Abstract

Determining the level of difficulty and student development is important in the learning continuum, especially the anatomical and physiological aspects. This study aimed to collect teachers' opinions about the learning continuum of anatomical and physiological aspects based on its difficulty level. This survey research was conducted in the cities of Bantul and Yogyakarta using a questionnaire. The selection of respondents through convenience sampling, totaling 111 teachers consisting of 68 junior high school science teachers and 43 junior high school biology teachers. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the mode of teachers’ opinions. The results of this study indicate that the learning continuum in grade X of senior high school based on difficulty level in anatomical and physiological aspects, especially multicellular and unicellular concept has not yet been formed, with the difficulty at level 4. Therefore it is necessary to the provision of subject matter is sorted from easy to difficult and adjusted to the level of development of students at each level.

Abstract

Subjects in science, with learning resources in the environment, can be considered in the teaching and learning process. Based on observations at SMPN 13 Bontoa, the use of the environment has not been maximized. The purpose of this study was to compare the learning outcomes of students who were taught about the interactions of living things using the environment as a learning resource to those who were not. Experimental research in the form of a quasi-experimental design was carried out from February to April 2021. Data were obtained from a posttest and observations. Descriptive analysis and inferential analysis techniques were used to process the data. The results of the control class showed 31 students, or 54.83%, in the medium category. The experimental class, totaling 31 people, is 54.84% of the high category. The results of the t-test showed that H0 was rejected, H1 was accepted with count = 30.57, and ttable = 2.00 with dk = 60. This study showed higher student learning outcomes by utilizing the environment as a learning resource. For future research, it is expected to be possible to examine student learning motivation and creativity related to the use of the environment as a learning resource.

Abstract

Sumber referensi pada tugas akhir yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa calon guru biologi masih lemah karena sitasi dari jurnal nasional atau internasional masih kurang. Hal ini diduga karena kurangnya pengetahuan mereka tentang nama jurnal dan website penelusuran jurnal. Pelatihan dalam penelusuran sumber referensi bagi mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Cenderawasih diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam membantu mahasiswa dalam penyusunan tugas akhir sehingga menghasilkan tugas akhir yang lebih berkualitas. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di FKIP Universitas Cenderawasih. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi terkait pengenalan sumber-sumber referensi online pada mahasiswa disertai praktik langsung cara mencari referensi untuk pemenuhan penyususnan tugas akhir. Website sumber informasi yang dikenalkan pada mahasiswa diantaranya yaitu Google Scholar, Indonesia One Search dan DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journal). Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi semester VI FKIP Universitas Cenderawasih sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat. Partisipasi tersebut dibuktikan dengan kehadiran mereka serta dengan senang hati mengikuti materi serta turut aktif dalam berbagai diskusi. Ada keinginan yang kuat dari mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan softskills secara optimal dengan terus mempelajari dan menerapkan hasil kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini pada saat penulisan tugas akhir

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of technology in education has become an unavoidable necessity in this digital era. This article discusses the implementation of training for lecturers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Cenderawasih University in implementing the Learning Management System (LMS), an online platform that is able to increase the efficiency of teaching and learning at the tertiary level. This training aims to improve lecturers understanding and skills in using LMS as a means to manage learning material, present material interactively, and facilitate communication between lecturers and students. Training methods include practical training sessions, case studies, and group discussions. Training findings showed a significant increase in lecturers understanding and skills regarding LMS use. Lecturers are able to seamlessly manage their courses, present material more interactively, and take advantage of the collaborative features of the LMS. These resultas provide a positive picture of the potential of LMS in improving the quality of teaching at FKIP Cenderawasih University. Keywords: Learning Management System (LMS), Training, Lecturers

