Abstract

Sistem surveilans HIV di Kabupaten Blitar masih memerlukan perbaikan dalam pengumpulan data, analisis, ketersediaan pedoman surveilans HIV, dan perlunya peningkatan pengetahuan petugas terkait surveilans HIV.Kata Kunci: Surveilans, HIV/AIDS, Komponen, Sistem, PuskesmasCases of HIV/AIDS are found in almost all countries in the world, including Indonesia. There is a need for routine surveillance activities to record and report so that it can monitor the number of cases in a certain period of time. HIV surveillance is an effective way to control the spread of HIV/AIDS cases. The purpose of the study: to provide an overview of the evaluation of the HIV surveillance system based on the components of the surveillance system and attributes at the Puskesmas in the working area of the Blitar District Health Office. Research method: this type of research was a qualitative research with an evaluation study design. Data was collected by interviewing HIV surveillance officers at the Blitar District Health Office and 24 Puskesmas using a questionnaire. The results of the study: based on the components of the surveillance system, 53.4% of HIV surveillance officers had a D-III Nursing education level and 6.7% were D-I Nursing. Collection, filling out forms and reporting flow are considered easy, but there are still 66.7% late in the process of inputting data to the SIHA application. The analysis process is only carried out at the Health Office level, while at the Puskesmas level it is not. The HIV surveillance system in Blitar Regency still needs improvements in data collection, analysis, availability of HIV surveillance guidelines, and the need to increase staff knowledge regarding HIV surveillance. Keywords: Surveillance, HIV/AIDS, Components, Systems, Puskesmas

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) was still a global challenge in the world of health and required special attention to increase the level of patient compliance with treatment. This study aimed to explore the relationship between patient knowledge, attitudes, and actions and the level of adherence to taking medication in TB patients at the Pulmonary Polyclinic of Subulussalam City Hospital. The study used an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research population involved all TB patients undergoing treatment at Subulussalam City Hospital, with a sample of 76 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected through interviews using the MMAS-8 questionnaire, and data analysis was carried out using the chi-square test. The majority of respondents showed a high level of knowledge (47.37%), poor attitudes (59.21%), and good actions (64.47%), but the level of compliance was low (46.05%). Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.000), attitudes (p=0.014), and actions (p=0.010) with the level of adherence to taking medication. The knowledge, attitudes, and actions of TB patients at the Lung Polyclinic of Subulussalam City Hospital had a significant effect on their level of compliance in taking medication. Efforts were needed to increase patient understanding and special approaches to increase compliance to support the success of TB therapy.

Abstract

Toddler immunization is an important effort to prevent infectious diseases and improve children’s health. However, immunization coverage in Tenom District is still low, at 25.6%. This study aims to analyze toddler immunization behavior based on the Theory Planned Behavior (TPB). The method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional survey design, involving 180 respondents from 18 villages selected by cluster random sampling. Inclusion criteria include mothers with toddlers aged 0-5 years, living in the Teunom health center area, being able to speak Indonesian, not using a caregiver, and willing to be respondents. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and direct observation of toddler KIA books. Data analysis using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed that bivariately there was a significant influence between attitude (OR = 2.128; P = 0.017), perceived behavioral control (OR = 2.577; P = 0.003), and intention (OR = 2.652; P = 0.002) on the type of immunization. However, subjective norms had no effect (OR = 1.706; P = 0.094). Multivariately, the intention variable became dominant with OR 2.241 and P = 0.019, indicating that respondents with bad intentions were twice as likely to not receive complete immunization. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between attitude, perceived behavioral control and intention towards the type of immunization in toddlers. While there is no relationship between subjective norms and the type of immunization in toddlers.

Abstract

Children born to mothers living around gold mines are at risk of mercury exposure (Hg) and can cause developmental disorders. These developmental disorders can be detected early through stress oxidation mechanisms based on Hg toxicity that directly harm brain cells. It can be detected early on from the level of DNA damage, which is malondialdehyde (MDA) in the urine. Examining children's MDA urine levels near gold mines is the aim of this study. The Observational Research Method performs measurement of MDA of baby urine with TBARS examination of 16 babies in the age range of 2-14 weeks babies who live around the gold mining village Kalirejo Prefecture Kokap district of Kulon Progo Yogyakarta. The result was a rate of 3.23 μmol/L of MDA in baby urine, which is above the normal level of 1.03 μMol/L. So it can be concluded that the high level of MDI in the baby's urine is an early indication of a child's developmental disorder living around the gold mining.
