Abstract

The rehabilitation strategy for improving the fertility of ex-sand mining soil must be able to improve the ecological conditions of the damaged mining environment, so that its growth can then be symbiotic with indigenous AMF. The types of plants that have the potential to be developed and are quite well known to the public are the types of plants that have economic value for the community and also have ecological value, where these plants are cut down so that they can improve the ecosystem condition of the former sand mining land in the area. Types of MPTS that might be developed include jackfruit, soursop and sugar apple plants. The type of plant chosen is aimed at land reclamation and also has a social and economic function for the community. This research was conducted in April - August 2023 at the Green House and Silviculture Laboratory, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Kuningan University. In this study there were 2 variables, namely the independent variable which included the mycorrhizal genus and plant type, while the dependent variable included plant stem height, plant root length, plant root volume, number of spores on the plant. This research uses a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) data analysis method using SPSS software with two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at an error rate of 5%. The results showed that the use of the mycorrhizal genus independently had a very significant influence on the number of spores, but did not have a significant influence on the growth of stem height and root length. The use of plant species independently had a very significant influence on the growth of stem height, root length and root volume, but did not have a significant influence on the number of spores. Meanwhile, the interaction between the mycorrhizal genus and plant type had a very significant influence on root volume and did not have a significant influence on the growth of stem height, root length and number of spores.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akurasi pendugaan kubikasi kayu Sengon di hutan rakyat. Dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan desain korelasional, data dikumpulkan selama 3-4 bulan di Desa Cipari dan Desa Baok, Kabupaten Kuningan. Melalui analisis regresi linier sederhana, ditemukan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara keliling pohon dan kubikasi sortimen kayu Sengon. Persamaan prediksi untuk kubikasi sortimen kayu adalah y = -0,429 + 0,007x, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 86,4%. Pengujian hipotesis mengkonfirmasi signifikansi hubungan tersebut (0,000 < 0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan alat penduga volume pohon Sengon untuk mendukung pengelolaan hutan rakyat. Model ini diharapkan dapat membantu petani di lapangan dalam mengestimasi kubikasi kayu secara akurat, meningkatkan pendapatan, dan mendukung keberlanjutan industri perkayuan daerah. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan antara lain dengan menambahkan faktor lain ke dalam model, seperti variasi volume cabang, tinggi pohon dan cacat kayu pada batang, untuk meningkatkan akurasi prediksi kubikasi kayu. Abstract

Green open space (GOS) is an essential component of urban open space. This RTH is planted with a variety of vegetation to support the direct or indirect benefits generated by GOS in the city, namely safety, comfort, welfare, and the aesthetic appeal of the urban area. Trees that grow in green spaces have the ability to transpire, absorb solar radiation, and provide shade, thereby influencing the surrounding environment. Green spaces in Kuningan Regency have a significant role in microclimate control. This study aims to determine the effect of green spaces on microclimate using direct data measurements with three parameters: air temperature, air humidity, and light intensity. The data is then processed into variable data and analyzed using the Pearson correlation method with the help of SPSS software. The results indicate that the relationship between green spaces and microclimates exhibits distinct characteristics. Specifically, the correlation between green spaces and air temperature is found to be strong, that between green spaces and air humidity is moderate, and that between green spaces and light intensity is weak.Keywords: green open space, microclimate, Kuningan Regency.

Abstract

Waste processing, especially organic waste, which in practice is still not optimal in Indonesia. One method of processing organic waste is using eco enzymes, which are made by fermenting vegetable and fruit waste combined with water and sugar. The raw materials for making eco enzymes vary and have different characteristics so they have high potential to be used in various fields. This research aims to examine the properties of organoleptic eco enzymes their raw materials and their application to human requirements. This study used an experimental method by repeating twice for each raw material including vegetables, a mixture of fruit peels (mango, pineapple, durian), pineapple peel, banana peel, and orange peel. Then the eco enzyme data is analyzed for characteristics based on parameters such as color, aroma, taste, and pH. According to the findings, the eco enzyme has a distinct brown color that ranges from light brown to dark brown, the aroma and taste produced show from very sour and smelly to a slightly sour and characteristic smell, and than the pH levels range from 2.98 to 3.50. The characteristics that have been analyzed organoleptic in this study indicate that the eco enzymes produced are very good, namely brown color, sour aroma, slightly doormat taste, and a pH value of 4. Eco enzymes are used in various fields such as household needs as cleaning fluids, the environment as a wastewater purifier, health is used to improve well water quality, and agriculture as a fertilizer and plant disinfectants

