Abstract

Road damage is one of the problems caused by low material quality. The 2018 Bina Marga General Specifications have required material quality for asphalt mixtures, where good quality materials will produce pavement construction with high stability. This research aims to analyze the durability of the AC-BC (Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course) mixture using local materials from PT Sumber Batu Berkah, Tanjungan District, South Lampung Regency without additives based on the Marshall Testing Method. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the effect of soaking time variations of 0.5 hours, 24 hours, 168 hours, and 672 hours with a standard temperature of 60°C, the sample was soaked for a long time would make the stability and durability values smaller. Then obtained IKS value of 91.58% so it has met the minimum Bina Marga Standard of 90% and shows the longer soaking time, the smaller IKS value will obtained. Then for the IDP value is positive which means that the strength decreases by 0.44% during the soaking period so it meets the standard < 1%. And the IDK value of AC-BC mixture is 19.51 where the IDK value has decreased in strength by 19.51% during the soaking time. This is due to the decrease of stability value against the length time of soaking.

Abstract

Roads are one of the land transportation facilities that have an important role in the development of a region. In road construction today, many asphalt concrete mixtures are used which will produce a waterproof and long-lasting pavement layer. The availability of materials at the research location greatly influences the effectiveness of making asphalt concrete mixtures and tends to be cheaper to mobilize. This research was conducted to analyze the comparison of the physical properties of the aggregate and the characteristics of the asphalt concrete mixture in the layers Binder Course using aggregates originating from Tanjungan subdistrict, South Lampung and Way Kanan districts based on Marshall testing methods based on the 2018 Bina Marga specifications. The conclusion of this research is that the mixture using aggregate from Tanjungan is better than the mixture using aggregate from Way Kanan. This is because from the test results it is known that the mixture using aggregate from Tanjungan has better resistance and tightness than the mixture using aggregate from Way Kanan. Key words : asphalt concrete, aggregate, marshall, mixture Jalan merupakan salah satu fasilitas transportasi darat yang mempunyai peran penting dalam perkembangan suatu wilayah. Pada konstruksi jalan saat ini sudah banyak menggunakan campuran aspal beton yang akan menghasilkan lapisan perkerasan yang kedap air dan tahan lama. Ketersediaan bahan atau material di lokasi penelitian sangat berpengaruh dalam efektivitas pembuatan campuran aspal beton dan cenderung lebih murah dalam mobilisasinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganilisis perbandingan sifat fisik agregat dan karakteristik campuran aspal beton pada lapisan Binder Course menggunakan agregat yang berasal dari kecamatan Tanjungan, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dan Way Kanan berdasarkan metode pengujian Marshall berdasarkan spesifikasi Bina Marga 2018. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah campuran yang menggunakan agregat asal Tanjungan lebih baik dari pada campuran yang menggunakan agregat asal Way Kanan. Hal ini dikarenakan dari hasil pengujian diketahui bahwa campuran yang menggunakan agregat asal Tanjungan memiliki ketahan dan kekedapan yang lebih baik dibandingkan campuran yang menggunakan agregat asal Way Kanan. Kata kunci : aspal beton,agregat, marshall, campuran.

Abstract

Asphalt can be modified using polymers which are classified into four main groups, namely: elastomers, thermoplastics, plastomers and reactive polymers. When polymers are added to the mixture it can increase the strength to a higher level. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of adding Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic waste to the Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course (AC-BC) mixture on marshall characteristics which refer to the 2018 Bina Marga specifications. The addition of plastic to the mixture is carried out using a wet method, namely by Add plastic to hot asphalt then mix until homogeneous so that the asphalt and plastic are mixed thoroughly. Marshall characteristics consist of Void in Mix (VIM), Void Mineral Aggregate (VMA), Void Filled Asphalt (VFA), stability, meltability (Flow), and Marshall Quotient (MQ). When adding Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic with levels of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%, the Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) obtained was 5.68%; 5.56%; 5.45%; 5.35%; and 5.28%. From marshall testing, the addition of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) will improve several marshall characteristics, including stability, VIM, VMA, and MQ. The flow and VFA values decreased. Key words : AC-BC, PET, marshall test, Bina Marga 2018 specificationsAspal dapat dimodifikasi dengan menggunakan polimer yang diklasifikasikan menjadi empat kelompok utama, yaitu: elastomer, termoplastik, plastomer, dan polimer reaktif. Ketika polimer ditambahkan ke campuran dapat meningkatkan kekuatan yang lebih tinggi. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan limbah plastik Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) pada campuran Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course (AC-BC) terhadap karakteristik marshall yang mengacu pada spesifikasi Bina Marga tahun 2018. Penambahan plastik kedalam campuran dilakukan dengan cara basah yaitu dengan menambahakan plastik kedalam aspal panas lalu dicampur hingga homogen agar aspal dan plastik tercampur dengan menyeluruh. Karakteristik marshall terdiri dari Void in Mix (VIM), Void Mineral Aggregate (VMA), Void Filled Asphalt (VFA), stabilitas, kelelehan (Flow), dan Marshall Quotient (MQ).  Pada penambahan plastik Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) dengan kadar 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, dan 5% Kadar Aspal Optimum (KAO) yang didapat ialah 5,68%; 5,56%; 5,45%; 5,35%; dan 5,28%. Dari pengujian marshall, penambahan Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) akan meningkatkan beberapa karakteristik marshall antara lain stabilitas, VIM, VMA, dan MQ. Untuk nilai flow dan VFA mengalami penurunan. Kata kunci : AC-BC, PET, pengujian marshall, spesifikasi Bina Marga 2018.

Abstract

Jalan yang sering dilalui kendaraan berat, mengakibatkan penuaan aspal yang dapat menurunkan kualitas aspal tersebut. Inovasi yang dilakukan, yaitu memanfaatkan limbah aspal yang termodifikasi dengan ekstraksi bubuk lindi hitam atau lignin. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik pengikat aspal bekas pakai dengan tambahan lignin dengan kadar 0%, 3%, dan 6%. Pengujian reologi aspal meliputi berat jenis, penetrasi, daktilitas, titik lembek, viskositas.Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aspal bersifat sangat kaku dan membutuhkan suhu yang sangat tinggi untuk mencair. Hasilnya terbukti dari titik lembek tertinggi (78,5°C pada kadar lignin 6%), penetrasi terdalam (9,33 mm pada kadar lignin 0%), daktilitas terpendek (4,15 cm pada kadar lignin 6%), nilai viskositas yang mendekati spesifikasi bina marga (3592,205 cSt pada lignin 3%), Kesimpulannya, bahan zat aditif lignin mampu membuat aspal semakin kaku dan keras dan tidak baik untuk bahan peremajaan aspal.

Abstract

The slowing down of vehicle speed that occurs on Jalan Diponegoro is caused by the behavior of vehicles that make intertwining movements (weaving). This condition causes vehicles traveling straight to reduce vehicle speed due to the presence of vehicles entering from Jalan Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo towards Jalan Diponegoro. Queues that occur on Jalan Diponegoro cause a narrowing of the road, which can cause travel delays. The aim of this research is to analyze travel delays due to interwoven conflicts or weaving that happened on Jalan Diponegoro. This research was analyzed using the method gap acceptance. According to the results of data processing analysis and literature studies, the delay time was 23.28 seconds in the morning and 13.77 seconds in the afternoon for each 5 minute time interval. Key words: Travel Delay, InterwovenConflict, Gap Acceptance.
