Skripsi, Program Studi Bimbingan Konseling, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan IKIP PGRI Jember. Pembimbing: (I) HBA. Jaya Wardhana, M.Si dan (II) Bhennita Sukmawati, M.Psi Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh teknik motivational interviewing terhadap motivasi belajar menghafal Al-Qur’an siswa kelas VIII di Muhammadiyah Boarding School Tanggul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi adalah siswa kelas VIII Muhammadiyah Boarding School Tanggul dengan sampel sebanyak 6 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dengan mengunakan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian yakni : Ada pengaruh layanan teknik motivational interviewing terhadap motivasi belajar menghafal Al-Qur’an Siswa Kelas VIII. Diketahui bahwa nilai Z adalah -2,207, dihasilkan besaran Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)nya 0,027 dibawah dari 0,05 maka kesimpulannya ada peningkatan motivasi siswa, dengan hasil perhitungan tersebut bahwa layananan teknik motivational interviewing bepengaruh dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar menghafal Al-Qur’an Siswa Kelas VIII di Muhammadiyah Boarding School Tanggul.

Abstract

Menghafal Al-Qur’an merupakan perbuatan yang sangat mulia dan terpuji, dalam menghafal Al-Qur’an sangat diperlukan sebuah motivasi yang dapat menguatkan santri untuk terus semangat menyelesaikan hafalan Al-Qur’annya, dan hal ini terjadi pada santri Pondok Pesantren Ibnu Katsir, yaitu semangat yang mulai menurun, sehingga setoran hafalan, capain harian, dan target hafalannya tidak sesuai, sehingga peneliti merasa perlu untuk menindak lanjuti permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi menghafalkan Al-Qur’an santri dengan wasilah metode self talk, adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan design penelitian Pre-eksperimental One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasantri angkatan 8 Ibnu Katsir Jember dengan sampel sebanyak 19 santri. Metode pengumpulan data dengan mengunakan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. Hasil penelitian adalah: Terdapat pengaruh layanan bimbingan dengan teknik self talk terhadap motivasi menghafal Al-Qur’an santri Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai rerata pretes yakni 127,5 dan nilai rerata posttest yakni 155,6 serta selisihnya 44,8. Diketahui nilai Z adalah -2,201, dihasilkan besaran Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)nya 0,028 dibawah dari 0,05 maka kesimpulannya ada beda nilai terhadap Motivasi menghafal Alquransiswa dilihat dari nilai pretest dan posttest (hipotesis kerja diterima). maka bisa diartikan bahwa ada pengaruh bimbingan dengan metode self talk terhadap motivasi menghafalkan Al-Qur’an santri.

Abstract

Fenomena phubbing, yaitu kebiasaan mengabaikan orang di sekitar karena terlalu fokus pada ponsel, menjadi masalah serius di lingkungan sekolah, terutama di SMK Abdul Aziz Balung Jember. Perilaku ini dapat mengganggu hubungan sosial antar siswa, mengurangi empati, serta menghambat komunikasi yang baik. Karena kesadaran rendah dan intervensi psikologis yang minim, perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui sejauh mana konseling kelompok dengan keterampilan empati dapat mengurangi perilaku phubbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol yang tidak setara. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menerima konseling kelompok dengan keterampilan empati, dan kelompok kontrol yang tidak menerima perlakuan apa pun. Alat yang digunakan adalah skala perilaku phubbing yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata perubahan skor perilaku phubbing pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 23,13 dengan standar deviasi 2,23, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol hanya 4,00 dengan standar deviasi 0,53. Perbedaan ini menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mengalami penurunan signifikan dalam perilaku phubbing dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Ini menunjukkan bahwa konseling kelompok dengan keterampilan empati efektif dalam mengurangi phubbing.

Abstract

Kejenuhan belajar sering kali menghambat proses pendidikan dan mengurangi motivasi belajar santri. Teknik Self Management, yang melibatkan pengelolaan diri, pengaturan waktu, dan penetapan tujuan, diharapkan dapat membantu santri untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan meningkatkan kesadaran diri dan disiplin. Penelitian dimaksudkan guna mengukur sejauh mana Self Management dapat meningkatkan fokus, motivasi, serta mengurangi rasa jenuh yang dirasakan oleh santri. Penulis memakai metode eksperimen dengan melibatkan sejumlah santri sebagai sampel, dan hasilnya bahwa dapat secara signifikan mengurangi tingkat kejenuhan belajar dan meningkatkan kualitas belajar santri di PPA Ibnu Katsir.Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik Self Management efektif dalam membantu santri untuk lebih teratur dan termotivasi dalam belajar, sehingga dapat mengatasi kejenuhan yang sering muncul dalam kegiatan pendidikan di pesantren.