Abstract

Seiring berjalannya pada saat populasi meningkat dan ekonomi berkembang, sampah menjadi masalah yang menarik di masyarakat. Ini terjadi di beberapa desa dan di kota-kota besar, dan perlu ditangani segera. Selain itu, masyarakat tidak tahu banyak tentang sampah. Sebagian besar orang belum tahu tentang penggunaan dan pengelolaan sampah. Sebuah survei awal menunjukkan bahwa situasi di Desa Cikondang Kecamatan Hantara masih dipenuhi dengan tumpukan sampah, tidak hanya di lingkungan sekitar tetapi juga dalam kebiasaan masyarakatnya yang membuang sampah di mana saja tanpa mencari cara untuk memanfaatkannya.. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian masyarakat ini menawarkan solusi seperti penyuluhan dan sosialisasi tentang pengelolaan sampah, pembuatan komposter, dan pembuatan kompos. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pengelolaan sampah, memberikan pelatihan dalam pembuatan komposter dan pembuatan kompos, dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pengelolaan sampah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan komposter dan kompos serta wawancara kepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat penting dilaksanakan mengingat temuan pada survey awal dalam pengelolaan sampah menjadi sebuah permasalahan yang harus segera diatasi. Setelah pengabdian dilakukan, masyarakat akan mempelajari dan mempraktekkan pembuatan kompos di rumah mereka sendiri. Mereka bahkan akan berpikir untuk menjualnya untuk meningkatkan ekonomi Desa Cikondang dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Agroforestry is a land use system that combines agricultural crops with forestry plants which are generally carried out in order to obtain maximum income. This study aims to determine the level of income of agroforestry farmers, how much farmer income contributes and to determine the factors that affect agroforestry farmers’ income. This study used an interview method with 41 agroforestry farmers and was conducted in December-April 2020 in Karangsari Village, Kuningan Regency. Karangsari village has 38 types of plants that are used to generate economic value for farmers’ income, the income that farmers get from agroforestry is Rp. 2,071,796,500 and farmers’ income from non-agroforestry products amounting to Rp. 2,481,600,000 so that it can be seen that the contribution of management with an agroforestry system to farmers’ income is 46%, while the contribution of non-agroforestry is 54%. Factors that can affect farmers’ income are land area factors. This is because the larger the land area, the more various types of plants and the more yields you get.

Abstract

Mayana Hill is in Kadugede District, Kuningan Regency, which is managed by village residents because it is part of two village areas, namely Kadugede Village and Sindangjawa Village. Mayana Hill is at an altitude of ±901 Mdpl with an area of ±43 Ha. Mayana Hill is divided into two areas, namely natural forest covering an area of 9 Ha and community forest at the bottom, and has 4 routes to the top. The aim of this research is to determine the diversity of species and habitat characteristics of orchids in the Mayana Hill Forest area. The method used in collecting Orchid data uses the cruising method on 4 research routes in the Mayana Hill Forest area. Exploration is carried out, environmental baselines are observed and documented. The orchids found were then marked using GPS and documented and abiotic data was collected. There are 17 types of orchids from 14 genera, 9 epiphytic orchids and 8 terstrial orchids, as well as 2 orchids of unknown type. H' value = 0.267 – 0.713. Dr value = 50.368%. C value = 0.6811. Air temperature = 250 - 300C, air humidity = 79 – 99%, soil pH = 5.5 and 6, light intensity = 185 – 8571 lux, and epiphytic orchids found attached to host trees in zones 2 and 3 on teak trees, Sengon , Mahogany, Coffee and Things. Bukit Mayana berada pada ketinggian ±901Mdpl dengan luas wilayah ±43 Ha. Bukit Mayana dibagi dua kawasan yaitu hutan alam seluas 9 Ha dan hutan rakyat dibagian bawahnya, serta memiliki 4 jalur menuju puncak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis dan karakteritik habitat anggrek di kawasan Hutan Bukit Mayana. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data Anggrek menggunakan metode cruising/jelajah pada 4 jalur penelitian di kawasan Hutan Bukit Mayana. Eksplorasi dilakukan, rona lingkungan diamati dan didokumentasikan. Anggrek yang ditemukan kemudian ditandai menggunakan GPS dan didokumentasikan serta melakukan pengambilan data abiotiknya. Terdapat 17 jenis anggrek dari 14 genus, 9 anggrek epifit dan 8 anggrek terstrial, serta 2 anggrek yang belum diketahui jenisnya. Nilai H’ = 0,267 – 0,713. Nilai Dr = 50,368%. Nilai C = 0,6811. Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of insects and their role in 3 different land covers, namely mixed forest, shrubs and calliandra vegetation in the Lambosir Block area of Gunung Ciremai National Park. This research was carried out in the Lambosir Block in the Gunung Ciremai National Park area in February - June 2022 using 5 traps, namely Butterfly net, Sweep net, Light trap, Aerial bait trap and Yellow Trap. using the total density, frequency and the Shanon Weiner Diversity Index. The results showed that on the land cover of shrubs, calliandra and mixed forests, 42 species of insects were found from 8 orders with 246 individual species with a diversity value of 3.18 or in the high category. The 8 orders found in 3 land covers included Coleoptera 4 species, Diptera 3 species, Hemiptera 4 species, Hymenoptera 4 species, Lepidoptera 23 species, Odonata 1 species, Orthoptera 2 species and Phasmatodea 1 species. In addition to the high diversity category, insects that exist in 3 land covers have various roles such as pollinators, decomposers, assisting ecological succession, bio indicators and predators. The correlation between land cover with the number of species and the number of individual species based on the Scatter plot has a correlation value of 91%. Abstract

