Abstract

One area of guidance and counseling services are personal-social counseling. Forms of personal-social services in schools in general have a lot we find in some references. Therefore in this article suggests a form other than the personal social services in general, specifically the authors also propose forms of personal-social counseling services from the perspective of Alfred Adler, because the theory of individual psychology Adler in a great deal about personal and social competence, where a kegiataan humanity each individual views of the development of social concerns. Here the authors see that in giving personal-social counseling services, an alternative that can be used is the Adler thinking about a personal relationship with a healthy sense of social sensitivity owned, that social care is a benchmark in assessing the whole person. Departing from the concept, the authors look at how the formation of personal and social competence according to Adler, Adler thought relevance with personal-social counseling, and an implementation of Adlerian-School Counseling in schools that tend to drive the adaptive behavior of students in order to meet their needsand help students develop skills socializing in the school environment.

Abstract

This study is purposed for guiding students to use their smartphone appropriately and opportunely through School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPB). Location of this research was at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta which used Classroom Action Research and Spiral Self-Reflective as its design. The research process was undertaken within 2 cycles where each cycle consists of the planning phase, action phase, and reflection phase. Group counseling and individual counseling were applied as the form of SWPB in which students who received these services were selected purposively. All data collected through observation, questionnaire, and interview. Respondents participated cooperatively during counseling service sessions; as a result, they can manage their selves to not use smartphone unless it is necessary for learning resource and assignment in the classroom.

Abstract

This research aimed to understand the interpretation of surah al-Quran related to musyawarah as problem solving and how to apply the surah interpretation as resource for counselors and counselees to communicate each other. Librabry technique method was used to find, analyse, and understand the relevant surah and ayah. The Book of Tafsir al-Misbah by Professor M. Quraish Shihab used as the main resource and The Meaning of The Glorious Quran Text, Translation & Commentry by Yusuf Abdullah Ali as the secondary resource. Meanwhile the Book of Fathul al-Rahman used to discover various ayah mentioning and talking about musyawarah. The concept of musyawarah at least found in two surah of al-Quran, first is surah asy-Syuraa: 38 and second is surah Al ‘Imran: 159. These two surah have a time contextuality to use as a counseling skill and a relationship form of counseling. Musyawarah can be be part of counseling service as the helping relationship and the helping profession. Through interpreting the surah, the whole understanding could be concluded that musyawarah is a deliberative method to solve people’s problem. The best result of doing musyawarah can be created because people who do musyawarah will choose a good communication, meekly talk, not egoistic, willing to apologize each other, open minded, and asking maghfira and forgiveness from Allah.

Abstract

Orang tua dan guru belum banyak menyadari bahwa “perilaku nakal” anak usia sekolah dasar sebenarnya juga merupakan perilaku perundungan. Melihat hal tersebut masih terjadi dan kurang mendapatkan perhatian atau penanganan serius terhadap perilaku kekerasan di sekolah dasar, maka penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidenti­fikasi pelaku, korban, dan bentuk kekerasan, menjelaskan perbedaan perilaku kekerasan antara siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan; antara siswa kelas rendah dan siswa kelas tinggi; menemukan faktor penyebabnya; dan bagaimana peran guru secara preventif dan kuratif terhadap perilaku kekerasan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain mixed-method berurutan (kuantitatif→kualitatif), jumlah sampel 142 siswa yang didapatkan dengan cluster sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 62.761% siswa pernah melakukan tindak kekerasan dan terdapat perbedaan perilaku kekerasan antara siswa kelas rendah dengan siswa kelas tinggi (P value 0.930 > 0.05), juga perbedaan antara siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan (P value 0.930 > 0.05). Faktor penyebab perilaku kekerasan bukan hanya keluarga dan lingkungan sekolah, namun juga diri sendiri, di mana para guru sudah melakukan upaya preventif dan kuratif terhadap perundungan berbasis nuansa sekolah.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling program accountability faces growing demands about the extent to which the work of counselors in guidance and counseling services programs makes significant, measurable changes in students' lives, their contribution to student success and the improvement of school quality. Counselors are encouraged to work within an accountability framework together with other educators to prove that the counseling program is accountable and effective in the overall students learning process. This paper addresses the issues and challenges of results-based accountability by covering the discussion of the level of accountability level, ways of measuring key data, critical tools of accountability, analyzing critical data elements, and measurement for systemic change.

