Based on the results of Nutritional Status Monitoring inBima, the prevalence of stunting for each year has increased. The prevalence of stuntingin 2011 amounted to 23.61%, in 2012 amounted to 30.3%, and in 2013 amounted to53.2%. Soromandi district is one of the districts with the highest prevalence of stunting inBima. This study aimed to analyze the determinants of the incidence of stunting inchildren under five year in Puskesmas Soromandi Bima district of West Nusa Tenggara. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. This studyshows that there was no significant relationship between food intake, genetic factors, status BBLR with the incidence of stunting and no significant correlation between geneticfactors with the incidence of stunting. The factors that most influence the incidence ofstunting was exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: Stunting, Children Under Five Year, Determinan

Abstract

Latar belakang.

Abstract

Health Education on the Steps of Handwashing with Soap (CTPS) plays a crucial role in breaking the chain of germ transmission that can cause infections and diseases, especially in the Elementary School environment. The aim of this service is to enhance children's knowledge and attitudes to correctly apply the steps of handwashing with soap (CTPS) in their daily lives, both within and outside the school environment. This activity is expected to prevent the risk of infections and diseases transmitted through contaminated objects, thereby improving the children's health status. The method used in carrying out community service activities is to convey information through a lecture method, namely a presentation combining educational games and ending with the practice of washing hands with soap (CTPS). The service was conducted at SDN 03 Wera on May 31, 2023. The outreach activities carried out received quite high enthusiasm where the students of SDN 03 Wera were very interested in discussing the benefits of CTPS health education. CTPS health education at SDN 3 Wera is an extraordinary step. This shows a commitment to not only providing information, but also creating an environment where healthy practices like CTPS become a natural part of children's daily routines.

Abstract

UNICEF explained that if nutrition problems are not taken care of properly during the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a 15% increase in the number of children <5 years old who experience acute malnutrition can increase the risk of stunting. The stunting data in NTB (2020) is 20.9%, where the highest stunting data is in West Lombok Regency (29.3%), and the lowest is in Bima City (7.9%). Dompu Regency ranks 5th at 25%, whereas Woja District is the area with the highest stunting incidence in 2020 is 54.98%. Based on e-PPGBM data (2020) in Woja District, there are 3rd villages with the highest stunting rate, namely Matua Village 82.04%, Monta Baru Village 61.9%, and Rababaka Village 60.71%. This study aims to analyze the nutritional benefits of supplementary feeding with granola moringa in undernourished children; measure and analyze changes in the nutritional status and development of children; prepare recommendations for the sustainability of the granola moringa supplementary food program with the Dompu Barat Health Center. The research method uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental approach with a control group. The data collection instruments were interview guides and observation sheets. Data analysis used the sample paired t-test. The results of the test of paired sample t-test obtained a sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05 with t value -10.456 > t table 2 means that there is a difference in the average weight of children after being given granola moringa, which means that there is an effect of local food (granola moringa) as additional food for stunting prevention in malnutrition toddlers and the effectiveness of giving granola moringa was 0.4 (medium category).

Abstract

The 2025 global nutrition target aims to reduce stunting, focusing on accelerating efforts in implementing local food innovation. In the Bima area, milkfish (Chanos Chanos) has emerged as a strategic commodity due to its potential to meet children's nutritional needs affordably. However, the fish's many spines pose a choking hazard, especially for children. To address this, an innovative solution has been proposed: processing milkfish into complementary food into milkfish salome. This research sought to determine the acceptability of Salome among children aged 2-5 years. Using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three serving types (soup, grilled, and fried Salome) and purposive sampling, the study employed questionnaires and data analysis through the Anova Analysis and the Games-Howell advanced test. The organoleptic test results indicated that fried Salome was the preferred variant, with subsequent tests revealing significant differences in aroma, texture, taste, and colour among original, fried, and grilled salome. Notably, milkfish Salome offers 6.4 grams of protein, 1.2 grams of fat, and 10.5 grams of carbohydrates per 100-gram serving.

Abstract

Peka Gizi is a health and nutrition screening program aimed at raising community awareness about the importance of health and nutrition. The activity was conducted at SDN Jia Bima, involving 46 participants from various age groups. The examination included blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) assessments. Most participants were aged 25–35 years (43%) and 36–46 years (35%). Results showed that 41% had hypertension, 11% had hypotension, and 48% had normal blood pressure. Based on BMI, 20% were categorized as pre-obese, 13% as obese, 11% were underweight, and 56% had normal weight. These findings indicate that over half of the participants were at risk of health issues related to blood pressure and nutritional status. Therefore, educational initiatives like Peka Gizi should be implemented regularly as part of promotive and preventive health interventions.
