Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity provided training techniques for writing scientific works to teachers of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) in the district of Tasikmalaya. This program is followed by 30 teachers of PJOK in the District of Tasikmalaya who are members of the National Sports Teachers' Association (IGORNAS) in Tasikmalaya district. The method of this program is a workshop that is carried out with the methods of lectures, discussions, and consultations, with materials such as the introduction of scientific work, techniques for writing scientific works, and strategies for making articles and submitting them to national journals. To find out the success of the activity, evaluation is done by doing pretests and posttests with asking questions about the writing of scientific work. The results were that 29 participants (97%) stated that the material provided was perfectly suitable for their needs, 1 participant (0.3%) said it was suitable, 30 participants (100%) said that the workshop was beneficial, and then 30 participants (100%) stated that they were motivated to write scientific writing after attending the workshop as well as to create scientific writing independently.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of balance training on increasing the accuracy of the ushiro mawashi geri kick in committee athletes in the karate sport. This study was conducted in an all-experimental method. The subjects of the study were 10 from the Student Activity Unit karate upi athletes. The instrument used was the accuracy of the ushiro mawashi geri kick. Data analysis techniques used ( Descriptive static, test of normality and paired sample T-test). Based on the results of the descriptive static analysis, the minimum pretest and posttest values were 5, the maximum value was 10, the average pretest value of 10 athletes was 6.70 and the standard deviation was 1,636. In the posttest there was a minimum value of 7, a maximum value of 10, the average posttest value of 10 athletes was 8.80 and the standard deviation was 1.398. For normality results If the data is normally distributed or the significance value is > 0.05 then the next step is to use the paired sample t-test , the normal pretest kick accuracy is 0.003 and the normal significance value in the posttest is 0.004. The paired sample T-test data given shows a difference in pairs (Pair Differences) of -2.600 and 1.506 with a mean (average) of 0.476, the 95% confidence interval for the difference is -5.461 to 9. The test shows a significant increase with the results (2-tailed) 0.000 (p <0.05). that it can be concluded that balance training can affect the improvement of the accuracy of the ushiro mawashi geri kick.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of quickness and flexibility training on increasing the reaction time of sickle kicks in pencak silat athletes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study were 16 pencak silat athletes from Banjaran Silat Club, Bandung Regency. Treatment was given through a quickness and flexibility training program for 12 sessions. The measurement instrument used a hit sensor kick shield pad connected to a digital application to measure the reaction time of sickle kicks. The results of statistical analysis showed that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05) based on the Shapiro-Wilk test. The Paired Sample t-Test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values (t = 12.591, p = 0.000). The average reaction time value decreased from 0.58669 seconds to 0.49288 seconds after treatment. These findings indicate that the combination of quickness and flexibility training is effective in increasing the reaction time of sickle kicks. This research contributes to the development of a pencak silat training program based on neuromotor and body flexibility.