Abstract

In general, the purpose of writing articles is to influence, educate, inform, convince, and entertain readers. Articles are usually published in media, such as bulletins, magazines, newspapers, or websites. Artificial intelligence is used to make scientific articles easier, namely GPT chat. The research aims to explain the role of GPT chat in writing scientific articles. A review is conducted on the state-of-the-art methods using the preferred reporting items for reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The results of this research examine that scientific articles themselves also consist of several types, namely research articles, non-research articles or review papers, and book reviews and obituaries. This open technology has several useful benefits for carrying out various daily tasks, namely: As a problem solver, answering difficult questions, completing math assignments and even essays, drafting articles, providing information, becoming a virtual assistant, working on coding, and helping customers. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun sebuah kisi-kisi learning continuum terkait aspek klasifikasi makhluk hidup berdasarkan pendapat guru IPA SMP dan guru Biologi SMA yang ditinjau dari level kesukaran. Kisi-kisi learning continuum ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu bahan pertimbangan dalam menyusun dan mengembangkan kurikulum di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei yang dilaksanakan di lima kota/kabupaten yang berada di provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta, yaitu Kota Yogyakarta, Kabupaten Sleman, Kabupaten Kulonprogo, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul dan Kabupaten Bantul.  Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa kuisioner yang disebarkan secara online melalui google form. Responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 111 responden dari guru IPA SMP dan guru Biologi SMA yang dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kisi-kisi learning continuum terkait aspek klasifikasi makhluk hidup yang disusun berdasarkan pendapat guru IPA SMP dan guru Biologi SMA belum menunjukan adanya tingkatan level kesukaran. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa guru IPA SMP maupun guru Biologi SMA masih belum mempertimbangkan kesesuaian antara level kesukaran dengan tingkat perkembangan maupun jenjang pendidikan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut yang melibatkan pendapat pakar dalam hal ini adalah dosen Pendidikan Biologi kemudian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan FGD (Focus Group Discussion) antara guru dan dosen untuk mendiskusikan dan mempertimbangkan hasil yang telah diperoleh. Kata Kunci : Learning continuum, Klasifikasi makhluk hidup, level kesukaran, Guru ABSTRACT This study aims to compile a learning continuum grid related to aspects of the classification of living things based on the opinions of junior high school science teachers and high school biology teachers in terms of difficulty level. The learning continuum grid is expected to be one of the considerations in preparing and developing curricula in Indonesia. This research is a descriptive study using a survey method that was carried out in five cities/districts in the province of D.I. Yogyakarta, namely the City of Yogyakarta, Sleman Regency, Kulonprogo Regency, Gunung Kidul Regency, and Bantul Regency. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire that was distributed online via Google Forms. Respondents who were involved in this study were 111 respondents from junior high school science teachers and high school biology teachers who were selected using a convenience sampling technique. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the learning continuum grid related to aspects of the classification of living things which was compiled based on the opinions of junior high school science teachers and high school biology teachers did not show any level of difficulty. This indicates that junior high school science teachers and high school biology teachers still have not considered the compatibility between the level of difficulty and the level of development and education level of students. Therefore it is necessary to carry out further research involving expert opinion, in this case, the Biology Education lecturer then followed by conducting FGDs (Focus Group Discussions) between teachers and lecturers to discuss and consider the results that have been obtained. Keywords : Learning continuum, the classification of living things, difficulty level, teacher

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is experiencing a transformation through the integration of multiple intelligence theories in the curriculum to optimize student potential. The problem is the need to develop students' potential holistically to prepare them to face the demands of future society. The urgency lies in the need for inclusive and diverse education to ensure that every student can develop optimally. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating the theory of multiple intelligences in improving student learning in Indonesia. The research method involves direct observation during classroom learning sessions, using the Science Behavior Checklist and Pure Value Observation. Data was collected through structured observation and processed using qualitative analysis methods. The research results show that a learning atmosphere that integrates multiple intelligence elements helps develop students' scientific tendencies and noble values. In conclusion, the integration of multiple intelligence theory in the Indonesian curriculum provides a valuable contribution to developing students' potential holistically, preparing them for academic success, and becoming empowered individuals. The implication of this research is the need to continue to encourage inclusive learning approaches that take into account the diversity of students' intelligence to create a learning environment that supports holistic development.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, especially in the delivery of teaching materials. Canva provides an easy-to-use platform for creating interesting and interactive teaching materials. In this context, Canva-based textbook creation training is important for teachers, especially those who are members of the Keerom Regency Science MGMP, to improve their skills and educational effectiveness. The training took place over several sessions, including an introduction to Canva, textbook prototyping, interactive content preparation, and design review. The training participants were 30 science teachers who were members of the Keerom Regency Science MGMP from various schools. Data was collected through pre- and post-test questionnaires to measure participants' advanced knowledge and skills when using Canva. The teachers' knowledge of the Canva application before the training was only 6 teachers who were at a good and very good level, and after completing the training, all 30 teachers were at a good and very good level, knowing about the Canva application in the form of graphic design applications, especially for making textbooks..

