Abstract

In financial management theories an investor will act rationally and make a desicion to invest based on the rules in the financial management theory. Nevertheless, in reality the decision making to invest is very often irrational and not in accordance with the financial management theory. This deviation is caused by the bias of investors’ behaviour in making a decision. Investors who only focus on the return of an investment without paying attention to the risks are said to experience overconfidence bias. This research analyses the factors which are considered to influence investors with overconfidence bias in deciding the investment types. The factors are personality type, marital status, income level, work experience, and fields of study that have been taken. This research can contribute to completing the study of financial management, particularly in the investment decision and putting psychological factors in the analysis of financial management

Abstract

In financial management theories an investor will act rationally and make a desicion to invest based on the rules in the financial management theory. Abstract

Abstrak Garut merupakan salah satu dari tiga daerah dengan jumlah pernikahan anak tertinggi di Jawa Barat. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa pernikahan dini lebih banyak memberikan dampak yang negatif bagi remaja, baik secara fisik, seksual, maupun sosial. Pemerintah Kabupaten Garut terus berupaya untuk mencegah terjadinya pernikahan dini di kalangan remaja. Untuk itu bersama dengan Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Kristen Maranatha dilaksanakan psikoedukasi pencegahan pernikahan dini pada remaja di Garut. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 29 remaja dari Kabupaten Garut. Psikoedukasi ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan bermain peran. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik Wilcoxon yang telah dilakukan diperoleh gambaran bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yang signifikan terkait materi mencintai diri, pendidikan seks untuk remaja, karakteristik remaja dan orientasi masa depan. Peningkatan pemahaman tersebut didukung oleh cara penyampaian materi, tampilan materi dan penampilan narasumber yang menarik, sehingga menunjang tercapainya tujuan kegiatan psikoedukasi ini. Terdapat limitasi dalam psikoedukasi yang diharapkan dapat dihindari dengan mengadakan psikoedukasi dengan fasilitas hybrid dikemudian hari

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapat gambaran mengenai Learning Preferences pada mahasiswa yang termasuk Generasi Z di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas ‘X’ Bandung, yang diwakili oleh mahasiswa Angkatan 2018, 2019 dan 2020, sebanyak 157 mahasiswa diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner Learning Style Inventories sesuai konsep Learning Preferences dari Gulbahar & Ayfer (2011) melalui google form. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif dengan metode deskriptif dengan Teknik survey ini berusaha untuk mendapatkan 8 e-learning styles, yaitu Individual/Solitary, Social/Collaborative, Auditory, Concrete, Logic, Visual, Abstract, dan Sensual e-Learning Styles. Alat ukur telah melalui uji Reliabilitas dan Validitas. Berdasarkan Hasil Olah Data, dapat ditarik simpulan bahwa semua e-Learning Styles digunakan oleh generasi Z dengan karakteristik yang terbanyak digunakan adalah ISL yang merupakan belajar secara mandiri dengan mengandalkan Self-reliance. Sementara yang paling jarang digunakan adalah Abstract dan Sensual e-Learning Style. Saran secara umum yang dapat diberikan adalah meng-encourage e-learning Styles generasi Z agar terjadi learning online dengan metoda yang efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of communication quality and intimacy both jointly and partially on marital commitment in dual career couples in Serang Regency Regional Apparatus Organizations. This study uses Rusbult and Buunk's theory of marital commitment, 1993; in Arriaga & Agnew 2001), quality of communication in Montgomery (1981), and Schaefer and Olson (1981; in Weeks and Hof, 1995). This study used a quantitative method with 380 dual career husband/wife subjects in the Serang Regency Regional Apparatus Organization. The research data was processed using multiple regression and linear regression. Based on the analysis conducted in this study, it is known that: the quality of communication and intimacy together have a role in marital commitment (F = 35.508 ; R2 = 0.353 ; ρ < .05). Partial calculations show that the quality of communication and emotional intimacy have a role in marital commitment, while other variables do not have a role in marital commitment.

Abstract

Personal Growth Initiative (PGI) refers to the change process done on purpose and reflects how a person changes and develops himself throughout his life span. University students, who are in the phase of emerging adulthood, will face many demanding and challenging events, so this is inevitably an opportunity for them to develop their potential to become fully functioning people. Various factors can encourage personal growth, namely optimism, internal locus of control, and general self-efficacy; besides, socio-demographic factors such as age, birth order in the family, parent's education, parent's occupation, and the semesters already attended at university. The instrument used is the Personal Growth Initiative Scale, the Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) to measure optimism, the Internal Locus of Control scale, and the New General Self-Efficacy Scale (NGSE). Through hierarchical regression analysis, the research findings show that general self-efficacy is the strongest predictor of personal growth initiatives, followed by locus of control and optimism. In addition, the socio-demographic data that consistently shows the role of personal growth initiatives is the participants' attended semesters with a negative orientation. The participants' decreasing motivation likely caused the finding due to the increasing number of attended semesters.

Abstract

Divorce is a significant event in the growth of a family. When divorce occurs, it not only affects the parents but also has an impact on the children. The occurrence of divorce negatively affects the development of children, particularly during adolescence. Furthermore, experiencing parental divorce leads adolescents to question their self-worth, resulting in the formation of low self-esteem, which in turn disrupts the development of peer attachment with their peers, as adolescents perceive themselves in a diminished light. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the influence of self-esteem on peer attachment. The subjects of this study are adolescents (aged 10-18 years) with divorced parents in Bandung City. The research method employed is quantitative. In this study, the researcher utilized the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (Armsden & Greenberg, 1987) and the Self-esteem scale (Rosenberg, 1965), which were translated into Indonesian. IPPA consists of 25 items measuring peer attachment, with each scale comprising three aspects: trust, communication, and alienation. Meanwhile, the self-esteem scale consists of 10 items. The responses to both questionnaires (IPPA and self-esteem) will be analyzed using the linear regression method to determine the influence of self-esteem on peer attachment. The test results indicate a significance value of 0.030 (≤ 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that self-esteem is related to peer attachment among adolescents with divorced parents in Bandung City.
