Abstract

Health-related infection (HAI) is a major problem facing hospitals affecting patients as well as healthcare workers around the world. There have not been many published systematic reviews on the implementation of infection prevention and control programs. The aim of this systematic review is to analyze the implementation of infection prevention and control programs in medical personnel. The research phase begins with the formulation of a research question (RQ) and data collection begins with a search for research with qualitative methods at Pubmed, Science Direct, Proquest, GARUDA and Google Scholar on "infection prevention and control", "IPC management", and "the implementation process. IPC "for health personnel, published between January 2015 and June 2020. A total of 106 publications were taken, method and abstract screening were conducted (n = 106), research was issued (n = 91), full text reviewed (n = 14) , articles that issue n = 0). Synthesized article (n = 14). Based on the maipcng results of 14 articles regarding the implementation of infection prevention and control programs for medical personnel, they are grouped into research focus and paper type categories. Gaps were identified related to lack of knowledge, awareness and commitment to the importance of IPC during health service delivery. Management needs to provide support with training, funding for the IPC program so that it supports infrastructure. Human resource factors and other supporting factors contribute to the implementation of IPC so as to reduce the incidence of infection

Abstract

Vaccination programs are one of the most cost-effective and efficient medical therapies in history. This study aims to elicit an immune response after the COVID-19 vaccination and the occurrence of herd immunity. This research is a literature review research by conducting journal searches carried out with the keys: immune response to Covid 19, Covid 19 Vaccination and Herd Immunity. Articles are collected using search engines such as google pubmed, schooler, EBSCO, Sciencedirect, and Proquest. The criteria for the articles used are those published in 2020 – 20232. The Covid 19 virus is a member of the Sarbecovirus subgenus and is distinguished by a stick-shaped spike protein that protrudes from the virion's surface. Global immunization initiatives boost immune systems. Immune cells and proteins that circulate in the body have the ability to  provide protection from illness. Prior to immunization, antibodies from patients who had already been exposed to the virus resembled those produced following the first vaccination in healthy individuals. In people who were previously infected after the first vaccination, the level is the same as in people who were not infected after the second vaccination, booster administration has been shown to increase immunity with a 1.5 to 2-fold increase in titers and herd immunity is the only way to end the Covid 19 pandemic.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is still a health problem globally, including in Indonesia. Geographical and climatic conditions in coastal areas are different from other areas, which may impact differences in environmental risk factors for dengue. This study aims to create a prediction model for the incidence of DHF in coastal areas. The research was conducted in Bantul Regency, Indonesia, involving data from 2015-2019. Dengue incidence data were collected from the health office. Climatic data were from climatology station. Data on altitude and shoreline distance were obtained by geographic information system (GIS) processing. Population density and wide settlement area are obtained from the Bureau of Statistics. The geographically weighted regression (GWR) analysis was carried out using GWR4. The results showed that GWR with a weighting of Fixed Bi-Square Kernel obtained an R2 value of 0.7768, better than the global model (R2 0.5254). It indicates that DHF (Y) in Bantul Regency is 77.68% determined by population density (X1), altitude (X2), settlement area (X3), shoreline distance (X4) and rainfall (X5) and the remaining 22.32% are influenced by other variables which are not investigated. Geographically, the predictor variables explain the DHF incidence with a strong category in the central region, and weak in coastal area.

Abstract

Islamic hospitals aim to integrate religious values with healthcare delivery, ensuring services align with both medical standards and Shariah principles. The study analyzes the impact of Islamic service dimensions on inpatient satisfaction at Unimus Hospital, focusing on compliance, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles, using SERVQUAL, CARTER, and PAKSERV models. A mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design was applied, integrating quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative phase involved a cross-sectional survey of 94 inpatients, selected through total sampling, using a structured questionnaire validated through instrument testing, including Pearson correlation for validity and Cronbach’s alpha (≥0.6) for reliability. The qualitative phase employed purposive sampling, engaging six key informants through semi-structured interviews to explore patient experiences and service challenges. Data analysis included descriptive statistics for quantitative findings, while Miles and Huberman’s interactive model was applied for qualitative data. Methodological and data triangulation ensured validity by integrating multiple data sources and analytical methods. Findings indicated that 88.5% of patients reported high satisfaction, yet 1.06% expressed dissatisfaction regarding compliance, reliability, and responsiveness, citing delays in medical services, inconsistencies in religious support, and limited implementation of Shariah-based healthcare protocols. Strengthening staff training, religious service consistency, and hospital infrastructure could enhance patient trust and satisfaction. The study contributes empirical insights for Islamic healthcare management, supporting policy refinement and service improvements in faith-based hospitals.