Abstract

The application of the scientific method to science learning requires a laboratory as a means or place to carry out practical activities. Utilization of laboratories or practical activities is part of the teaching and learning process. To prevent and overcome problems that may arise in laboratory management, it is necessary to make good laboratory management efforts. Therefore, it is intended to carry out the actualization of laboratory principles in question, namely laboratory surgery in the context of optimizing the Science Education laboratory at SMP Negeri 3 Arso. This service is assistance in laboratory management carried out by Lecturers at the PMIPA Department, FKIP, Cenderawasih University. The subjects of service are teachers and students of SMP Negeri 3 Arso, while the object of service is the science education laboratory at SMP Negeri 3 Arso. Achievement of success in community service activities was achieved through distributing survey instruments to schools. The laboratory management assistance activities that have been carried out include inventory of practical equipment, creating a laboratory organizational structure, organizing and cleaning equipment rooms such as tool cabinets, practical rooms, practical tables, cleaning practical equipment, and creating rules for practical activities. This assistance received a positive response from the school which showed that the school's need for a good science laboratory was met.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan di abad 21 membutuhkan inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan teknologi. Pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan kini memiliki peran yang krusial, namun muncul kekhawatiran global terkait rendahnya tingkat literasi digital di kalangan guru. Oleh karena itu kegiatan pengabdian pemanfaatan google workspace for education ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital guru IPA di Daerah 3T terutama Kabupaten Keerom. Program ini diharapkan mampu menjembatani kesenjangan digital dalam pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2025. Peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP guru IPA Kabupaten Keerom yang berjumlah 22 guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode Participatory Learning and Action. Pengabdian ini menghasilkan capaian yang menggambarkan peningkatan kompetensi guru secara signifikan, serta terbentuknya praktik pembelajaran IPA yang lebih interaktif dan digital. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 34,7 skor dari hasil pretest dan posttest. Sebanyak 80% peserta mampu menyiapkan google meet, 75% peserta mampu mengelola google classroom dan 79% peserta mampu membuat kuis di google form. Pencapaian ini menunjukan bahwa meskipun mayoritas guru berasal dari wilayah 3T dengan keterbatasan fasilitas, mereka tetap memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk belajar dan beradaptasi terhadap teknologi. Kata kunci: digitalisasi; google workspace for education; literasi digital; pembelajaran IPA. Abstract Education in the 21st century requires innovation in the learning process, one of which is through the use of technology. The adoption of digital technology in education is very important, but there are global concerns about the level of digital literacy of teachers. Therefore, this community service activity utilizing google workspace for education was carried out with the aim of improving the digital literacy of science teachers in the 3T Region, especially Keerom Regency. This program is expected to be able to bridge the digital divide in education. This community service activity was carried out in June 2025. Participants involved in this community service activity were teachers who were members of the MGMP Science Teachers of Keerom Regency, totaling 22 teachers. The method used in this community service was the Participatory Learning and Action method. This community service resulted in achievements that illustrate a significant increase in teacher competency, as well as the formation of more interactive and digital science learning practices. This is evidenced by an increase in knowledge of 34.7 scores from the pretest and posttest results. 80% of participants were able to set up google meet, 75% of participants were able to manage google classroom and 79% of participants were able to create quizzes in google forms. This achievement shows that even though the majority of teachers come from 3T areas with limited facilities, they still have high motivation to learn and adapt to technology. Keywords: digitalization; google workspace for education; digital literacy; science learning.