Agroforestri adalah sistem penggunaan lahan yang menggabungkan tanaman pertanian dan kehutanan atau peternakan dalam satu bidang lahan. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Cibinuang Kabupaten Kuningan dalam kelompok tani hutan Harapan Mulya dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pendapatan petani agroforestri, untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi pendapatan petani dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi pendapatan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terdapat 17 jenis tanaman yang ditemukan, tingkat pendapatan tertinggi adalah jenis tanaman cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum) sebesar Rp. 3.919.000 per / tahun sedangkan produktivitas tertinggi pada tanaman petai (Parkia speciosa) adalah 221,43 papan / tahun. Pendapatan rata-rata petani dari agroforestri Rp. 10.754.852 / tahun dengan pengeluaran dari agroforestri Rp. 917.600/tahun, sedangkan pendapatan non-agroforestri rata-rata Rp 2.800.100/tahun. Kemudian kontribusi sistem agroforestri terhadap pendapatan responden sebesar 79,34% dan kontribusi pengelolaan lahan pada sistem non-agroforestri sebesar 20,76%. Faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat agroforestri yang dapat mempengaruhi pendapatan adalah variabel luas lahan.Kata Kunci: Agroforestry, Pendapatan, Rumah tangga, pertanian

Abstract

Karangsari Village, Darma district, Kuningan Regency is one area that has agricultural land which is mostly planted with vegetable crops, the presence of pollinating insects on agricultural land in Karangsari Village is very important in helping the pollination process, resulting in the production of vegetable crops. Karangsari Village is a forest edge area in Kuningan Regency which is rich in flora and fauna that have not been identified. The problems studied in this study are 1) How is the diversity of insect species on the chili plant field 2) What is the ecological function of the insects found on the chili plant field. The method used in this research is the survey method and scan sampling. Based on observations made for 7 days, there were 7 orders, 21 families, and 26 species with ecological roles such as pests, predators, parasites, decomposers, natural enemies, and pollinators while the Shannon-Wiener index value was 2.05.Desa Karangsari Kecamatan Darma Kabupaten Kuningan merupakan salah satu daerah yang mempunyai lahan pertanian yang banyak ditanami tanaman sayuran, keberadaan serangga penyerbuk pada lahan pertanian di Desa Karangsari sangat penting dalam membantu proses penyerbukan sehingga menghasilkan produksi tanaman sayuran. . Desa Karangsari merupakan kawasan tepi hutan di Kabupaten Kuningan yang kaya akan flora dan fauna yang belum teridentifikasi. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana keanekaragaman jenis serangga pada lahan tanaman cabai 2) Bagaimana fungsi ekologis serangga yang terdapat pada lahan tanaman cabai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan scan sampling. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan selama 7 hari, terdapat 7 ordo, 21 famili, dan 26 spesies dengan peran ekologis seperti hama, predator, parasit, pengurai, musuh alami, dan penyerbuk sedangkan nilai indeks Shannon-Wiener sebesar 2,05.
