Abstract

Social studies are studied in elementary school. The main objective of social studies is to allow students to become knowledgeable, thinking, and involved citizens in the local and the world community. But in fact, shows that the learning result doesn’t meet the purpose. The primary basis for teaching social studies is depending on the literature as a single-source guide by teachers as a center has become common. This classic method makes students have difficulties in learning and understanding. Applying audio-visual media can help students to be successful in learning IPS, it affirmed by prior researchers. This study's purpose is to analyze: enhancing student achievement in social studies through audio-visual media in grade fourth of elementary school A systematic review represents the research process in qualitative studies. Data were collected from various articles of the researcher.  Milles and Huberman’s techniques are the main method used for data analysis. They divided the process of analysis into three phases, consisting of data reduction, data displays, and diagnosis. Based on the analysis of research data collection showed that audio-visual media usage improving students' achievement of social studies in a grade fourth elementary school. Studying social studies through audio-visual media has been proven to make students more creative, motivated, and easy to follow the teacher's explanations during learning activities

Abstract

Critical thinking skills for elementary school students are very important to face challenges in the era of globalization. This study aimed to determine: 1) critical thinking skills of elementary school students in social studies learning, 2) supporting and inhibiting factors that influence teachers in developing critical thinking of elementary school students in social studies learning, 3) what efforts can be made by teachers in developing students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning. This study used a qualitative approach with research techniques using literature studies. The occurrence of the Corona Virus 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak and the enactment of social and physical distancing became obstacles for researchers because they could not research directly into the field. The data used were secondary data obtained from books, articles, journals, previous research, as well as data that researchers obtain from the internet in accordance with the research problem being studied by the researcher. The results showed that: 1) students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning are still lacking, 2) 2013 curriculum is a supporting factor for teachers in developing critical thinking, and the inhibiting factor is the use of the lecture method which is continuously used without innovation, 3) efforts that can be made teachers to improve critical thinking in the classroom can use several methods, namely: cooperative learning methods are proven to improve students' critical thinking skills, including the TPS method (Think-Pair-Share), scientific approach, social inquiry, problem-based and or project-based learning, collaborative or cooperative and active-participatory methods, increasing interaction between students, asking open-ended questions or innovative questions that can trigger students' thinking skills.

Abstract

In PKn Learning in the concept of being proud as an Indonesian child there are many third grade students of SDIT Harapan Ummat Jakarta who get a less than optimal score. From the results of observations, the teacher uses a less varied learning method so that it does not support student activity and is less focused on the subject matter. Therefore, to improve the learning process, using the Cooperative Script model is expected to help students improve and improve their learning outcomes. The specific purpose of this study is to identify the steps and improve student learning outcomes through the Cooperative Script model in PKn learning. The type of this research used was Classroom Action Research using the Kemis and Teggart models conducted at SDIT Harapan Ummat with 35 students. The results of this study experienced a lot of improvement in activities and learning outcomes. from the results of observing the activities of students in the first cycle that is 57%, with enough categories and experiencing an increase in the second cycle to 84%, with the category Very good. While the average value of student learning outcomes in pre-cycle 36, cycle I 75.2, and cycle II increased to 92. From the results obtained concluded that learning using Cooperative Script learning models in Civics learning on the concept of pride has succeeded with increasing learning outcomes students. Recommendations to teachers as a reference for preparing lesson plans in improving professional skills in teaching Civics material for students in their classrooms, as well as broadening teacher insights and knowledge in applying Cooperative Script learning models.

Abstract

Sosialisasi Program Merdeka Belajar Bagi Guru-Guru Sd Di Kecamatan Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dalam rangka sosialisasi program merdeka belajar bagi guru SD di Kecamatan Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada guru SD tentang program merdeka belajar yang telah disampaikan oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode mensosialisasikan program merdeka belajar. Target audiens dalam kegiatan tersebut adalah 15 orang guru SD di Kecamatan Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten yang berjumlah 30 orang. Angket diberikan kepada guru untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman guru setelah mengikuti sosialisai. Terbatasnya jumlah peserta yang diperbolehkan hadir dikarenakan kondisi pandemic yang mengharuskan adanya social distancing. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini, berdasarkan angket yang disebar diperoleh hasil bahwa para guru SD di Kecamatan Jiput (80%) mampu memahami merdeka belajar dan dapat mulai menerapkannya di sekolahnya masing-masing. Respon dari peserta sangat positif terhadap kegiatan ini dan mereka berharap kegiatan ini dapat dilanjutkan.