Abstract

Adolescents with low self-esteem tend to have negative self-perceptions, feelunworthy, and withdraw from their social environment. This condition is commonlyfound among students from broken home families, as they often believe that theirparents’ separation is their fault. Such beliefs can lead to prolonged sadness andemotional trauma. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of SolutionFocused Brief Counseling (SFBC) as an effort to improve the self-esteem ofstudents from broken home families at MA Abdul Aziz Balung, Jember. Self-esteemplays a crucial role in personal development and academic achievement, makingeffective intervention strategies essential in educational settings. The researchemployed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-testdesign. The sample was selected using purposive sampling techniques. The experimental group received SFBC treatment. Data were collected using a self-esteem scale administered before and after the intervention. The results of the data analysis using a paired sample t-test indicated a significant increase in students’self-esteem after the intervention. This study provides an in-depth understanding ofthe extent to which SFBC can significantly contribute to enhancing the self-esteemof students from broken home backgrounds.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of using a video tutorial on creating snack bouquets on the vocational skills of 10th-grade deaf students at Jember State Special Needs School. The method used by the researchers in this study was a quantitative experiment, a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of four students. Data were processed using nonparametric statistical methods, using the sign-and-sign test. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the video tutorial on making snack bouquets has a positive effect on improving the vocational skills of 10th-grade deaf students at Jember State Special Needs School. This media offers a visual approach tailored to students' needs, facilitating an understanding of instructions without relying on verbal communication, and encourages students to learn independently. This research demonstrates the importance of implementing adaptive learning media, particularly in supporting inclusive education for students with special needs.   Keywords: Video Tutorial Media, Vocational Skills, Students with Deafness

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of animated video media on tooth brushing skills in 12th-grade children with moderate intellectual disabilities at SLB-C TPA Jember. This study employed a Single-Subject Research (SSR) method with an A-B design. The results showed that the use of animated video media can improve tooth brushing skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. In conclusion, animated video media is an effective learning aid for improving toothbrushing skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Trait and Factor theory-based career counseling services on career decision-making among twelfth-grade students at As Salafi Balun Vocational School. The research addresses the prevalent confusion and uncertainty in career selection due to limited self-understanding and inadequate guidance. Employing a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest model, all 17 students in the target population participated. Data were collected using a validated career decision-making questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics, paired sample t-tests, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank tests, and effect size calculations. The results show a significant improvement in students’ career decision-making abilities, with posttest scores markedly higher than pretest scores and a very large effect size. The findings confirm that structured Trait and Factor-based counseling enhances career maturity and reduces indecision. In conclusion, the intervention is effective in fostering informed career choices, though future studies should consider larger samples and longer follow-up periods.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the existential–humanistic approach in supporting the psychological recovery of verbal bullying victims in Islamic boarding schools. Verbal bullying can cause detrimental psychological impacts, such as decreased self-confidence, heightened anxiety, difficulty concentrating, declining academic performance, loss of interest in previous activities, and a reduction in previously positive social relationships, all of which hinder the emotional and academic development of students. Therefore, an intervention is needed to help victims of verbal bullying. The general objective of this study is to determine the extent to which group counseling using the existential–humanistic approach can improve the psychological condition of student victims of verbal bullying. The specific objectives are to measure changes in anxiety levels, concentration difficulties, academic performance, interest in activities, social relationships, and self-esteem after participating in group counseling sessions. This study employs a One Group Pre-Test Post-Test design, in which respondents are assessed before and after the group counseling intervention. Data will be collected using questionnaires measuring anxiety, depression, and self-esteem, and will then be analyzed to determine significant differences. The expected outcome of this study is to prove the effectiveness of group counseling with the existential–humanistic technique in reducing psychological disturbances among student victims of verbal bullying. The findings are anticipated to provide practical contributions to the development of counseling programs in Islamic boarding schools to support students’ mental well-being.

Abstract

Many vocational high school students experience barriers to interpersonal communication, such as low self-confidence and reluctance to express their opinions, while group guidance using assertiveness training has been recognized as an effective approach to address these challenges. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of group guidance with assertiveness training in improving students’ interpersonal communication skills. The research employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving eight purposively selected 11th-grade students from a total of 32 at SMK Abdul Aziz. A validated interpersonal communication questionnaire was used to collect data, which were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings revealed that all participants showed improvement (positive ranks = 8; negative = 0; ties = 0); the mean score increased from M = 97.6 (SD = 7.5) to M = 136.0 (SD = 7.2), indicating a gain of 38.4 points. The Wilcoxon test produced Z = −2.527, p = .012 (< .05), confirming a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest results. These outcomes demonstrate that group guidance incorporating assertiveness training effectively enhances vocational students’ interpersonal communication. The study provides empirical support for counselors and educators to integrate assertiveness training into preventive and developmental counseling services, contributing to a more positive communication climate in schools. Future research should involve larger samples and control groups, extend intervention periods to assess long-term effects, and explore related psychosocial variables such as self-confidence, social anxiety, and problem-solving skills.
