Abstract

Jaran Kepang dance is a Javanese art form that features horses made of woven bamboo. This dance is not only entertainment for the community, but also holds values that symbolize life in Javanese society. This research aims to reveal the meaning of ubarampe in the guyang jaran ritual performed in the art of jaran kepang. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory. The research involved the Jaran Kepang Turonggo Mudo group in Legoksari Village, Tlogomulyo District, Temanggung Regency. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data source triangulation. The results showed that, the guyang jaran ritual means bathing horses in the sendhang which starts from installing offerings to end praying together at pepundhen as a form of respect for ancestral spirits, repelling bad luck, and preserving culture. Some types of ubarampe used are tumpeng, sega kapirata, sega bakar, endhog jawa, ingkung, cambah pethek, juaddah pasar, jenang abang putih, incense, candles, cigarettes, kembang setaman, kembang durang, kembang wangi, degan ijo, and wedang 7 werna. Overall, the ubarampe in the guyang jaran ritual has the meaning of prayer requests, gratitude, and a form of harmonious relationship between humans and nature as well as a medium for the Legoksari village community and makes it integral in cultural and spiritual practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan hasil penerapan model Project Based Learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks crita cekak/cerkak kelas XI SMA LAB SCHOOL UPGRIS. Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang minatnya siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerkak berbahasa Jawa dan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai sehingga kurang antusiasnya dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Dengan demikian, rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimanakah hasil penerapan model Project Based Learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita cekak/cerkak. penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian pre-eksperimental berupa one shot case study. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, karena data yang diperoleh dihitung secara statistik, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif yaitu dengan mendiskripsikan hasil perhitungan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa purposive sampling, dan data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan cara pengambilan dokumentasi dan angket (kuisioner). Setelah dilakukannya analisis data, diperoleh analisis data diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: 1) Pada aspek pengetahuan terdapat 5 siswa dengan presentase 19% dengan kategori sangat baik. Selain itu sebanyak sebanyak 20 siswa dengan presentase 74% dengan kategori baik. Kemudian sebanyak 2 siswa dengan presentase 7% dengan kategori cukup. Dari presentase tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kategori nilai siswa pada aspek pengetahuan terbilang baik sesuai dengan pedoman penilaian yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata 80,74. 2) Pada aspek keterampilan terdapat sebanyak 4 siswa dengan presentase 15% mendapatkan nilai dengan kategori sangat baik. Selain itu sebanyak 19 siswa dengan presentase 70% memperoleh nilai dengan kategori baik. Sedangkan sebanyak 4 siswa dengan presentase 15% mendapatkan nilai dengan kategori cukup. Dari presentase tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kategori nilai siswa terbilang baik sesuai dengan pedoman penilaian yaitu dengan rata-rata sebesar 78,88. Dengan demikian penerapan model Project Based Learning pembelajaran menulis teks cerkak pada kelas XI SMA LAB SCHOOL UPGRIS dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap ketercapaian pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan media aplikasi canva dalam pembelajaran menulis teks iklan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Mataram Semarang. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi karena dikarenakan masih terdapat beberapa peserta didik yang masih sulit dalam menuangkan ide, menuangkan kreativitasnya, kurangnya kosa kata yang dimiliki serta rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik dalam menulis teks iklan menggunakan bahasa Jawa, sehingga peserta didik kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran menulis. Pada penelitian kali ini menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif, sedangkan desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimental design yang berupa one-shot case study dengan hanya melibatkan satu kelompok tanpa harus dilakukan pengambilan sampel. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner (angket) disertai dengan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1) pada uji kompetensi aspek pengetahuan diperoleh presentase 87% atau sejumlah 14 peserta didik mendapatkan nilai tuntas diatas KKM dan 2 anak atau 13% mendapatkan nilai tidak tuntas. Dari perolehan tersebut didapatkan nilai rat-rata akhir sebesar 86,25. 2) pada uji kompetensi aspek keterampilan memperoleh presentase sebesar 69% atau sejumlah 11 peserta didik mendapatkan nilai tuntas dan 31% dengan jumlah 5 anak mendapatkan nilai tidak tuntas. Dari perolahn data tersebut diperoleh nilai rata-rata akhir sebesar 86,3 pada aspek ketrampilan. Berdasrkan analisis data yang diperoleh, pembelajaran menulis teks iklan dengan media aplikasi canva memberikan pengaruh yang cukup besar terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran menulis teks iklan pada siswa kelas XI.2 SMA Mataram Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the ability to write Javanese language news using the Project Based Learning method in class VIII students of MTs AL-M'ARIF Gembong Pati. This is due to the lack of interest of students in learning to write Javanese language news and the learning method is less appropriate so that there is a lack of enthusiasm in the learning process in the classroom. Thus, the formulation of the problem in this study is how are the results of the ability to write Javanese language news using the Project Based Learning method. This study is included in pre-experimental research, namely one-shot case study. The approach used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach, the calculation of data used in the study in the form of purposive sampling, and the data obtained in this study were collected by taking documentation and questionnaires. From the percentage, it can be concluded that the category of student scores in the knowledge aspect is fairly good according to the assessment guidelines, namely with an average score of 83.78. 2) In the skills aspect, there are 11 students with a percentage of 37% in the very good category. In addition, there are 17 students with a percentage of 57% in the good category. Then as many as 2 students with a percentage of 7% with a sufficient category. From this percentage it can be concluded that the category of student scores is fairly good according to the assessment guidelines, which is an average of 84.97. Thus, the ability to write Javanese language news using the Project Based Learning method in class VIII students of MTs AL-MA'ARIF Gembong Pati can have an influence on learning achievement.