Abstract

Penyebaran teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk kegiatan pembelajaran akhir-akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengarahkan produk-produk teknis agar dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik untuk kepentingan pengembangan pendidikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian literatur terhaadap pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran di SD.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan meriview artikel dengan cara menyimpulkan beberapa artikel yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran yang diunduh dari google schooler dan artikel yang pernah ditulis oleh penulis itu sendiri yang juga berkaitan atau berhubungan antara satu artikel dengan artikel lainnya. Dan berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran dapat memberikan informasi yang jelas bagi siswa, serta dengan menggunakan media dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik dapat membuat anak lebih fokus pada indera pengelihatan.Namun dalam hal ini diperlukan juga kreatifitas guru untuk membuat materi ajar melalui platfrom youtube semenarik mungkin selain itu dukungan fasilitas seperti pemerataan jaringan sehingga pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan menggunakan media ini dapat berjalan sesuai yang di harapkan.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data Jambeck (2015), Indonesia berada di peringkat kedua dunia penghasil sampah plastik ke laut yang mencapai sebesar 187,2 juta ton setelah Cina yang mencapai 262,9 juta ton. Dirjen Pengelolan Sampah, Limbah, dan B3 KLHK Tuti Hendrawati Mintarsih menyebut total jumlah sampah Indonesia di 2019 akan mencapai 68 juta ton, dan sampah plastik diperkirakan akan mencapai 9,52 juta ton atau 14 persen dari total sampah yang ada. Saat ini sampah, terutama sampah plastik merupakan momok yang sangat mengerikan bagi masyrakat. Pengolahan dan pemanfaatan sampah yang kurang efektif menjadi salah satu penyebabnya. Salah satu pengolahan sampah plastik adalah pembuatan Eco Bricks dimana pengolahan ini sangat bermanfaat dengan mengurangi sampah plastik karena botol plastik bekas akan digunakan dengan diisi dalam nya oleh bekas sampah plastik, sehingga tidak ada kata membakar sampah plastic, tetapi sampah plastic tersebut di masukan ke dalam botol plastik sampai penuh dengan di dorong oleh stick sehingga botol tersebut padat. Disusun sedemikian rupa dan menjadi barang yang dapat bermanfaat kembali untuk masyarakat. Kaujon kidul RW.02 dipilih sebagai tempat pengabdian dan sosialisasi Eco Bricks pertimbangan utamanya adalah yang pertama kampus universitas pendidikan Indonesia di Serang beralamat di kaujon Serang, kedua kaujon kidul RW.02 ini digunakan pula oleh mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia sebagai tempat KKN Tematik pembersihan kali Cibanten, alasan yang ketiga adalah tingkat kesadaran masyarakat sekitar kali Cibanten ini sangat rendah dalam hal pengolahan sampah ditambah lagi dengan kurangnya sosialisasi dari pemerintah terkait pentingnya kesadaran akan sampah dan pemanfaatan sampah, merupakan pertimbangan lain bagi adanya perlatihan ini. Hal ini harus digaris bawahi ialah kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan sampah pelastik untuk mengurangi sampah plastik yang sulit untukdiuraikan oleh bumi. Dengan adanya pengabdian ini agar mengedukasi masyarakat di Kaujon Kidul Rw 02 Kota Serang agar dapat memanfaatkan sampah pelastik menjadi barang-barang yang bernilai jual dan tercapainya tujuan dari program pengabdian ini yaitu mengurangi intensitas sampah plastik.

