Abstract

The study aimed to conduct a Rasch analysis of the Edward Personality Preferences Schedule (EPPS)  to evaluate and enhance the instrument's precision. Responses of 3.125 students in West Java, Indonesia, were subjected to Rasch analysis using the partial credit Rasch model. The Initial analysis supported the use of the Rasch model, and acceptable reliability (person separation index= 0.82) was observed. By creating super-items, a local dependency between items increased model fit, reliability (person separation index =0.85), and unidimensionality. Infit and outfit statistics for all items satisfied the criterion for construct validity. Almost all items except (17, 97, 126) had suitable point-measurement correlation, reflecting content validity. Item characteristic curves indicated that What evenly distributed roughly 225 items along the person ability continuum. The modified EPPS showed excellent reliability for a measure in assessing the overall potential ability of the students. The item would be added related to the person ability estimates. And Who should omit several items to ensure construct validity.

Abstract

Artikel ini diarahkan untuk menjawab tiga permasalahan, yaitu pengertian, unsur dan kegunaan pembelajaran visual ekspresif dalam program pendidikan inklusif yang berdasarkan hasil studi pustaka tentang Dalam mengkaji tiga persoalan tersebut, penulis menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dari beberapa sumber yang merupakan hasil penelitian baik dari buku teks, jurnal maupun artikel, melalui tahapan: 1) Menelaah karya-karya ilmiah hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang terkait. 2) Mengklasifikasikan atau mengelompokkan konsep-konsep terhadap bahan-bahan bacaan. 3) Mendeskripsikan ulang dalam bentuk analisis terhadap karya ilmiah sebelumnya yang relevan 4) Menyajikan dalam bentuk tabel atau matriks 5) Mengambil saripati. Kegunaan Temuan penelitian ini adalah model hipotetik tentang pembelajaran seni rupa visual ekspresif dalam program pendidikan inklusif, yaitu siswa regular dan siswa disabilitas belajar bersama, berekspresi, berkreasi, berapresiasi dan memiliki makna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tidak hanya dalam bentuk pengetahuan (konsepsi) dan keterampilan (ekspresi), melainkan memiliki makna yang dalam berupa sikap (apresiasi).

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is meta-analysis research that tries to collect several correlational studies related to Creativity and Achievement or academic achievement through several indexed international journals. The purpose of this study was to see how creative ability influences students' academic achievement at the level of education from elementary school to university level. This study used correlational statistical techniques and found an r-value of 0.305 and a p-value of p = . 001. From the results above that p-value 0.05, it can be concluded that the results of the meta-analysis failed to reject the null hypothesis (H0). However, with a value of r=0.305, it can be said that this has a weak correlation or it can be concluded that creativity and academic achievement are not significantly correlated. This is because there are several influencing factors, such as age, teaching methods, and assignments. Keywords : Meta Analysis, Creativity, Achievement ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian meta analisis yang mencoba untuk mengumpulkan beberapa penelitian korelasional yang berkaitan dengan Kreativitas dan Achievement atau prestasi akademik melalui beberapa jurnal internasional yang sudah terindeks. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat seberapa pengaruh kemampuan kreatif terhadap prestasi akademik siswa pada tingkat pendidikan dari jenjang sekolah dasar hingga perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik statistik korelasional dan menemukan nilai r sebesar 0,305 dan nilai p sebesar p = . 001. Dari hasil di atas bahwasannya p value 0,05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil meta analisis gagal menolak hipotesis nol (H0). Namun dengan nilai r=0.305 dapat dikatakan bahwa ini memiliki korelasi yang lemah atau dapat disimpulkan bahwa kreativitas dan prestasi akademik tidak berkorelasi secara signifikan. Hal ini disebabkan karena ada beberapa faktor yang mempengatuhi, seperti usia, metode pengajaran dan penugasan. Kata Kunci : Meta Analisis, Kreativitas, Achievement

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya sikap disiplin siswa selama pelaksanakan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) di masa pandemic covid 19. Berbagai fenomena dan dinamika setelah delapan belas bulan melaksanakan proses Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) terjadi rasa bosan untuk belajar, ancaman putus sekolah, ancaman lose learning, terganggunya kondisi psikologis pada peserta didik sehingga berpengaruh pada rendahnya sikap disiplin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat sikap disiplin peserta didik dan menguji apakah terdapat perbedaan antara sikap disiplin peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 87 peserta didik laki-laki dan 110 peserta didik perempuan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen sikap disiplin. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriftip dan uji t independen samples menggunakan aplikasi JASP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat sikap disiplin berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sikap disiplin peserta didik laki-laki-laki dan perempuan.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an instrument that will be used to measure the grit of senior high school students. This quantitative study involved 601 senior high school students in Bangka Belitung. Based on an analysis of the relevant literature, this study developed 24 items that collectively described grit. Data was collected using a grit scale and analyzed using the Rasch model. The results show that 1) Cronbach's alpha value is 0.91 which means the interaction between item and person is in the very good category, 2) the item reliability coefficient is 0.97 where the item belongs to the special category, and 3) the person reliability coefficient is 0.87 which means that students respond consistently to each item. Based on the results above, we can see that 23 valid items and the other is invalid. Overall, it can be concluded that the grit scale has good psychometric properties, and it can be used by counselors or counseling guidance teachers to measure students' grit.

