Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan adanya hubungan antara komitmen terhadap organisasi dan minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar pada taruna Politeknik Pelayaran Sulawesi Utara. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 Partisipan taruna dan taruni di Politeknik Pelayaran Sulawesi Utara yang mengambil jurusan Nautika dan Permesinan Kapal dan aktif selama dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada seluruh partisipan untuk mendapatkan data terkait komitmen terhadap organisasi dan minat belajar siswa. Sedangkan untuk data terkait prestasi belajar siswa, peneliti menggunakan transkrip nilai siswa. untuk pengelolaan data, peneliti menggunakan sistem SPSS dan kemudian menginterpretasikan hasilnya berdasarkan interpretasi peneliti yang juga berperan sebagai instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari adanya keterkaitan antara komitmen terhadap organisasi dan minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa. Terakhir, penelitian ini menemukan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara komitmen terhadap organisasi dan minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Ships used for shipping goods, especially on the MV. Cap San Juan there are things that must be considered, one of which is the reefer container which has strict maintenance and control to know that the reefer container can work optimally. In this case the reefer container has a risk of damage to its components so that the reefer container does not function as it should. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss as a form of effort in handling if damage occurs and unwanted obstacles occur. This study aims to determine the causes and effects of mechanical damage to reefer containers on ships and to find out how to overcome reefer containers that experience mechanical damage on the high seas based on field conditions. The research method used is a qualitative method using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation regarding the handling of reefer containers when problems occur. Based on the results of observations made by the author regarding the various obstacles that occur in reefer containers during sea practice, there are two causes, namely component damage because it has passed the time limit for use and an electrical short circuit in one of its components which causes the reefer container to not be able to work optimally. This happened because there was no thorough checking and lack of maintenance.

Abstract

On March 23, 2024, MT. Joy Chemist failed a tank inspection at SK Gas 1 Terminal, Ulsan, South Korea, due to residual cargo, delaying loading. This study analyzes tank cleaning for Mineral Base Oil, causes of residual contamination, and strategies for improving tank cleanliness. Data were collected through observations, interviews with the Chief Officer, Boatswain, and AB, and document analysis. Fishbone analysis found suboptimal equipment, weak supervision, and inefficient time allocation as key factors. Recommendations include equipment maintenance, better time management, and strict SOP-based supervision to enhance tank cleaning effectiveness and vessel efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how to optimize ship maneuvers when traversing the Barito River's small shipping channel in bad weather.  Researchers have observed that when a ship turns through a bend in the narrow Barito River channel, particularly in inclement weather, there are frequently hazards or undesirable things that occur. This is because the duty chief on board failed to pay attention to the direction and strength of the current, which caused the ship's stern to be carried away by the current, closing the channel. This study's qualitative descriptive methodology is based on facts experienced by the researchers on board and generates data directly from the research location.  Direct interviews with research participants, literature and documentation studies, and observation are the methods used in this instance to get data about the object.  According to the findings of this study, ship movements during inclement weather while traversing the Barito River's tight channel at SPB. LAIS. Manoeuvring errors resulting from the duty chief's carelessness are the primary reason of the ship's difficulties.  In order to ensure that the voyage proceeds safely, effectively, and efficiently, the researcher recommends that the duty chief be more cautious while on duty and learn the proper technique for crossing the Barito River to prevent navigation dangers.

Abstract

Abstrak: MT. Cendrawasih merupakan aset milik PT. Pertamina International Shipping. MT. Cendrawasih berfungsi khusus sebagai Mother Ship dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ship-to-ship transfer. Kasus keterlambatan yang terjadi pada saat kegiatan ship-to-ship dengan SPOB Allvina 03 di OB Balikpapan telah menimbulkan konsekuensi serius, termasuk penerimaan Letter of Protest dari terminal karena melebihi estimasi waktu yang telah ditetapkan. Dampaknya, keterlambatan tersebut mengakibatkan gangguan pada jadwal penyandaran kapal lainnya di pelabuhan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab keterlambatan proses bongkar muatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada analisis kerusakan pompa cargo sebagai penyebab utama dari keterlambatan tersebut.Riset lapangan dilakukan di kapal MT. Cendrawasih dengan melibatkan chief officer dan loading master sebagai informan utama guna mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terkait permasalahan ini. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa keterlambatan yang terjadi disebabkan oleh tidak berfungsinya salah satu cargo pump. Sebagai solusi, penelitian ini menyarankan upaya penanggulangan melalui implementasi perawatan menyeluruh terhadap alat bongkar muatan, termasuk cargo pump, valve cargo, dan manifold. Jenis perawatan yang direkomendasikan mencakup Preventive Maintenance/Periodic Maintenance, Prediktif Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, dan Breakdown Maintenance sesuai dengan pedoman perawatan kapal.
