Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine the formal reasoning abilities of students in class The approach used in this research is a descriptive and associative approach. The data collection technique used is the Test of Logical Thinking (TOLT). From the data analysis, it was found that the reasoning ability of class 2023/2024 academic year with person product moment correlation obtained a value of rx1y = 0.909 and KP 82.6%. There is an influence between formal reasoning abilities on learning outcomes in the main subject matter of chemistry XI MIA 1 SMA N 1 Jayapura for the 2023/2024 academic year with line equations linear regression Y = 69.79 + 0.311X.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying the discovery learning model, to determine learning outcomes specifically on spiritual attitudes and social attitudes. This type of research is descriptive research, the sample in this study were X grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Nimboran which amounted to 30 people. The results of this study were that the teacher was able to manage learning activities by applying the discovery learning model at SMA Negeri 1 Nimboran which was indicated by an average score of 3.66 including in the good category, the completeness of the learning outcomes of spiritual attitudes using questionnaires and observations was declared complete with an average score of 92.68 and the completeness of the learning outcomes of social attitudes using questionnaires and observations was declared complete with an average score of 88.19.