Abstract

The description of academic stress and tendencies of using coping strategies in the gifted students. This study aims to describe the general conception of an academic stress of gifted students, tendencies of coping strategies they use, and to plan an appropriate guidance and counseling program to manage an academic stress of gifted students. This study used a descriptive method with nonprobability sampling technique and specifically took the sample by using purposive sampling. The sample is collected from gifted students of tenth-graders at SMA Negeri 4 Bandung year 2015/2016. The result showed that academic stress of gifted students is in the medium category with a percentage of 76.92. On the other hand, the tendencies of the gifted students on using coping strategies showed that the students tend to use Emotion Focused Coping, with a percentage of 53.84%. This shows that gifted students need a special attention on how to cope with problems so that it does not result in a negative way. Therefore, an appropriate service that is suitable for the needs of gifted students is required. The recommendation from this study is addressed to the school’s guidance and counseling committee, teachers, and other researchers.

Abstract

PROFIL OF PEDAGOGIC AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS IN BANDUNG CITY. This study aims to get a profile and description of pedagogic and professional competencies of guidance and counseling teachers (counselor) in Bandung. The research used the quantitative approach with survey methods. The population of this research is 127 counselors of the senior high school in Bandung. The Instrument was the development of Permendiknas No. 27 Tahun 2008 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Counselor Competencies with ten aspects related to pedagogic and professional competencies. Data analysis techniques in this research are descriptive analysis techniques. The result of the research shows that the profile of counselors is in the competent category but in several aspects need some developed. The result of the research can be used as a need assessment for supervisor in understanding counselors competencies so that it can be used as a basis to provide guidance and counseling services effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

COMMUNICATION APPREHENSION TENDENCY ON STUDENTS GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING AT INDONESIA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION. Adequate competence in communicating without experiencing communication apprehension is very needful for the student to be able to communicate effectively, and achieve success in academic or career in the future. Communication apprehension would affect negatively in life. This study aims to determine the description of communication apprehension tendency of student guidance and counseling at the Indonesia University of Education. Respondent in this study is student guidance and counseling 2nd grade at the Indonesia University of Education in aggregate 33 students. The data collection process is through instruments with the Personal Report of Communication Apprehension (PRCA-24). The approach used is quantitative with descriptive research methods. The results of the study describe the percentage of achievement scores of students’ communication apprehension tendencies in the moderate category is amount to 23 students, 2) students guidance and counseling experience high communication apprehension in the interpersonal conversation context.

Abstract

PROFILE OF HARDINESS PERSONALITY OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING TEACHERS IN BANDUNG CITY. The aims of this study were to determine personality hardiness of guidance and counseling teachers (school counselors) in Bandung City. Paricipants were two people of guidance and counseling teachers in Bandung City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative manifold generate descriptive data to describe the behavior of the subject under study. Then the presence of investigators in this study serves as primary research tool. Data collection techniques in this study using the method of interviews. Data analyzed in this study using qualitative data analysis. Validity test in this study using data triangulation technique. The results showed that guidance and counseling teacher has a personality of hardiness that is characterized by its commitment to still be guidance and counseling teacher in the times and increasingly complex problems that exist, can control unexpected situations, and responding to any incident in his work is not considered as threat.

Abstract

SOCIO-EMOTIONAL COMPETENCIES OF STUDENTS IN THE INCLUSIVE EDUCATION SETTING. The study aims to know the level of emotional-social competencies of gifted students and their implications for the program of appropriate personal-social guidance services to help gifted students improve emotional-social competence. Descriptive research methods were chosen to provide an overview of the phenomena that occur in the field. The research was carried out at Bandung Public High School 4 with the first high school background to carry out inclusive education. The sampling process is done by purposive sampling approach, with the meaning of the sample in the study selected based on predetermined criteria, namely based on the level of intelligence, creativity, and endurance of students who are above the average ability of students in general. The number of samples involved in the study amounted to 39 gifted students of class X in the academic year 2015/2016. Research to measure students' emotional-social competencies in addition to involving personal assessment, also involves peers and teachers who know gifted students. The results showed that the social-emotional competencies of gifted students were generally at the level of competency or were on average abilities based on personal, peer, and teacher ratings. Also, the results of the research were used as the basis for the preparation of a personal social program. The results of the program validation test show that the design of the program is considered feasible to implement.