Abstract

Social studies subjects are one of the lessons that are trained in elementary schools. The age of elementary school students is at the concrete operational stage, this situation shows that students in elementary school still find it difficult to pursue abstract learning. However, in reality, in social studies learning the teacher only uses the lecture method and does not utilize the media during the teaching and learning process. This situation makes students feel bored quickly, unmotivated and passive during the learning process so that the learning outcomes to be achieved are less than optimal. Therefore, efforts are needed in making various kinds of media so that they can be used in the learning process. This study aims to determine the application of monopoly media in social studies learning in Theme 5 to increase activity and learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school students. The method applied in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) by taking the Kemmis & Mc. Taggart. The data collection instruments used in this study were interviews, observations and tests. This research was carried out in several stages, namely pre-cycle and cycle. Pre-cycle consists of observation and reflection. Meanwhile, the cycle stage includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students at SDN Serang 07 with 25 members. This research is said to be successful if the indicators of success are achieved, namely the percentage of learning activities and student learning outcomes that increase or meet the target of 80% or more, and the student learning outcomes get a score of 70. The results showed that: (1) the learning activities of fifth graders experienced an increase while using monopoly media, this was evidenced by the increasing percentage, starting from the pre-cycle the percentage was 38.2%, in the first cycle it increased to 73.4%, in the first cycle it was 73.4%. the second cycle increased again to 89.4% and got very good percentage criteria, (2) the learning outcomes of class V students increased while using monopoly media, this was evidenced by the increasing percentage during the activity cycle, starting from the pre-cycle to get a percentage of 32% , in the first cycle it increased to 68%, in the second cycle it increased again to 88% and got very good percentage criteria.

Abstract

In IPS, there.are a few contemplations that are firmly related to.the sociologies, like monetary viewpoints, social collaboration, history, geography. A play scene that can't be isolated from the understudies in grade school. through playing understudies can foster agreement and influence understudies to feel glad in play. This foundation was driven by perceptions at SDN Serang VII during learning in the 4th grade in October 2021, in this perception tracked down that instructors in conveying material too exhausting even caused understudies to become idle, and learning results were missing, particularly in IPS. The method.used.in this.study.is a homeroom movement research. (PTK) with plans from Kemmis and Taggart, by having 4 stages in it in each cycle, comprising of planning, execution, perception, and reflection, with a quantitative methodology. Information data in research: meetings, tests and variety. In the use of the pretending technique in the investigation of topic 4 (IPS) to further develop understudy learning results in grade 4 experienced changes in amount, the change was seen from understudy exercises, instructors and understudy learning results, in the pre-pattern of understudy action by 430 (47% of classifications less), cycle I by 560 (62% great classification), cycle II 782 (78% with great classification), then, at that point, on educator movement during pre-cycle 44% with classification (adequate), then, at that point, expanded in cycle I 88% (great) and expanded in cycle II 94% with class (great), and afterward on understudy learning results during pre-cycle 1,460 with a normal score of 58.4 with a rate (28% class less), then, at that point, in cycle I 1,915 with a normal score of 76 with a rate (44% of adequate classes) and expanded in cycle II 2,210 with a normal score of 88.4 with a rate (88% great classification), Thus the ends got in this review in the application.of the strategy for cultivating to further develop the learning results of fourth grade understudies in subject 4 learning (IPS) are announced effective, in light of the fact that there has been an increment and change in the amount of learning in the class.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology growth have become a learning solution when the Covid-19 pandemic has had a lot of positive effects in the world of education. Technology becomes a tool for some learning problems. One of them is what happened to students of State Elementary School of Lialang. The problem with the first-grade students of State Elementary School of Lialang was that there were students who find it difficult to learn and have difficulty understanding the material. The author's purpose in assisting students is to help students who do not understand the material given by the teacher. The excellent community service work program that the author does in the field of education is a mentoring program for first-grade students’ learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity was carried out for 1 month in July 2021 in Lialang Village, precisely at State Elementary School of Lialang, Serang City, Banten online and offline. The online learning process used Whatsapp Group Video Calls, while offline learning through visit once a week 5 to 6 students go to school for 2 hours by complying with the Covid-19 health protocols. The authors hope that the program that be implemented goes well and after the implementation of this program can help first-grade students who have difficulty in the learning process. In the future, the authors hope that the learning process during this pandemic will continue to make students enthusiastic about learning and can make the Indonesian people smarter even though trough different modes.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai hal salah satunya adalah penggunaan metode yang monoton. Selama proses pembelajaran di kelas guru masih belum menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Metode role playing menekankan agar siswa melakukan perannya masing-masing sesuai dengan karakter yang dimainkan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SDN Lontar Baru, Kota Serang. Data yang ditemukan berdasarkan hasil persentase penggunaan role playing oleh siswa pada siklus I diperoleh persentase sebesar 78,9% dan pada siklus II persentasenya meningkat menjadi 100% dengan kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan untuk nilai rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II 55% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 70% kemudian dilakukan perbaikan sehingga pada siklus II nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 100% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode role playing pembelajaran IPS menemukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: capaian pembelajaran, bermain peran
