Abstract

Knowledge Management (KM) is an approach to understand how the known processes are created, used, and shared to enhance academic productivity. This study aims to determine the system of implementation of KM in Islamic higher education, having the work unit status of non-tax state revenue (Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak/PNBP) and public service agency (Badan Layanan Umum/BLU) and applying remuneration. This study utilizes a qualitative method with the phenomenological approach. Data collection take through observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and focus group discussions. The implementation of KM is with the result of academic knowledge from research products and research schemes of educational staffs, saving knowledge storage on the database through electronic and printed forms, and the knowledge taking a distribution on through printed and electronic forms which are referencing lecture notes and oral sources such as scientific consortium and lecturing. The successful implementation of KM requires support by stakeholder policies in educational institutions. The research findings present an overview of the implementation design of KM that can be used as a platform by scholars and stakeholders in educational institutions to increase knowledge productivity.

Abstract

Islamic education must have an active role in maintaining the nation's generation that has morals and ethics and adheres to the teachings of Islam of course. The phenomenon in the current era is that many young people deviate from Islamic morals and ethics. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the concept of morals and ethics in Islam, the importance of moral and ethical integration in Islamic education and finally the implementation of moral and ethical integration in Islamic education. This writing method uses Library Resarch by collecting various sources of books, articles or other related sources. after that it will be analyzed descriptively and associated with the existing discussion topics. The concept of morals and ethics in Islam is an important aspect in the life of a Muslim. Integrating morals and ethics in Islamic education is very important because it will direct a learner in the intelligence of life and behavior. In addition, there are many positive impacts that a learner gets in running his life. Having a sense of responsibility, good character, and living a good life with fellow humans and God. Religion has a close relationship with morals and ethics. This relationship involves the influence of religion on the formation and understanding of moral values and ethical norms in human life. The implementation of moral and ethical integration in Islamic education can be done through curriculum development in institutions, interactive learning, Islamic character building. In its implementation requires cooperation from all parties related to students, teachers, parents and also the environment around students

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to explain the types of leadership implemented at the Al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School, Gipa al-Qasim Complex, Sewon Bantul, and how this leadership motivates students to memorize the Qur’an.Method – This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection methods including interviews, documentation, and observation, as well as data analysis involving data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. Data validity is tested using source and technique triangulation.Findings – The study reveals that the paternalistic and charismatic leadership of the Kyai significantly enhances the motivation of santri kalong in memorizing the Qur'an. The reciprocal relationship between the Kyai and the santri fosters respect and a desire for blessings, with the Kyai's advice and exemplary behavior positively influencing the santri's motivation and Islamic character. The use of the sorogan method for evaluating memorization improves both the quantity and fluency of recitation, encouraging continuous review. These findings highlight the crucial role of leadership style in motivating santri. The study also emphasizes the need to improve communication between santri kalong and the Kyai and addresses challenges like the imbalance in study time and lack of commitment among non-resident santri. Despite these challenges, the Kyai's leadership proves vital in motivating santri kalong, significantly impacting their progress in Qur'an memorization. Research Implications – The implications of this research include educational learning, leadership development, educational policy. The study highlights the importance of the Kyai’s role in shaping the character and motivation of santri in Islamic boarding schools.
