Abstract

Batik Indonesia has been confirmed by Unesco as a world cultural heritage and Yogyakarta was crowned as World Batik City by World Craft Council (WCC), on the 50th anniversary of the organization in Dongyang, Zhejiang Province, China, on October 18-23, 2014 This indicates that batik is worldwide. Batikpun usage rate is very high, not only the people of Indonesia but also many foreign tourists who buy batik for souvenirs even batik also has become an export product. Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) is a tourist visiting area that relies on batik as main souvenir. Production of batik in Yogyakarta is high enough to cause environmental problems, especially in the disposal of waste. The process of making this batik will harm or disrupt the natural environment around, such as plants and animals and even livestock. Environmental disturbances are based on substances or chemicals released at the end of the batik making process. By looking at these conditions began to be thought by the batik craftsmen to develop environmentally friendly batik by using natural dyes. The use of natural dyes is not so popular and still at the stage of testing, but Mrs. Rini Kartikasari and Mrs. Tanti Syarif have started introducing this product to the market. The main issue of course relates to the marketing and governance of the development of this natural dye batik. With this PPPE program can make batik natural dyes as export products or can be marketed in the areas of foreign tourists visit. At the present stage, several activities have been conducted, such as: partners and their communities have received tourism management training, upgraded showroom, and assistance for exhibition, website design and equipment introduction. Abstract

Tourism activities are very affected by the disaster, not exception in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the perpetra-tors of tourism is devastated by the eruption of Mount Merapi. When Mount Merapi erupts, the number of tourist visits in Yogyakarta drops dramatically to 80% (BPS DIY, 2012). Similarly, it happened in Sleman regency, one of the regencies located in the north of the Special Province of Yogyakarta which is an area with many interesting objects and tourist attraction (ODTW). The impact of this eruption is hitting both the government and Sleman communities especially those directly affected by the impact of the disaster. Although now the eruption is over but still leaves the problem, whether it is a socio-economic problem in the vicinity of Mount Merapi and tourism itself. After conducive situation, local government also can not do the maximum. The availability of human resources (HR) to manage these newly emerging disasters is also not available. It also gives the impression that between the ranks of local government and village government there is no coordination. After the issuance of a letter from the Sleman Regent then the Umbulharjo Village Government was given the authority to manage the Merapi volcano tour area. Through the village regulations finally formed the team of volcano area tour manager of Merapi. The performance of this team after working for 3 (three) years is still not optimal, after through the pre-survey and direct observation to the location it can be seen that the main problem now related to the institutional and human resources supporters. In connection with the above, it is necessary to have community service activities to assist the institutional arrangement and improvement of human resources competence of the manager. Activities that have been carried out include the fulfillment of minimal requirements for secretarial office, nameplate and brochures for the purpose of the existence of organization and tourism services, the preparation of strategic plan documents (renstra) that can be used as a reference for the preparation of work programs, organizational structure and job descriptions that can be used all members to work directed and appropriate field of duty, and websites that can be used for service and tourism promotion. After this community service program ends, most of Merapi volcano tour managers are able to manage the organization and mobilize resources effectively. Keywords: institutional, human resources, volcano tour of Merapi.

Abstract

Collaborative Governance conducted by five stakeholders (City Government, Corporations, Campuses, Communities, and Villages) in an effort to reduce poverty in Yogyakarta City. This study uses a collaborative governance theory approach which is seen from the aspects of empowering micro and small economies, improving welfare and empowering the environment through CSR (corporate social responsibility). In researching the Yogyakarta City Handling and Collaboration program researchers used qualitative methods. The results showed that the collaborative governance carried out had a positive impact on the economy of the people of Yogyakarta City. The Handling and Carrying Program has provided employment certainty, the community is equipped (soft skills and hard skills) and the community's economy is improving well. But in addition to the many benefits from the presence of the Gandeng Gendong program there are also weaknesses of the stakeholders, namely the lack of program socialization, training and empowerment, so that the effect of the worsening of the program implementation can not be said to be the maximum presence of the Gandeng Gendong program to the economy of the people of Yogyakarta City.

The purpose of this study was to find out how the form of community participation in mitigating fires in the Malay Village, Central Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques in this study, researchers used documentation study techniques, guided interviews and direct observation from the field. The data analysis technique that will be used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the presence of the self-help Fire Brigade (BPK) has become the identity of the city both at the national and international levels, as a city of a thousand rivers and a city of a thousand firefighters. Community participation is quite diverse and very innovative in reducing the risk of residential fire disasters in Malay sub-districts. Interestingly, the presence of the self-help Fire Brigade (BPK) is unpaid, the members on duty do not get a salary in carrying out this humanitarian task, their participation is sincere and voluntary.