Abstract

The use of figures of speech and diction in this anthology is also an important element that makes it a work deserving of deeper study. Figures of speech are the use of the richness of language with certain varieties to achieve effects. This study aims to describe the figures of speech and diction employed in the anthology of geguritan Kawula Mung Saderma by Jadid Al Farisy. This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection techniques used are the Listening technique and the note-taking technique. The data analysis techniques used are: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study can be concluded that by studying the 6 selected geguritan, namely Jampining Ati, Sekaring Sonya, Jimat Abang Putih, Kusumaning Nagri, Lir Gumanti, Setija, from the 6 geguritan it was found that the use of figures of speech in these geguritan is diverse, including metaphor, personification, paradox and hyperbole, symbolic and repetition which strengthen the aesthetics and meaning in each verse. The diction used by the poet includes denotation, connotation, abstract words, concrete words and general words. This shows the accuracy in choosing words that reflect the depth of meaning and the strong nuances of Javanese culture. This study can be developed by analyzing other stylistic aspects, such as phonology, syntax, or discourse in Geguritan Kawula Mung Saderma.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of applying the mind mapping method in learning to write geguritan for students of class IX A at SMP Negeri 04 Bumiayu, Brebes Regency. This is motivated by the continued lack of interest among many students in learning to write geguritan, which is partly due to the limited variety of learning methods used. Therefore, the application of the mind mapping method is needed to facilitate students in participating in learning, so that later students can develop their ideas and creativity, especially when participating in learning to write geguritan. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach while the design in this study was a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-shot study involving only one group without the need for sampling. The data of this study were collected through questionnaires (questionnaires) accompanied by documentation. While the data collection techniques in this study used test and non-test techniques. The results of this study are: 1) in the knowledge aspect competency test, a percentage of 100% or a total of 24 students obtained a complete score above the KKM. From this acquisition, the final average score was 85.58. 2) in the skill aspect competency test also obtained a percentage of 92% or 22 students whose scores had reached above the KKM. From this acquisition, the final average score was 80.25 in the skill aspect. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, learning to write geguritan can provide a considerable influence on learning activities to write geguritan in class IXA SMP Negeri 04 Bumiayu Brebes Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of applying the Canva application media in learning to write advertising texts for class XI students at SMA Mataram Semarang. This is motivated by the fact that there are still some students who still have difficulty expressing ideas, expressing their creativity, lack of vocabulary and students' low understanding of writing advertising texts using Javanese, so that students are less active in learning to write. In this research, a descriptive quantitative approach was used, while the design used in this research was a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-shot case study involving only one group without having to take samples. The data obtained in this research was collected through questionnaires accompanied by documentation.The results of this research are: 1) in the knowledge aspect competency test, a percentage of 87% or 14 students got a complete score above the KKM and 2 children or 13% got an incomplete score. From these results, the final average value was 86.25. 2) in the skills aspect of the competency test, a percentage of 94% or 15 students received a complete score and 6%, with 1 child getting an incomplete score. From the data processing, a final average score of 90.5 was obtained in the skills aspect. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, learning to write advertising texts using the Canva application as a medium has quite a big influence on the learning activities of writing advertising texts for class XI.2 students at Mataram High School, Semarang.
