend to be attracted to groups that are particularly vulnerable to the negative psychological and behavioral outcomes of using Instagram social media. Since adolescent behavior is easily shaped by the social context in which they are located, it is likely that friends may be the key that has a strong influence on the behavioral outcomes that adolescents develop from social media use. Given the concerns about the negative consequences of using Instagram social media by teenagers, this study aims to find out how the intensity of Instagram social media use affects social comparison moderated by group competition. The research method used is quantitative research methods. The subjects in this study were adolescents with Instagram social media aged 13-17 years and domiciled in the city of Makassar (N = 334) who were obtained using a cluster random sampling technique. The research data was tested using the Moderation Regression Analysis (MRA) test with the help of the Jamovi 2.3.26 program. The measuring tools used in this study are the social comparison scale, the group competition scale and the intensity scale of social media use. The results showed that there was no significant effect between the intensity of using Instagram social media on social comparison moderated by group competition (p) of 0.704 (p > 0.05). This research offers additional insight into how it is important to understand that the behavior exhibited by adolescents is also strongly shaped by their peer environment. This means that not all adolescents will be affected by social media use to the same degree, but those who face social pressure from their peers are more susceptible to social comparisons.

Abstract

The conditions experienced by teenagers who experience their parents' divorce cause them to receive negative stigma from their environment. Thus, it can lead to a lack of subjective well-being in teenagers who experience parental divorce. One of the internal factors that has the potential to influence an individual's subjective well-being is forgiveness. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being in adolescents who experience parental divorce in Sulawesi. The subjects in this research were 388 teenagers who experienced their parents' divorce. The sampling technique in this research used accidental sampling. This research was measured using the Forgiveness and Subjective Well-Being scales. The analysis used in this research is simple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results of this research show that the significance value is p = 0.004 < 0.05, which means there is a relationship between forgiveness and subjective well-being. Meanwhile, the R Square value is 0.147, which means that there is a 2.64% contribution of forgiveness to subjective well-being in adolescents who experience parental divorce. The implications of this research provide an overview regarding forgiveness and subjective well-being in adolescents who experience parental divorce in Sulawesi.