Abstract

Reverence, also known as ta’dzim in Pondok Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), is a moral aspect which is taught to santri (students in Islamic boarding schools) as the most important value. Ta’dzim is delivered as an ethic, develops as a value, and grows to be part of a santri’s personality and standard behavior. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable Santri Reverence Morals Scale (SRMS) through the Rasch Model analysis. The scale was supervised under an expert judgement evaluation which was involved 7 experts and distributed to 95 participants (male santri aged between 13-23 years) who were selected through stratified random sampling. The Rasch Model analyzed output and the interpretation included data about instrument, items, and person. This study indicated that the Santri Reverence Morals Scale is very reliable, predominantly fits items, and is unidimensionally proven. In this paper, such shortcomings as hard items, misfit items, and bias items are also discussed and evaluated. The composite analysis of instrument, items, and abilities concluded that the SRMS is a questionnaire with high reliability and validity (the item separation value is 3.40 and Cronbach alpha score is 0.82). This initial instrument testing stage requires further development so that a high-quality questionnaire can be produced to measure and study the ta’dzim of santri.

Abstract

Anak-anak usia dini terutama pada usia 4 hingga 6 tahun umumnya sudah mulai dikenalkan pada pendidikan formal dan non formal, salah satunya ialah pendidikan di pesantren. Pesantren dipilih oleh orang tua agar anak dapat belajar pengetahuan agama dan pengetahuan umum, serta pembentukan kemandirian dan kedisiplinan yang diharapkan orang tua. Pada santri usia dini, fase perkembangan psikoseksual yang dilalui diantaranya adalah fase falik dan laten. Dua fase krusial yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kepribadian anak pada masa mendatang. Pada fase falik kepuasan terletak di daerah kemaluan yang normalnya akan mmebentuk identitas dan orientasi seksual anak. Sementara pada fase laten kepuasan terletak pada aspek kognitif dan interaksi sosial yang terealisasi melalui keterbukaan diri untuk berinteraksi dan bersosialiasi dengan lingkungan secara baik.  Kehadiran orang tua sangat dibutuhkan oleh santri untuk bisa melewati fase falik dan laten dengan baik dan menyelesaikan konflik pada dua fase tersebut. Maka dari itu, meski pesantren memiliki tradisi yang kuat dalam pendidikan agama, namun orang tua tetap memiliki tanggung jawab utama dalam pendidikan dan pembimbingan anak-anak mereka.[Children especially at age 4 untill 6 years old have been introduced to formal and non-formal education where pesantren (islamic boarding school) is one of the most popular educatonal institutions in Indonesia. Commonly, pesantren is chosen by parents for their childs’ education to learn both religious and modern knowledge. Furthermore, pesantren education will form students’ independence. During their early-age development phase, santri (students who learn in pesantren) is remain similar to other children who experience psychosexual development; the two crucial stages are phallic and latent stage. Those periods would significantly affect santri’s personality. The phallic stage is closely corresponded to genitalia as the specific erotogenic zone. Normally this stage is related to sexual identity and sexual orientation. Meanwhile, latent period is a time of childs’ exploration into intellectual pursuits and social interactions, it is realized through self-disclosure towards interaction and adaptive socialization with their circumstances. On the other hand, parents are the important figure for children since they need to adapt to their psychosexual development phase including how to resolve several conflicts which may be dealed with them. Therefore, even though pesantren has a strong tradition in religious education, parents steady have main responsibility of their childs’ education and guidance].
